Lock & Go Self Storage

I've been a customer of Lock N Go Storage for more than a year now and my experience with the owner…read moreKelly has been nothing but positive. The storage units are clean and secure, with easy access. The rents are reasonable and there are plenty of available accessories for moving heavy items around. The business is locally owned--I'm a believer in supporting local small business. And it's the owner, Kelly, who seals the deal. She manages the entire facility herself and treats people with courtesy, warmth, and respect, even when they do things they're not supposed to. Like me, for example. One evening, I went to the facility with a big moving truck, not realizing it was after hours. As me and my riends were moving furniture into the truck, Kelly appeared. She respectfully advised me of the security protocols. Most companies would have insisted I leave immediately; but this was my only opportunity to get my furniture for my new apartment. Understanding this, Kelly agreed to let me continue loading the truck and do what I needed to do, while she stayed on premise. This may not seem like much, but she really didn't have to do it. She could have called the police on me or ordered me off the property. But she didn't. Not only was I able to get moved, but her actions protected all her other customers interests, as well. I fell on hard times shortly thereafter and was unable to keep up with the rent. Despite being behind in rent, Kelly worked with me with compassion and kindness until I was able to get back on my feet. My experience with Kelly and Lock N Go has been superb; I wish more businesses were operated the way Kelly does hers. If I could give her ten stars, I would.

Cranky manager. security measures misleading. Be sure to read the fine terms of their contract if…read moreyou choose to store here (screen shot attached). Theft of RV components is on the rise per local police dept. Storage facilities should take an interest in protecting their customers assets. But this one definitely does NOT and has a "not our problem" attitude. This is not a one star review only because yes, they do have parking spots to store an RV in South Salem. So a star for that. If you're flexible about location, look elsewhere and ask questions about security measures. Edited 5/16: There is a tall security fence with imposing looking barbed wire and a sign that says Security Camera in Use on the front gate. But in the back, the cyclone fence is 5' tall, no barbed wire. And the only security camera is in the front by the gate. Thieves totally use the front gate, right?

I like preface my reviews with, "I am not a foodie", but this is about storage, RV storage…read morespecifically so, food ain't a thing. That being said, what I am is a customer service snob. But storage is like plumbing, you don't think about it until you need it, and it's not a problem unless it is. And this place is a problem. Seems they don't believe RV older than 2007 should exist and only store them. Why? According to the person on the phone "image". "We don't want people to put spaces on auto pay while their older RV rots" Kinds bigoted, but since ageism against RV isn't illegal, perfectly acceptable. Except it's not. My RV is in perfect working order, it's just fine, clean, and way too good for this place. So is yours. With so many other places to choose from in the Salem area, you're better off. Oh and they aren't even that cheap!

Listen folks, it's hard sometimes to find a decent RV park that has space, well groomed landscape,…read moreaccommodating staff, and just a feeling of being home. I'm on the road a lot for my work, and I tend to stay places for weeks if not months at a time. When I called to make the reservation, Sharon, the woman who took my call, was most pleasurable to work with. They didn't require the third degree to get you in for a monthly rate. Nothing like that RV park up in Wilsonville just off interstate five, which actually took three days to do a background check before allowing me to stay for a month! Sharon helped me get settled in, she let me pick the spot I wanted, and her park guy, Robert, came and helped me actually set things up. Not that I needed the help, but it was just so nice to have people make you feel at home. This park is situated well off interstate five and takes about 20 minutes to get there from interstate five. It's a bit of a hassle to get your trailer through Salem, but once you get to the RV park you realize it's well worth the trip. This park couldn't be quieter. The spaces are large and the landscape is impeccable. She actually suggested paying for a monthly rate because it was cheaper than paying a weekly rate for a few weeks. You have a lot of full timers here, but you don't have any crap laying around. Nearly all of the trailers are late-model, and these people are serious RVers. The park is very clean, the showers are incredibly nice, the laundry facilities are adequate, and the lobby is nice just to go in and sit down and read a good book. If I had any complaints, it would be the quality of the cable TV service. Each site seems to be daisychained from the site next to it, so you get a lot of interference on most of the channels. Of course if you have a satellite dish, this won't be an issue. And the Internet is not that fast, so don't expect to be watching any movies on the Internet or downloading large files. It's adequate enough for basic email. Don't confuse this Premier RV park with the one that's out on the highway five. They are completely different. Take my word for it, this is the park to stay if you're in or around Salem. And it's pet friendly too!! If you're interested in seeing my review about the Wilsonville RV park, just go to my members page and search. Happy trails!

The grounds were nice and neatly kept. The bathrooms are incredibly clean and you have your own shower stall, locked with a bench just sit down on and put your belongings on. I also loved how they kept women safe and secure with the card key entry codes to the showers and bathrooms is a separate card number than the men's. I've often wondered about why parks don't keep women safe from men that are staying in the park. This was a very nice feature for me. Only thing is if you're going to be working and you need consistent Wi-Fi, I would have a back up option. We did find the Wi-Fi sparse and spotty at times but other than that it was an incredible park to stay at and we will be back next year.
