Not sure who the new owners are but the woman that runs this facility needs lessons in customer service. I have had a few issues with her but the most recent was Feb 2024. I had fraud on my bank account and my bank froze my account. They reopened a new account and wrote a letter to my creditors so that I would not be held accountable for late fees and such. I called A1 mini storage to advise of my issue and the gentleman that I spoke with advised to send a check when I got my new ones in and to send the letter as well. Which is what I did. The woman at the facility called me and asked about the payment and I advised that I had just sent it in along with the letter. I advised what the gentleman had said, she started raising her voice and advised this was not her problem, that I needed to pay the $25 late fee. I told her that in all my years I had never experienced the lack of customer service that I have from her. She just started yelling. I really think she has a mental problem because I didn't see a reason for her to carry on the way she was. She was screaming at me and I couldn't say a word so I hung up on her. The times before I just assumed she was having a bad day but this is not an excuse. Needless to say I paid the late fee and am NO longer a customer. I will never advise for anyone to rent from these folks and I hope that many more will go elsewhere. Too many rental facilities in the same area to be treated this way. I paid 20-30K to this facility over the years and she acted this way over $25. Good Riddance to A1 Mini Storage.

Climate control works and I never feel unsafe going here even at night knowing that I'm on camera and everything is gated. They have several different size units from ones you can fit RVs inside to the small ones with offices where you can run your small business they also have climate controlled and not climate controlled to meet your needs when I found them. They were the best price in the area and I randomly check to make sure that I'm not missing a deal somewhere else and they still continue to beat everyone in the area.

I returned a vehicle after putting a little over 6 gallons in it. It was after hours and I dropped…read morethe key off in the box. 2 days later, I get billed $56 additionally on top of my rental fee. I called this them and told them I am being overcharged and a lady picked up and told me I'd have to call uhaul's 800 number. Makes no sense to report it to uhaul when you are the one I am having the dispute with. I called uhaul. Uhaul is saying that storage 290 was claiming I returned the gas tank on 1/4 but received it almost full. That is literally impossible as I used 90 miles and the odometer shows that. But they're claiming I used that much gas. The uhual lady confirmed their vehicle is about 15 mpg; which adds up to exactly how much gas I put back in the vehicle. I told the lady, how can I use about 150 miles worth of gas in 90 miles? Even when I filled the tank, it wasn't even half way. The uhaul customer agent saw what I was saying made sense. Take a guess what uhaul did? You guessed it; they called 290 storage. The exact same thing I was trying to do in the 1st place. She got off the phone with storage 290 and said the lady kept saying she double checks everything. That doesn't answer the question as to how the odometer shows I used 90 miles but the gas their claiming was used is about 150 miles.So uhaul is now transferring this to their district manager to investigate. I will update my status. Long story short... don' use this place. They tried to overcharge me $56. I will report them to the BBB if I don't hear back soon. Update: Literally, 30 minutes after this review was posted, the owner emailed me and told me she would look into my concerns. About 15 minutes after I got that email, a district manager got a hold of me and did refund me the $56. In talking with him , he did admit that based on the miles I drove the needle shouldn't have moved more than 1/4. I am changing my rating from a 1 star to a 3 star. I can't give it higher than a 3 star based on what occurred but I will give credit to the owner. She was swift in responding and very professional to me and uhaul did correct the mistake.
