They raise the price after your first 6months to a year and they will cut your lock off your unit if you fall 30 days behind. Then they'll force you to pay for the new lock they replaced yours with, all because they're rushing to put your belongings up for auction! Poor customer service, the front desk is either absent or have an attitude. I would run far away from this company If they offer you a good deal. Everything good isn't always good for you! read more

These dumbasses are jacking up the rent far too much. I've already filed with the AG here who will be looking into them, since these clowns decided to throw in liens immediately within a 10 day period. Missouri law, Section 415.415. Guess they missed it. Took them a very long time to replace my unit door. So I'm just gonna move my shit the moment I can. read more

Thank you Courtnee. I had my unit broken into and trashed. The person I initially reported it to didn't do anything. I went back to discuss again and Courtnee took my experience serious and took the necessary steps to resolve. It's appreciated as the items that were taken and/or damaged were for my event planning business and caused me to pivot a project I had for the weekend read more

Public Storage - My trashed and broken into unit - Self Storage Near Me - Saint Louis, Missouri

The only thing this place does right is for your things not to be stolen. They are scam artists that keep raising rent hoping you don't pay so they can seize your belongings. I originally got a unit for $89 and after 3 mos, they raised it to $109. Okay, fine, maybe it was a promo and it's your biz, charge what you want. After I was there for 1 year, they informed me my rent was going up to $129. I didn't know i was signing up for someone to hold my belongs hostage and extort me. I didn't know of the price hike and was late so I called upset. I talked to the manager about the issue and later that week, I was given notice that my contract was being cancelled because I talked bad about the company. I guess that's a trigger for them since they upset so many people. So, now, 2yrs in, they raise my rent to $149!! They are the WORST and don't understand simple customer service. For example, I told them I have my own rental insurance and I didn't need theirs. I was still charged $29/mo for it. I complained and they sad they needed proof. So, I took the time to go to the office, during business hours, and no one was there. I waited 35 minutes, nothing. I left to return another day. This time I only waited 20 minutes for someone to show up and I quickly went in to talk to the person that tried to cancel my contract already once. I showed her the insurance and she said it was updated on my account. Next month, I was still charged. I finally talked to a regional manager and he told me I could do it myself online. I told him I talked to his manager and he brushed it off, saying if she saw it, then it would have been removed. They are all lying for each other. Shady company, dishonest employees. Dont use this place unless you have to. Just try to lock in your pricing and get it in writing or you will be another pawn in their storage scam. read more

Emergency - worker ran off without giving people drivers license they took and other customers need locks to the box they paid for

I paid $858 during the month of June! My storage bill at that time was $286 per month. My bill for August is $345!! Two questions: Where did the rest of my money go? Why do you keep raising their prices by one hundred dollars or more every year considering there's been no additional customer service or expanded area. read more

This is possibly the worst company I've ever dealt with. We moved out of this unit because it leaks consistently. They Charger us for a month after leaving even after the unit leaked twice. Their staff dose not have any communication to their corporate office and the customer service is also completely separate. Stay away from this place. Horrible experience read more

The lock on my truck was cut in their so called secure parking area. Don't trust this place

Customer service is TERRIBLE!!! The bathrooms are locked. You can't use the trash and nobody is there to help with anything! I hate this place so much. Payed $150 per month for crappy service. They get 1 star cuz they keep it clean! read more

I rented a climate controlled unit online, and received a confirmation call from this location within minutes after. I decided to do a self move-in, and the directions were clear, with everything ready to go on my "move in" date. I was worried because I was arriving after a 10hr drive with a giant UHaul, but surprisingly everything went very smoothly when I showed up. The building is extremely clean and secure, with easy on/off interstate access. read more

Simply put... Quick... ... And hasstle-free... All done online... Didn't even need nor meet an agent, though they became available during normal business hours... Yes, the store wasn't even open yet. Went online, reserved unit, chose and paid (1st month rent free with one-time fee)for unit, opted for insurance and security lock ( which was already available in secured unit upon arrival). Downloaded the App and received the gate, elevator, and pass code... Was moved in within an hour... Again... Simply put... Quick... Convenient... And hasstle-free... All done online... read more

To start the people in the front desk are clueless and rude. They also charged me for a lock and told me that a push lock was required but at move in I saw regular locks on several units. What I was told I'd be charged on for my first month was not what they charged me. They can't be honest about anything. Only going to use it a few months and I'm glad for that. read more

Placed an order and cancelled in less than an hour. They kept 30 for administration fee and another 20 plus tax for a lock. I was told to go to the office to be refunded for the lock but the entire order was paid for with a credit card. Do not use these people. You will be sorry. There are hidden fees and the site is misleading. I was told to place my order even though it was trying to charge me for the 1st month when they advertise 1st month free. This company is a bunch of thieves. read more

The most friendly staff that I have ever encounter. The place is nice & CLEAN OMG!!! LOVE YOU GALS!!! 2

I would not recommend this company to anyone! They have raised my monthly rent over 100% in less than 2 years. I started out I think it was $125.00 per month. NOW it is $275.00! They are now higher than any other storage facility in the area. There is NO WAY their cost of doing business has increased that much. From talking to the different managers, as there have been several, their pay and benefit package is terrible. Pathetic greedy parasites! read more

$325.00 a month i pay on autopay each and every month for over a year now - & for the past 2 months i can't get a cart to roll my stuff up, in, out. or down. Seriously ... $325.00 a month & NO CARTS ever - WHEN THE PLACE HAS A TOTAL OF 6. They only release the carts during reg lobby hours - which varies depending on who is in the office-- 9a-6p. It's bad enough this place doesn't have 24 hour access now i have to work around their schedule to get a cart to use.... even tho i have a FULL TIME job-- ~ $325.00 a month EACH MONTH on Auto pay!!!!!' Really?!? read more

Nightmare experience! Paid to store my f450 work truck there for several months. When I just picked it up (been about 30 days since ive driven it), the catalytic converter had been cut off. I had words with someone claiming to be a manager, & I was physically threatened. I would have been better off going anywhere else, or just leaving my vehicle on a random street. read more

the unit is dirty there was a dirty razor in it and they claimed that they cleaned it! It's definitely not climate controlled it was freezing the front door was Atleast 2-3 inches from the ground leaving this large gap opened for whatever to get in it! Bunch of false advertising! read more

I needed a storage unit quickly and with Public Storage, the whole process was available on line. It was so incredibly easy! They have an app where you can manage EVERYTHING-from paying the rent to opening the gate. They supply a lock (which was amazing and I didn't have to go buy one!) and when you go to your assigned unit it is there waiting for you. The entire process was done quickly, it was extremely organized, easy and I never spoke with anyone! If you want to speak with staff, they are there by phone, email and have great office hours. I highly recommend! read more

I needed storage space for my business and I was able to get one within 2 hours (I was working). It has been remodeled and rebuilt and it's very nice. It's very secure and I feel comfortable with my business equipment being there. They also have affordable insurance for your belongings if you don't have any. I recommend the Public Storage on S 3rd street plus is this my second tone using them. It's been over 5 years but I new I was going to go back to them. read more

First off I was quoted One price for a month after I moved my stuff n the storage my first month was a lot higher than what I was quoting and they said I had Auto pay turned on I never turned on any kind of Auto pay the price that they're charging me is like 40/50 more than what I was quoted I'm moving out on the 4th but they're going to charge me for a full 30 days of July which I think is way wrong I didn't know authorize anybody to go in to take money out of my account but they went in and took their full payment out of my account I talked to the area manager that was useless I don't know what kind of scam they're doing but it's a way wrong what they've done and if I was you I would do it different storage unit I wouldn't even go near public storage so here's to you public storage you you guys are something else quote somebody a price and they come in and it's totally different and then going to come in and take money out of your account if you want on the authorized to do and then you won't argue with me over my money and you had no right to come into my account so we'll see what's going to happen but I'm doing a review for people that don't have public storage I'm telling you one do not use public storage. read more

Do nothing online. Always go in store to rent unit space. Someone broke into my unit and since I didn't have any insurance "that everyone suppose to have" and someone got my values. They claim that booking online it tells u you need insurance but it didn't. When I went into the office to finish booking for my unit the lady asked me did I want insurance and I said no. If we all suppose to have insurance why are they asking do we want it like its a option?? So after most of my stuff was stolen I was out of luck on my part. So I decided to get the insurance. I paid the extra 5 buck for the remaining of that month. I also decided to move my stuff into anther unit sine they offered that as well. However, it was too far for me so I decided to keep my stuff in the same unit since I have the insurance now right, make sense. Lol, after a 2 days they called me saying that I have a balance due of $7 bucks and some odd change from the new unit because that was the prorate before the month is over. This a joke right? Someone broke into my unit. They offer me to move to another one. I said yes but decided to not move. So instead of waiving the fees because you know I got my stuff broken into so that's why I am moving my stuff in the first place now I have to pay for a unit that I didn't even move into?? Yea okay. The day after that call I moved my stuff out and ask the lady for cooperate number and of course she gave me the number to book a unit ,lol. I called a Public Storage out of state and was able to speak with someone who gave me another number to call and the problem got resolved. I believe its homeless people living in those units. When I was moving my stuff out I seen 3 people going into a unit with grocery bags. They didn't have a car or nothing and they looked like they were homeless. I do not recommend this Public Storage! read more

Obviously the 2 people who left the 5 star reviews work for public storage or totally oblivious. There are homeless people living in the units. 70 percent of the security lights are out at night, I have ask them to address these concerns repeatedly with no action. Due to the dangerous situation I am going to have to pay to move my stuff to a more secure storage facility. read more
