This facility sent me a letter, dated 10/30/2025 and an email that they are renovating the property and my storage unit would be affected, and need to vacate or transfer to another unit by 11/30/2025. So, I called the facility and let them know that I would not be staying or transferring to another unit and that I would be, in fact, ending my rental and would be out by the end of the month. Estimating, that I would return to Orlando between November 15th and November 20th to vacate my unit. 4 days later... ( SpongeBob reference) I received a phone call about when I would be out of the unit apparently they had notes in the system because when the representative saw them she apologized and ended the call. I was out of my storage unit completely on November 19, 2025 at 19:20 hours. I took photos showing my unit, clean and empty. Let's see if there are any issues. Because this place is "sketchy as hell" let's see if they try to charge me despite my letter of them asking me to vacate by a said date, which I did. They force you to buy every month insurance- but as the roof leaked and ruined my belongs. I was informed I need to pay another month out also as well as move out of the whole place and they will not do anything to replace anything. But they want that rent for a month after your gone?? read more

I've had a 5x5 climate controlled storage unit with the Apopka location for a year now and just moved to a 10x15 climate controlled unit. It was very easy to do this all online and the move was flawless. The office staff was more than helpful and the place is clean ! Biggest fucking scam. Not only do I reserve a unit (I was moving from out of state) I called customer service and asked what I needed to do and would my unit be available, and they said yes. They told me to pay when I got there. I get there and my unit isn't available, now I am forced into one that is $40 more. Now I try to access my unit at 6:43pm (they are open until 9, or so they say) and the keypad doesn't work. I had to hop the fence to get to the keypad on the inside of the fence so I can get important documents I need when I should have had access. Zero assistance, zero customer service, I'm moving out as soon as I can afford to. What a joke. Wtf am I paying for? Never had an issue with any other storage space, but these are the most common in Florida. read more

I have moved from one Public Storage location in Downtown Apopka to this Apopka Public Storage location (near Walmart) after price increases. I am sooo glad I moved to this location, I have a storage garage unit 10x20 and it works perfect for me. Plus this location is not as sketchy as my last location (where I believe people were living in the units, as they walked in/out of the secured gate in pj's (or sometimes their underwear and a coat) with fast food almost every time I went there). Here I feel much safer, AND never have I seen a person who looked like they lived there. and it's clean. It's so pretty, in a country setting, I love the surrounding pine trees. The manager is wonderful and so sweet I am always happy if I need to work with her because she is such a delight. read more

Do not rent from this storage facility! I had a unit here for years. One of the gates almost never works and often the lights in the building will not turn on. I recently vacated due to a large rent increase to a much nicer modern facility that charges less and Public Storage still charged me for an entire month after vacating. read more

Pretty reasonable for a climate controlled storage unit. Your things are amidst others separated by fencing. In kind of like cages. I bought "S" hooks to hang up some of my things. Staff is friendly. Helpful. Great customer service! read more

Please READ Here's the SCAM.. reserve a unit online( reserved over 2 weeks ago BTW) and when you get to storage.. your reserved unit is not available, but we have one double the size double the CHARGE!!! Mgr on site useless, 800# useless, Customer Service, useless good luck trying to speak to a supervisor.. mind you I called this morning before I arrived with my moving company to CONFIRM at no time did she tell me unit was not available, mgr actually confirmed me.. The price is high and the quality is low . Lots of roaches and mice droppings all over our furniture and clothes . I was just thankful I didn't bring any rodents or bugs into my new house . The dividers are not sealed so just hope you get a unit next to a fairly clean person with no Food ! read more

they offer a "cheap" move in "deal", then in six months raise their rates they offer 4x4x4 "cage" then it actually measures 3x4x3.75 in looking inside they are RAKING in the dough and pay their managers SQUAT what a RIP OFF, but what are you going to do? Every other storage space does the same crap OH! "Secure" padlock for $30 that you can buy anywhere for less than $10 and you HAVE to buy theirs! Their BIG OFFER of first month's rent for $1 is very quickly collected in frivolous fees. No get me started........................forced insurance is another obnoxious rip-off.
