They left two college girls without movers and without a storage unit and were less than helpful with advice. Other than offering for them to move out a day later, but the girls lease was already up, and they had already turned all their stuff in. You can't just stay an extra day in an apartment for free, and it's Memorial Day weekend and it's not like they could go extend their lease. Didnt even offer to help in trying to find other movers or another storage unit. We are not from the area and this was just a really disappointing experience. we offered to help them load the truck ourselves and begged them to still move them because the lease was up and the girls HAD to move out. I am speechless at the lack of professionalism, and instead of offering guidance or another moving company number, they got upset and raised their voice at us instead like we were at fault. I understand things come up, but you could at least be a decent business person and try to offer solutions, especially for people who are out of town.

We hired Soft Touch Moving in June 2025 to pack, move, and store our belongings in their…read more"climate-controlled" facility for four months while our new home was being built. About 4 hours into the re-delivery of our belongings by their crew, we discovered that much of our furniture and personal property which had already brought into our new home appeared to be covered in mold. The contamination affected our brand-new home and required professional remediation. As a result, we were displaced and forced to live in a hotel for 50 nights while the issue was addressed. The owner, John Craft, acknowledged to us that our belongings had gotten wet and remained on their moving trucks for a period of time during the hot and humid month of June. Despite assurances from the company's insurance carrier, we have received very little communication or resolution. More than seven months later, we still do not have our belongings and have had to retain legal counsel to pursue claims against both Soft Touch Moving and the insurance company. This experience has been incredibly disruptive to our lives. Based on our experience, we would strongly caution others before trusting this company with their belongings.

And also too expensive, especially on stupid late fees that make no sense to continuously keep adding to the bill. Actually expecting you to pay it off completely, before you can recover anything. They don't tell you when your very personal things are up for auction til the last minute, actually expecting you to magically pull money out of your butt to save it before it gets sold. They all always seem to have nasty attitudes when discussing extensions for the unit, when you're low on cash. It's clearly been hard to maintain work with the virus going on, you would think they would at least lower the price. Make it just half off til the economy and things get better. So as for you won't potentially lose diplomas, multiple work uniforms, family heirlooms, pictures and even identity thieving information. I'm honestly completely devastated, to the point of extreme depression. As if times aren't hard or bad enough as it is, especially after losing family members. This was by far the worst thing that could happen. Literally 20 years and plus of unrecoverable or irreplaceable items lost. I will forever lastingly be affected by this for as long as I live, it is truly like losing all family members in 2020 and reopening the wounds from members prior to this. I officially have no more memorabilia of said past family members. I just wish that there was a way to possibly retrieve the all personal items, from the auction buyers. So you aren't at a complete lost. I seriously may need therapy for this,  being since it has made my anxiety and depression even worse than before, even after the virus started. There really should be a law that you can at least get that kind personal things back, especially since the buyers will technically have or get no value for it.
