He built the storage units at MPLS Storage himself (it's family-owned and operated). He showed me the 12ft walls, and how they can't be scaled by anything short of a full-sized ladder (ESS has 8-foot walls that can be cleared with a lawn chair). Tenants are admitted to their units by appointment only, which means no strangers following another customer through an unlocked door like at ESS. Most importantly, he listened. He heard my concerns and addressed them immediately. He's a human being who wants to help others store their belongings safely and securely, and he's the opposite of the experience I had at ESS. If you need to store stuff and don't mind making appointments, store your stuff at MPLS. You won't regret it.

Furthermore, I'm on the upper level of this two-story facility, and the elevator only works about a third of the time. This is a clean facility, probably because it's kind of new. And if you get a space on the bottom level, you won't have to worry about the elevator. But I would advise against getting an upper-level space here unless you don't think you'll need the elevator.

They worked efficiently and had a great attitude as they moved about 45 boxes in the rain. Our quote was for 2.25 hours & they finished in about 3. There were a few extra items that we added after quote. Price was between $600-800. We have never used a moving company before so we are extremely appreciative of the great service we had!

I've had to rent from them a dozen times and it has never taken them less than half an hour to figure out how to give you what you rented.

There was a problem with the lights, and I needed to know if it was the trailer at fault or my car. I asked to hook up to one of the 10 other trailers next to us to see if the lighting was a trailer or car issue. He refused and said the only thing we can do is call. Called and asked what to do, put on hold for 45 minutes before someone answered (didn't actually put me on hold for the first ten minutes of the call and I only heard the workers talking and laughing with each other before putting me on hold when they heard me asking questions). They said the man shouldn't have done that but there was nothing else they can do. Hung up before I could ask for a refund. Called again for a refund and was on hold for another 45 minutes before I had to hang up again and just called another UHaul place (University Ave.) who answered right away and was compliant in answering my questions and concerns. I don't know who is the manager of this store, but do better. Train your workers to do their job and make sure everyone is on the same page of doing what this job is, customer service, and ensure in trying to make sure everything is well. Otherwise what is the actual point of this service.
