ZERO STARS IF I COULD! The manager is one of the rudest people I have ever talked to. first they double charged me one month and then told me I had to call my bank to get a refund because they won't do it. so the next month my auto pay didn't work because of that... so they charge me a late fee. then when I cancel my membership my app stopped working so I couldnt get in to get the rest of my stuff and cindy calls me and tells me shes charging me 250 dollars for a couple little boxes that were left and I have to pay another full month because I wasn't all the way out by the 1st. but how could I if my app stops working? total bs! oh and not to mention they give u a great deal to start with but every month or two your rate increases 50 bucks. total scam! never again will I use this place and I wouldn't recommend you do either. (the district manger is pretty nice tho ok the phone) read more

I'd give zero stars if I could. I've rented at this facility since 2020 and wish I never had. It's a "secure facility" - when the gates are actually working, otherwise they leave it open. There's rarely ever anyone in the office, so good luck talking to anyone. This is my second Unit because someone else's caught fire in the first building and they forced me to move out and tried to make me move out of the whole complex but the office staff found me another unit. But the worst are the rates... and they border on fraudulent and deceptive marketing. They are a "month to month" facility and they adjust rates based on demand, yada yada, their whole excuse factory. Rented my unit on 2022 at $127 per month... then it went up to $177 a few months later... then over $200, and then in 2025 went to $309 per month. Here we are, 2026 with a $309 per month rental while they still list the "standard price" for the same unit on their website at $157. Absolutely abhorrent behavior and probably something states attorneys general should be looking at. Avoid at all costs, they give your enticing rates to draw you in and then drop the hammer because they know it's not convenient to change units and move your stuff. read more

Never experienced such a hassle-free, accommodating and exceptional customer service at a storage facility as I have at the 144th st location. Ben and DJ were helpful from the very start to the last day of my storage unit. Ben had walked me through the easiest method of payment processing and assisted when I had an issue with the gate opening(my error on the app). When I reached out to let them know my last day of usage, DJ seamlessly took care of the final invoice and received the confirmation email swiftly upon our conversation. Their attitude, patience and knowledge made this storage experience a template by which all business personnel facing customers should mimic. Without doubt, the next time I am in need of a storage unit, the 144th st location will be my go-to. read more

This place is ridiculous. First we try to get our unit and it has somebody else's stuff on there still... then they keep cutting my clock off and put theirs on. Office is supposed to be open but it always locked!!! read more

Customer service people were very helpful. They assisted and made sure every detail was taken care of.

I stored my belongings there from November2024 until just recently. The only complaint I had about the unit itself is that the door lock, on the door itself, never really worked right in the beginning, kept getting jammed. Eventually, they fixed it but it took me asking them a couple of different times and then I felt like I was inconveniencing THEM by making these requests. But the main reason I got my things out of there as soon as I possibly could was the PRICE. It was stable at $144/month (I had a 12' X 28' unit), then they raised it to $209 last year WITHOUT GIVING ME ADVANCE NOTICE. Just popped up on my bill like nothing. Then this month they were going to raise the price again to $279/month. I'd had enough so got my things out. Also, they were inflexible with the due date; refused to consider that my social security check only came on the third of each month. Anyway, NOT HAPPY. Would I recommend them? Absolutely not. read more

I've been using them for about three months. It's for sure way overpriced. I got a deal the first month but found it a little frustrating how they make you pay for the entire month, even if you plan on moving out the second day of the month. I can never find the dollies by my bay door; when I have, it's usually broken. It's fine for storage. I personally wouldn't use it again. I would try to find a smaller local company that will work with me than a giant one. read more

144th street location. Dirty. Unresponsive. Poor security. Gates often left open due to software issues. Unable to often gain access. The facility has not been cleaned in over a year. Dead bugs everywhere. Managers miss appointments to meet with tenants. Numerous price increases in the last 2 years. District managers do not respond in timely manner. Local mangers take days to respond. I am convinced every complaint results in a price increase. read more

Stay AWAY! Was lured in with great intro rate... its been 3 months and I yet to have a working access code. The local management is none existent and, when I did get ahold of them gave me a random code that worked for a few visits and then stopped... my code has never worked... and there is no-one to call or talk to to resolve it as local management will do nothing. Good luck getting in outside of business hours or getting ahold of live 24hr customer service. It is all automated system and local management says "They can't help with access code issues". There is a reason their intro rates are low... because they are horrible, inaccessible, and their access equipment is broken none-stop. Save yourself the headache and just find another alternative. read more

If a ZERO star was available, that would be worthy of this location. The property manager will not return calls; I have left several messages but NO one calls back. I left a message to request the lock that I left on my previous unit be cut off, but it wasn't completed and recently found out they are still charging me for a unit I have not occupied for several months. I contacted their customer service team and was "promised" that the district manager would be in contact...still have not received a call back. They would not give me a phone number to call the DM or an email. This is a fraudulent company! I am filing a compliant with the BBB! read more

BUYERS BEWARE! This company is very shady. I arrived at one of their locations a couple weeks ago, looking to rent a large unit. There is an office, but zero on-site staff. That was red flag number one, but I was there, needed a unit that evening, and there was a phone number posted. I called, confirmed my location THREE TIMES, and paid for my unit....or so I thought. Nearly an hour later I received email notification that my unit had been reserved for the following evening at a location on the other side of this very large city. I called back, was spoken to very rudely, refused a refund, and hung up on. I haven't been able to reach a live person there since, but they're sending me emails about my next payment being due on a rental unit to which I've never been granted access! STEER CLEAR!!! read more

This used to be a nice place but it changed ownership and for the last couple years it has degraded dramatically. My unit was broken into twice within 4 months, management NEVER returns calls, the office is very rarely staffed, there are people dumpster diving and dumping here on multiple occasions, and security is obviously non-existent. I loved the location as it is nearby and super convenient but no thank you. read more

Needed a storage facility on a Sunday after packing up house and realizing more space would be needed. Contacted them in the morning and had a site a few hours later. The fast response and all electronic communication as well as access codes made for a quick move! read more

I do not recommend Public Storage, unless you can afford astronomical rate increases, handed out multiple times within one year. I regret ever storing my stuff here. The outrageous rate increases are forcing me to find different storage facilities. They brought me in with a decent rate, and within 2 months raised the price, and again 10 months later. I also added a small storage unit, and they did the same thing. Brought me in at an acceptable rate and within 2 months raised it 19%. I have nothing good to say about my experience with Public Storage. read more

Management is unreachable, equipment is broken. We got stuck into paying two additional months because management would not contact us about move out. We did business out of 4 units, but they refused to work with us on charges even though they were to blame. Do not recommend, we are moving business elsewhere. read more

It was a clean site and good size (10 x 15) for storage. Easy to check in and use the app. Billing issues are still being sorted out... they said it was $25 for the first month as a special, yet are charging me $55. Also you pay for a lock for $20, and very inconvenient to try to get that charge removed. The facility is nice and easy to use; the charging of things is a little dicey; you have to stay on top of it. read more

I am immediately moving my stuff out of this Public Storage location as soon as I can actually get back into my unit... The gate to get into the place is not even closed all the way, so that defeats the purpose of "gated access". I've been trying to get into my climate controlled unit for a MONTH now, and I go back at least once a week to check to see if it's been fixed. The key pad to enter the climate controlled units has said "system offline" for over a month, and the management has done nothing about it. I pay $60/month to store my items there, so it's frustrating that I'm paying to store my stuff and I can't even access it... I'm an out of state college student, so I was hoping this would be a good place to keep my extra items. I guess I was wrong, ugh! There is NEVER anyone actually at their office to help you if you have an issue, and calling "their number" is NO help. The owners of this property don't seem to care about the people that rent from them. I have never given a place one star before, but I am seriously so frustrated with this place... I would not recommend keeping your stuff here if you care about your items and want to be able to access them!! read more

I got there at 9:30 in the morning to move in. never got a unit number or access code. No one was in the office to help me out nor was someone answering the phone. I call about 30 time to costumer service and the site manger. the only helpful person was from customer service and he found that it was easier to just cancel my existing reservation and try again. so we did that. I got my access code around 11 and the access code didn't work, I was calling and no one was answering. I came back around 1 and tryed again. didnt work. I finally got a hold of someone and they fave me different codes and none worked. finally a manger from a different location had to come and help me because I was leaving town. I finally got everything in and I didn't leave until around 3:30. read more

This storage facility is not secure, their service leaves a lot to be desired. Our trailer was broken into just before Thanksgiving in 2022. The thieves cut through the fence right by our trailer and stole a lot of expensive equipment. It is the middle of January 2023 and the fence has still not been repaired. I've been assured several times that it is on an emergency work order. This means that every unit in that facility is at risk of getting broken into. At times, their main gate at the front does not close overnight. I would never recommend this place to anyone who cares about their belongings being safe. read more

I used Public Storage for two months while we moved. The man who set up my account was knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient. My unit was conveniently located within the facility. I appreciated my unit being clean and warm even on the below freezing days. It was easily accessible and secure. I had zero problems. I would definitely use their storage facility again read more

We are renting a parking space for our boat during the winter. The parking spots at the 144th location are not all labeled nor do they have painted parking lines. Backing a boat into our spot was very very tight due to the brick storage units in front of our spot. I do like the gated access/app and it's a competitive price. read more

I have had practically nothing but trouble here. I have two units at two Omaha locations. Both are recent corporate buyouts. Their app for touchless entry works about 50% of the time. One of my units had a door that would not stay up. The manager promised to have it fixed, but warned that there is only one authorized servicer, and he is based in Kansas City, so it could take a couple of weeks. After waiting two months, nothing was done. I had to switch units and pay for a bigger unit, so I could get one with a working door. As I mentioned, these were locations that were bought out, so they had to get painted to match PS orange colors. During this time, I could not access my units. I was told I would be notified before access would be limited, but this did not occur. I was told this was scheduled by the corporate office and that they had no control. Two months ago, during the peak of my business season, their entire access system went down for an hour, and there was NOBODY in the management office. Don't even try to get someone live on the phone. You won't. You HAVE to leave voicemail. This is always the case. Meanwhile, there are long lines at both entries. Today, I got a notice that rent is going up by 26%. I called to get clarification, and the agent read the contract, which stated they can raise rates. Of course I get that, but this was 26% increase after having the units for 5 months. 26% on an already $265 unit is insane. I was told, they can't do anything because it is a "corporate decision". To sum it up: 1. App doesn't work 2. Repairs don't get fixed 3. Corporate and local offices don't communicate 4. Promises to customers are not kept 5. Inability to reach people at local office in a timely manner 6. Dramatic Rate increases 7. You and the local office are completely at the mercy of corporate decisions. My advice, run from PS. They aren't the only storage game in town. read more

I (finally) have a finalized plan for moving . I called a bunch of times with questions, etc, changing plans, etc, etc and Kaitlin was always sooooo polite, kind and helpful!! When I came to look at the unit she made renting very smooth and easy. That day the wind was kicking our heads off, but she made a point to walk to the gate and make sure I got out ok!! No stars for this place! Terrible facility. We went to get some stuff out of our unit only to find we have been robbed. Management said we had vacated our unit, which is a total lie, and they had rented our unit to someone else. When I asked how that could have happened, they said someone had come in and simply stated they were vacating my unit. I asked where is a paper trial, signed part work, photo ID, no communication with me, no mail, no phone call, nothing. They said that would be normal, that's how they did it. Our unit has a different lock on it and they would not open it. I asked them to look at my file and see that I had always paid my bill and they said yes I always did, it was on automatic payment.....something is fishy here, either an inside job, or such lack security, no security anyone can come in and cut your lock, take your stuff and drive off, simply go in the office and say they vacated a unit and you don't know until you go to your unit and see you've been robbed or they've rented your unit to someone else they say and your out of luck. UNBELIEVABLE!!!!! This won't be the end of this for us, filing a police report and going from there. read more
