I rented a storage unit here, 10053 Lake underhill, Rd, Orlando, FL 32825, during a Halloween promotion and was told repeatedly that my rate would never increase. Just two days later, I received a call saying the rent would go up next month. I asked for clarification several times at sign-up, so this feels misleading. I had been looking around for personal storage in transition of selling my house, some places are all automated, no real personnel and questions only answered through website only! I have been renting for over 5 years in different location as I move around the county I choose to move while looking for what is best for me. I have been in the current location for almost 2 years and the reason why I am leaving is that they keep increasing the price every 6 month disregarding that you have been a loyal customer for so many years. Therefore I decided to move out and try another storage company with much lower price that Public storage with same service and a more clean looking storage facility. read more

I received call on Jan 21st from a district manager that informed me my damaged unit would be fixed. He stated they could not move my stuff into another unit, nor would I have to move my stuff at all. This sound great to me, as my unit is filled from bottom to top and I couldn't afford to have it moved again. I would told a tarp would cover the roof of my unit, until it could be repaired to prevent damage. On 27 Jan, it rained all day long in our area. So I go to check on my stuff on 28 Jan, and once again the problem has not been fixed, and water is standing on top of my stuff. and not tarp on the roof. Why do they keep lying to me!!!! I pay almost $200 per month my stuff is not protected from water damage. This is a violation of 36 CFR 1234.10(g). I don't have the means to move my stuff as my husband is a driver and out of town driving. The storage unit will not fix nor offer to help me have my stuff moved. This is a violation of storage facility responsibility and I don't know what to do. Please help! read more

This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced. The 2 ladies in the front office where very unprofessional and rude. We got there around 4:40 and the ladies in the office where extremely unprofessional and at first didn't want to attend us because they said the process takes about 30 min and they said they where only there until 5. Then finally Sheila that was a little more nicer decided to help my brother while the other lady sat there making rude comments like "that's why all of your stuff is in storage and my stuff is at home". I will be taking all my things out and never will I rent from these people again! read more

Very bad place. Gate is almost always up so anybody can get in. There is a reason why they give out gate codes so that people without units will no go in and rob your space. The obviously don't know this. Also they fail to put out rat bate that kills rats so the rat population is horrendous and they will destroy your boxes and make a home in them and pee and poop all among your stuff. Moved my things in and within days my unit was infested with mice and rats. There are gaps between units so this had to come from a neighboring unit/surrounding area as my items were all clean when we moved in. I spoke to management immediately. I asked to move my belongings to a clean unit, which was denied - they said to file an insurance claim(which I did, but will not pay for much) meanwhile my belongings were being further damaged. I set traps and bait myself and made plans to move my things out. I was charged early for my next month of rent. When I moved out, we found a HUGE decomposing rat covered in maggots...it was disgusting. read more

I selected my move out date for October 30, 2020 and did so online. I looked at my account the next day, still showed I was occupying the unit. I called and told them I did it online and they asked me if I stopped by the office! I was never told to stop by the office and she seemed to have a bad attitude. She asked me if I left anything in the unit. I told her I took everything out that I owned. I even took a video of the entire unit before leaving and took my lock with me. Still shows I have a account balance even though I moved out before the next payment/month. Smh. This is not a great storage place. I regret renting from them. Beware of this place. read more

Worst storage unit eveeeer!!! My unit was damaged and we had to call the county and file a non compliant claim. It's been a week and still nothing has been fixed. Btw I had a 10x15 which come to find out my unit wasn't really that size!!! It was much smaller. Staff are extremely rude and not very helpful. Save the headache and go somewhere else better because your stuff will get ruined. I should have listened to the reviews before I moved in. Luckily, I went to CubeSmart and their customer service is A1. They are known for their customer service! Please note that you may want to save money but by doing that it's going to cost you more in the long run because your things will get damaged. It's Florida! read more

Not in the best location but used to be cheap. Had one on site manager steal stuff out of my unit after cutting the lock off "by mistake". It wasn't a mistake that they never contacted me about this and I didn't findout for 8 months. Now every few months the price increases and you can't be late more than ten days or they auction off you things. Before it was if you were late over a month or two. Greedy people trying to make money by taking peoples item through less than normal or moral ways. Would not rent here again. read more
