Customer service like chivalry is not dead. Moving is a hectic time. Public Storage has made the process less stressful. My husband and I decided we needed a place that held 2 "must-haves:" safety and service. We called every company within 5 miles of 85379, and the phone etiquette of Public Storage set the bar. The agent educated us of their online capabilities. The website would not only confirm the information they had provided, but there was a possibility of saving us money by booking online. Are you serious!? A business looking out for OUR bottom-line, and not gouging us for the nickels and dimes we work so hard? This was the first indication we had found a great company. Upon arrival, we walked into the end of what we only assume was a very intense situation. The assumed customer was apologizing for their actions and wishing the gentleman behind the counter a better day ahead. The two shared a fond farewell and it was on to the next customer (us). My husband believes ice is best broken with a humor-hammer, as such, he offered the gentleman behind the counter a moment to "de-escalate," and with a smile they replied in kind with humor; needing no time at all to assist us. Truly genuine service, begins and ends with the employment of great people. Jeff, the gentleman behind the counter, was as genuine as they come. He asked questions to confirm the reservation we booked online. He offered solutions to our concerns. Jeff even went above and beyond to ensure our access to the property was unhindered. He even educated us to opportunities we had not begun to concern ourselves with. This level of service not only met our service "must-have," it exceeded it. Combine this personal customer service with the options to self-service online and Public Storage has exceeded this millennial-couple's expectations. Public Storage is the bar by which we will judge all future experiences to. During our walk thru of the facility with Jeff, our safety "must-have" concerns were all addressed. The facility has limited hours of access to reduce off-hour activities. This means a Public Storage employee is always on-site during operating hours when customers are present. Public Storage has individual access codes to monitor which customers are entering the facility, and offers insurance for "acts of God" and burglary issues that are beyond either parties' control. Also, there are nearly 20-cameras monitoring and recording the activities of the premises at all-times. To say our safety "must-haves" were met is an understatement. It is nice to know that they even do lock checks. If Public Storage finds a unit with accessibility that should not, they reach out to the customer to advise of the security concern. This shows the commitment to safety and service. We feel confident Public Storage will keep our possessions safe and secure. This is a business designed with all corners covered, but forgot their management uses no corners. I must say that while they offer climatized storage, the unit I rented has never had the A/C working, also, the facility does not have courtesy carts or dollies so you must have your own means for carrying your belongings to and from the storage unit. Quite disappointing. As a mater of fact, I am early cancelling my contract and moving some place else. Don't fall for it. Check it out and verify if what they offer is there. read more

I rented a unit out at Public Storage at 2783 N John Young Parkway, Kissimmee, FL 34741. I wasn't able to make payments so of course they auctioned off my unit, which I get. But the fact is they never answer their phones or give a call back. At one point I was given the number to the district manager for that specific location and never received a call back from her either. They initially told me that I had 1 YEAR to retrieve my two boxes of belongings that was left behind from the person that bought my unit. Month 10 I called and talked to someone at that location and said that they still had my belongings. This is month 11 and since I was living in another state I wanted to know if someone else that I knew could come pick up my items. They said I had until 03/31/2025 to grab my items. Today 03/13/25, I was just told (after hours and hours of trying to get a hold of them) that they no longer have my things. She told me that they are only supposed to keep items for 30 days, not any longer. She then proceeded to tell me that this location was AUDITED and threw away at least 6 peoples belongings because they got in trouble. DO NOT go with this company. My two boxes included tons of photo albums, baby pictures, funny home made videos from VHS tapes, etc. Never to be seen again. Now I have nothing to show my future children what it was like when I grew up. read more

Very unreasonable folks. The driveways are terrible on extreme angles and very rough. They charged me for a whole month for needing 1 extra day to get into town from Michigan. The only time I heard from them was to tell me was late on my payment a day later for the next month. I explained my situation and all she said was you owe for the whole month. I rent all winter at a Public Storage facility to store motorcycles so I can ride in the winter. I will never rent from another Public Storage again. We reserved on line for a move in date of December 31st. We went out n that day to sign paperwork. They never told us we would have additional fees one day later or we would have paid that at the same time. 30 days later we get a emailing saying we owe 64 extra dollars. They said there was a 4 dollar balance due on January 1st and because it was not paid they charged a auction fee of 50 dollars plus late fees. We called the area manager to ask about getting fee waived and he never called us back. We called corporate and they gave us the area managers info. I explained I called and they said he is the only one who can credit it back. 3 months later and we have paid the fees and still no call back. Worst place I have ever seen. Very overpriced as well. They never mention on line the mandatory insurance that they charge. read more

I'll start by saying the customer service is very nice, there is elevator access for the second floor units, and the storage lockers are inside and climate controlled, all positives which has earned this facility 3 stars. However it is difficult to overlook the exterior doors which were either broken or just left open for 3 months which presents a security issue, the bathrooms which are only accessible during business hours, and the 2018 increase of $30 per month for their standard price increase. I've only been in the unit for four months - you'd think there would be a price lock for at least the first 12 months. Thankfully, I no longer need the storage unit at the end of this month because I would have been forced to look elsewhere. read more

Please, please, please do not rent from this place. The south facing doors have never operated since I moved in to my unit in October. The east facing doors have been broken for weeks. The contracts say we can access our units from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. This is not true. We are only allowed to access during business hours. I have been in contact with the supposed District Supervisor, whom continues to lie about when the issue will be resolved. This company is the most dishonest I have run into lately. First, I have to let you know that your website needs to be more specific, I reserved a unit at one of your other location, to find out that when I got there the unit was not A/C. At the last minute I had to look for another location. I was upset but when I got to this location Tommy took good care of us at the last minute. I just rented a large unit from Jeff. He was great, considerate, and asked questions to understand my need in a unit. They were one of two on the west said that had one (1) remaining 10 x 20 units. The other offered 1/2 off the first month and no application fee. Public Storage did not - but Public Storage is only 6 blocks from my existing home saving me that much cost with the moving company. Also, this unit is downstairs and Public Storage does have easy access for unloading large vans. 4 Stars because they don't prorate the last move-out month. Jeff told me about old policies and such, but I have leased large units before where I only paid on the last month for the number of days I used it. Not if I moved out on the 5th I still had to pay for the entire month. No button to push to hold the doors open when unloaded IMO is a drag, even though you can ask the manager to hold them open. Otherwise, this is a spectacular storage facility. Clean, accommodating, and the staff are down to earth friendly. read more
