do not expect good service and there are no refundable junk fees. their kiosk is useless and blurry. They will ask for a property manager to verify ID but it will take 72 business hours so do not come here if you're in a hurry or need emergency storage. 933 Illinois Indianapolis Indiana has the absolute Worst customer service! She is incredibly rude and needs a job outside of customer service. this is 2nd time this girl has treated me like complete crap. After renting a unit that was advertised as being "1st Mo Free" and wasn't nor was it the size I asked for.. Iv'e been there over 2 months & have tried for 3 wks to contact the Prop. Mgr because the slider on the roll down door that keeps lock in place has a bolt missing. This makes it real hard to lock & compromises my security. The front gate needs an access code to enter, yet was left open to allow painters in & out a few days ago. It's funny how double standards work. They charge for insurance...there's a late fee, an administration fee, etc. But try and find help when u need it. They are not what they claim to be. No stars from me. read more

If you don't have interpersonal communication skills customer service is not for you. I needed storage close to home, and they had available units. Started paying $87 a month for a 10x10 and after 2 years of being there I just had enough of the rates raising almost every 3 months. Left paying $137 a month for a 10x10. Not to mention they kept putting "their" public storage stickers on my locks. They are not the property of Public Storage. Every time I'd go to check on my unit there would be 2 of their stickers on MY locks. Never understood why they kept doing it. Been different if I rented locks from them but I didn't. No person ever there to help if you needed assistance. You know someone is there when you see a car parked behind the building. (as you know they live on site) Also, they just recently painted the buildings and all the paint scrapings and trash they just used a blower, and it was inside my unit and all over my items in my unit. Have to say towards the end it's a horrible experience. Broken gate= raised the rate, added kiosk= raised the rate painted the buildings= raised the rates oh yeah, I finally got a new rope after 2 years. I left didn't get to see that rate raised because I decided to go elsewhere. But yeah, that's my experience after 2 years. Thanks for the convivence at the time. read more

I needed a storage unit to hold my belongings during a transitional period before moving to the New England area. Renting a storage unit with this company, at this location, was the least stressful part of my move! I initially was transferred to their national switchboard to make my reservation because I called the local number after hours. The agent was very helpful, and based on fact that I only needed a unit for less than 1 month, suggested I get one of the "first month free" units. She gave me a "total price" of around $20, and affirmed that's all I would pay if I only needed it for 1 month. Of course this wasn't the full amount at checkout, which ended up including things like: rental insurance, administrative fees, the required purchase of their lock (which is a very nice lock to keep), and taxes. That being said, I had a little price shock (paid around $80, including a wardrobe box I wanted) only because of what I was told on the phone. However, the on-site customer service was so great I still had an awesome experience and recommend this facility! Property manager, June, clearly described all the fees & also offered me a smaller unit which still qualified for their special. She was funny & kind, making the stress of moving a bit more lighthearted! This location does not offer 24 hr access (which I kinda like for security reasons), but at my request, June granted my family after hrs access for a few days to help with the initial unloading. I was out before the next month and wasn't charged anything else! If you need a month-to-month storage unit (for long or short term), I'd recommend this location. I have rented from this Public Storage location for four years on and off. I have had all sizes of units, moving things around as my needs changed. Smaller during the year, bigger with the girls home from college. Never a problem. Today, I finally closed out my 10x10 unit after all three of my daughters are either back in school or out on their own. The property is always clean, the units are nice, and the property is GATED. Never had a problem with leaking, or bugs. Property was even plowed last winter during snowstorms. Really a great place to store your things. Staff is nice, new mangement after the old couple retired. Today, Frank helped out. Nice guy, my checkout and closure were done quickly and professionally. Look there are lots of storage solutions, but PS has my money and my valuables every time. Quit reading and go rent a unit today. read more

Customer for almost 4 years. Prices have gone up every year. Spent thousands on this storage unit. I miss one month while out of town taking care of sick relatives and they remove my lock and lock me out of the unit - on the day that I paid $260 in late and current fees. You read that correctly, I wasn't locked out until I paid all the fees. Now I can't get back into my unit unless I pay another $30 for their lock. Absolutely done with this company. read more
