I guess that's a distraction technique. Do not rent from this company. If you're not familiar with the storage industry, they are not upstanding. Lacking in ethics!! Once you're in, they raise the rent and play their game!!! Let me reiterate, DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY!!! I learned that Carina doesn't do dishes, and her baby daddy doesn't pay child support and her mother does everything. she told me that she doesn't do dishes and her mom does everything including taking care of her child. She ask me if I'm Mexican, White or what. Well Carina I'm Mexican!

The response I got was that their cameras were "temporarily out of order" at the time the theft happened and all I got was an apology. I contacted upper management and they told me that there was nothing that could be done and that theft happens all the time. In conclusion, this facility has outdated security equipment that may or may not work. BEWARE!

Whoever's idea it was to close at 6PM and cut off the gate access is an idiot. What about the people who work from 9-5 and then need to move?! They're expected to do that in an hour? If I could leave 0 stars I would…read more Sometime around Thanksgiving our storage unit was broken into and approximately $13,000 of our property was stolen, that we know of. We were never notified about the theft, I found out because I just happened to go by there. They (Devon Self Storage) were aware of the theft because they called the police themselves. The thieves put their own lock on the unit so they could gain entrance at any time and they took their time because they had to remove some large items and put them back in to steal some of the equipment. We did file a police report with Seabrook and they told us this particular facility has been robbed 40 times in 4 months! By confirmation of Lisa and Blake, employees at the facility, they said the owner refused to send letters or notify any of the customers about the theft problems. They also admitted that the main gates have been "broken" for some time and left open at all hours. There are 8-10 cameras on site and by Lisa's admission only the two facing the office work.
