Kathryn was absolutely incredible! She immediately came to open up shop right after her district meeting, and has given nothing but positive energy. I am posting this for my sister in law because she doesn't use Yelp and people need to know! From my SIL and I quote #publicstorage is a huge sham. They KNOWINGLY rented me a unit SOLD as a 10x30 that was actually 10x18. And they won't do anything to help me. They had previous complaints about the unit being undersized and they STILL sell it as a 10x30. If you need a storage unit DO NOT choose Public Storage. I took it all the way to corporate and they still won't help. read more

Never in the office I waited 20 minutes door lock no one in the office, trashy way of doing business, only one person on the property and they are stretch thin, so they lose business for trying to be cheap with their employees. read more

Would not recommend. They will keep increasing your monthly rent, knowing once your storage unit is full, your less inclined to pack up and move. Don't believe me, google it and read the other reviews, its a well know tactic for public storage. The price now is almost double when I moved in 10 months ago. read more

this place is pretty awful, the pricing is crazy expensive but I guess that's in relation to the area. I was here for a couple of months and moving out was a nightmare. I never got my move out receipt even though I moved out two days before the first. They still tried billing me for the next month. The staff NEVER picks up the phone and they're never in the office, like ever. I tried stopping by 3 times within those two days to "fully vacate" my property, and by that, I mean, get the damn paperwork since I had already moved out and the office was always closed during business hours. Never use this location I rented a space with them for 18 months Rent was raised about 3 times within 18 months paid this company well over $6,000 to store my items I fell on hard times and is currently in the hospital I let the full management team know They sent my unit to auction I asked them to give me a little time TODAY to find someone to bring in a payment because they refuse to allow me to pay online. As my son was paying they sold my unit. They do not care about repour They have no compassion We just went thru a hurricane and I was hurt in said burnin hurricane THEY DIDNT CARE I gave them the last of everything I had and asked that they give me a few more hours to send someone with the rest. THEY DIDNT CARE! My family'all whole life was in my unit. I have personal effects within the unit (birth certificates, social security cards, etc) they told me that it belongs to the bidder now and they do not have to return it. Despite it stating on Storage Treasure's website ( the company that hosts their auctions) that personal effects MUST BE TURNED INTO THE FACILITY OFFICE. They do not care about people. The rent increases made no sense. They close at 6pm not 9pm (office and gate). They never answer the phone. My balance owed originally was $810.70 I paid $277.70 the remaining balance was $533 The bidder paid $860 I asked that they return my $277.70 and they refused saying it's went towards whats owed. However they got what's owed from the bidder. Over $30,000 worth of items I wholeheartedly feel the property manager wanted my unit for herself. 18 months over $6000 to them and they couldn't show me the slightest grace!? read more

The whole building shuts down at 6pm. I had unloaded everything out of vehicle in building and elevator denied my access right at 6pm I understand that the gate to get in should shut down at 6pm but if I'm inside building it should at least let me finish what I'm doing. read more

Very hard to contact the property manager or anyone that works at this location. No one ever seems to be in the office or answer the phone. I had to call the 1-800 number to sit on hold for about 45 minutes to speak to someone in customer service. Also, although we are paying for a climate controlled unit we came by during the summer and it was hot inside. I left a voicemail on the phone and when someone finally called back she stated that they do not control the temp. The storage rent has went up three times since we have been there, we started out paying $120, then it was $170, now we are paying $220. They also took away the carts that were available to help you take your items to and from your storage unit. read more

HORRIBLE!!!! BAIT AND SWITCH. I have been in this facility for 6 months on April 1st and they have increased my rental now a 3rd time. This is ridiculous. I know these reviews do not do anything BUT at least I can help by letting someone else know before they fall for it. absolutely disgust. When i first moved in my problem was no carts to get your items to your unit. After moving in i have just accepted it. My rent on the unit just jumped $25.00 a month, no email or communication. Just my billing shows next month how much it will be. I will be looking to move out of the storage unit unless they take care of this. The units are currently renting for a lot less than i am paying already. So if you have been there for a while you are treated different to people just moving in. read more

This location stay clear. Management said they can go up on your rent whenever they want. They don't give you notice either. This is just plain robbery!!!! Constantly having problems. One person says one thing and then there other person says something else, nobody is communicating and the customer pays the price of it all. I DONT RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION AT ALL. read more

Wish I could give them zero stars. People are crooks sold my unit with family pictures and passport still inside without proper notification. After 2020 service has been deplorable in the service industry. Answer machines tells you to be patient due to Covid but when it comes to your issues they don't care. I would give this place a negative five stars if I could. Buyer beware, they reversed my payments for my checking acct 3x in one month. The money was always there, I paid using my debit card instead/same checking acct. Then they disabled my payment method, notification, and took me off autopay. Originally, my storage was $176. Last month I paid $725 --for one month + they issued a lien (even though I paid the obscene amount in full). That can't be legal! Now they disabled all payment methods and are trying to take my stuff bc the manager there stole a bunch of my stuff from inside my unit. I have a paper trail of proof on this woman. I will be filing a lawsuit. So pathetic! read more

So my buddy just called me and let me know that his unit was apparently ransacked. Someone stole most of the contents of his unit. They came into his unit through the top. Why is this facility not open later than 6? I understood the 5pm during the city shot down but now??? Why is always dark in there? Movers and storage owners can't see their items...if you are in your unit rearranging things the lights go off and you can get hurt trying to go in front of a sensor to get the lights to turn back on. Why does the rent go up every 3 month at a rate of $25 or higher?!? I have had my unit for 13 months and this is the 3rd increase with the last one being $52. Why does the app not recognize which door you are in front off once you refresh? One must know that tenants will not move their items out so they will tolerate all this. Btw, the staff is nice but that's just not enough to keep one happily paying their bill read more

This public storage is a rip off. My home has flooded twice so I have used several pubic storage locations in the past but the one on Clay road at 99 is a rip-off. They raised my Storage fee 3 times in one year. I've never had any other location do that. Avoid this location if you can. read more

This is a great location, location wise. But management is awful. Signs on the gate say access is from 6am to 6pm but you cannot access your unit during those times. Management doesn't open the door to the facilities until they open the office, which is 0930. And there's not any way to contact anyone at the corporate office when the store doesn't/won't answer. Your only option is to wait and talk to the store. The worst experience ever. read more

All I can say to Kawika is just wait. The monthly rate you get is very fair at first (you do have to add in all the initial fees as Joel noted). But after that, they keep increasing the rate. Mine was increased 17% after 6 months, then another 21% after 9 more months. My monthly rate is now 45% higher than I was paying in April 2018 ... just last year!! They realize once people move all their stuff, they don't want to move it again (or don't have the means/truck) so they take advantage of you. I am heading over there today and if they go through with the July 2019 rate increase, I will be leaving. I am at the Grand Parkway location in Spring. read more

I had a great experience with Erabur when I checked in to my new storage unit. The location is conveniently located off the Grand Parkway/99. I was a customer of another nearby Public Storage location but was able to get a unit that was twice the size for less than I was paying earlier. This location requires that you sign out the carts from the main office to help with loading/unloading items...so it isn't as convenient as other locations that have carts available at all of the major lobbies. Basically this means that you only have cart access while the main office is open. Otherwise, I am pleased with my experience at the location thus far. read more

That first month special is how they reel you in. they dont tell you about the $60 you are about to pay in initial mandatory fees, or insurance you must purchase. you cant even access your unit after 9pm. also carts are kept in office or chained with locks when you walk in the first door. what exactly is the point of even having carts to move??? horrible place. never again. read more
