Unsanitary and disgusting/dangerous standards . I went into the restroom to wash my hands after dealing with moving boxes, dust, etc. and there was no hand soap. I went to the front desk to let them k is they were out of soap in the restroom. They told me they no longer put soap in the restroom because it gets stolen. WHAT??? In the RESTROOM? Do they even think that maybe they go through a lot of soap from people using the toilet and having dirty hands from moving? The liquid soap goes in a dispenser mounted to the wall and you need a code to access the bathroom so the idea of soap theft made no sense! I commented this and lest, and as I was leaving I could hear them mocking me. There are sooooo many other storage places in the area. Don't go here. read more

Murder of 2 tenants on site in 2020 by a homeless man, people LIVING in storage units and most recently a massive flood initiated by a fire which was set in one of the units ruining massive amounts of tenants belongings...my guess is caused by someone living in their unit, which I have seen first hand. I have held a unit since opening, given all the above (Google if you don't believe me) I asked for my recent rent increase to be reversed and all I got was a $30 credit. Wish I had pictures of the above but I do have a nice picture from the last time I entered my space. Here is the Key pad entry, when I reported this I was told, "you have entry, it still works" ?!? I just moved out of my Public Storage locker in Nashville, TN. Why? Because they raised my rent 200% over the 20 months of my stay there. While I expect inflation raises of 5-15% annually, Public Storage (PS) takes big advantage of the fact that you have already paid a lot of money, and spent a lot of time, moving-in, so they know they have you - they are the worst kind of bullies. I called, sent texts via their website, and spoke personally to the manager of my facility, and he related that this is standard practice at PS, and that many other renters there had also complained (in fact, one was on the speaker phone while I was leaving complaining about the same price increases). Management continues the practice, and I suppose it is their business model to rip off their customers, because they know they have your stuff, and many times the people have moved, are out of state, or otherwise unable to move their belongings in short order. It's a really poor model that abuses their customers, and I will never, ever work with them again. The PS management and ownership are really stupid people, because I would have stayed there for years if they hadn't ripped me off so badly. The greed they exhibit should be illegal, and I hope one day it is. All I can do is tell as many people as I can not to use them, so they too don't get taken advantage of like me. Image how bad the management and ownership is that they destroy their brand value like this. Really a shame, and the owners and management should really examine their moral and ethical boundaries, as well as their financial plan. Word is out on Public Storage, and it isn't good. Don't stay here with these thieves. read more

Update: Nothing brings out my inner Karen like Public Storage. Like Stan below, I have also had my rental rate increased. No budging from management; apparently I should be grateful as I'm getting the unit for a "steal" they explained. Public Storage, kindly stay mum on your virtues at this time given the machete incident of May 2020 (just google Tennessean Public Storage Machete for the story). Just be honest and tell me you're a greedy capitalist out to make a quick buck. As I mentioned, in my previous review, this place houses people in addition to things. Rent is simply too damn high in Nashville. On a positive note, I will say that I've grown to like the tenants; most are quite kind and tidy. read more

Just had the best experience today with the Public Storage staff: Amelia, Monica, John and Cherita. They were helpful and kind and supportive as I was discussing down-sizing my unit. I so appreciated their advice and humor! I do think that Public Storage (nationally) is greedy and raises rates as fast as it can once you have a unit. Seems counter-productive since I could have been a long-time customer, but the rising prices assure that I'll be working hard to empty my unit so as to avoid the increases. In the meantime, I love these great employees. Raises all around!!! read more

Where do I start? The eye rolls from management. Their lack of help. The fact that I thought I was getting a normal ground level unit. I've rented 5x5 units before on the ground and they're great and affordable. This, however, is 11ft off the fucking ground with an unstable ladder to get to the top. It's incredibly dangerous. I'm so lucky I didn't fall and I really thought I was going to. And when I went to the front office to address it with them they said that I shouldn't have booked that until then. BUT HOW WAS I SUPPOSED TO KNOW ITS UP A LADDER?!? It doesn't say that anywhere on the website!!!! I read the contract in depth too. Just don't rent here. read more

Expensive and closes extremely early with no access. The space also has extremely limited cart access, and I have had to carry by hand all of my items each time I have come. Very poor storage for way too much money. read more

Excellent, secure and unit and facility are in perfect condition. Terrific experience!

Brand new facility. Close to the Gulch. Spic and span clean. Very reasonable prices if you book online. Excellent ingress and egress using your phone to open the gate. Helpful staff. Plenty of carts for loading and unloading. Loading area close to elevators. Temperature controlled. All and all a fantastic value! I hate to admit this but I moved because the storage facility I was using across from my building in the Gulch is closing to make way for a new 28 story condo building. I wish I had moved sooner! I just rented a 5x10 space for $46/mo. I was paying 4 times more in my old space. Stupid me. But at least I'm saving huge money now. The prices of the spaces vary online depending on availability. The storage did not initially let me know that you cannot access your items outside of business hours. The price is a bit high for how tight the storage is. I would not have chosen the place if I could've viewed it first. read more

I want to start off first with how amazing and friendly the staff is. Monica, Donna, Josie. And the rest. Anytime I came into the office for assistance they were there to help. I am very unsure why this place has anything but 5 stars but I say the customer service is a big 5+. A few weeks ago, I received an email from Public Storage telling me that the rent for my unit will increase really soon. I was utterly appalled. I understand that Public Storage is trying to make money and Public Storage as landlord expect tenant or renter to pay rent on a timely manner. But on the other hand, look at the current situation. We're in the middle of a pandemic. Tennessee as a state is suffering both in economy sector and public health sector with approximately 1,400 fatalities. As a nation, we have lost at least 170,000 of our brothers and sisters. The US' GDP contracted for at least 30% during the second quarter of 2020 and unemployment rate nationwide has reached 10%. Is this the right time to increase the rent? Public Storage, do you have any shred of decency? Sure, it is totally legal for Public Storage to increase rent, but is it ethical, is it what decent human being do? Greed, that's the only word that can come up whenever I think about this matter. I am also very concern about people that work at Public Storage. I pray that their heart won't turn black by working for a company with an absent moral compass. Don't worry, Public Storage. Be cautious of the online info, I reserved a 5x5 unit only to arrive and be informed that the unit was accessible only by climbing a ladder, and the price advertised for the unit the night before I reserved would not be honored and would be 50% more per month. The staff was nice enough but they Made no effort to make it right. Felt like a bait & switch, not to mention the $1 first month is a joke because they charge you an "admin fee" for the rest of the months amount. read more

Meh. The 10x10 unit I reserved was nice and clean however it would be great to have 24 hr access to my belongings. Having a closing time of 6pm really conflicted with my work schedule when I can be in traffic for some unspecified amount of time. They should at least consider leaving the building open to 9pm. read more

Bad attitude reps. Super short hours open. They call police on anyone on property when it closes. Cool facility but wouldn't recommend.

We were needing to store our household goods for awhile and needed at least 2 of the largest 10x20 units, both climate controlled. Coming from Arizona, we needed to make sure that the units would be available upon the arrival of our Penske truck and PackRat pod, which required reservations. Since it took six weeks to pack everything instead of the 3 weeks we expected, our reservation ran out in 30 days. Lily, Amy, and Monica worked with us to ensure that we would have what we needed upon arrival. When we arrived, we added a third 10x20 unit and rented three adjacent units one floor up from the garage. Our reservation was for $108/month/unit; upon arrival, Lily suggested that I could reserve online to get the monthly rate to under $80/month/unit. Bonus! Plus we got the first month for $1 on each unit, which we were told is not the norm. The facility is new and our units had not been rented. The security of the facility and the great onsite staff gives us comfort that our household goods will be stored well until we construct our house. read more
