I have been renting at this location for 7 years and Lisa is truly what makes the experience bearable. She is a consummate professional who handles every issue with grace, which stands in stark contrast to the company's shady business practices, specifically the price gouging and lack of interior security cameras. Serious Security Issues - Avoid This Location My cousin and five other tenants recently had their storage units broken into and looted at this facility. Shockingly, there are no security cameras, no temperature control, and poor accountability from management. It's very concerning that the thief seemed to know exactly what to target, suggesting a possible inside job or serious lack of oversight. If you're storing anything of value, I strongly urge you to look elsewhere. This place is an absolute nightmare! The lady the manager at this place. Is not very mentally stable. The reason why I say this is because it all started a month ago. Where the lady saw me, come in to the storage at 5:30 PM. And when she saw me, she said, you know, we close at 6 PM, and I said, okay, no problem. It went about my business, and I noticed that each time that I have gone up there. Probably once or twice a week. She always comes out of her office and sees what I'm doing so I don't mind this. But in may of this year, she called me, on my, home phone. To inform me that I was overpaying the account by a full month. I thanked her for it and she asked me if I would like for her to send me a check for it. And I thought at that time, no, because that'll cost too much. Yeah, resources. So I just asked her to let it stay, and we can utilize it forward. The next payment up the next month in that calendar year, when the next month came, the system that you guys use took out another payment from me. So I asked the lady if I could now get the refund because obviously the system is not going to stop taking a payment from me on each month, from its schedule. I was so very dismayed about this, so I asked for help from the lady and she was very snippy, and snie toward me, and even as we were looking at the account from public storage, I told her that my bank account reflects something different than what her notes were telling her. So she had me talk to customer service. Customer service did not resolve my situation. So I thought to be the bigger man and just go ahead and end the accounts and go somewhere else. But on a day that I came to resolve the situation, the lady I had not come into the office yet. And I had a doctor appointment to go to, in any case, I called later on to let her know to close the account. And that's all I said, now, today, I notice a bill from the storage when I tried to call them today. Uh bound the amount that they're billing me 4, the lady said that there was nothing that they could do for me. And hung up, I feel very unresolved and very mistreated. It's fine if they don't increase your rent for no reason at all. You sign a contract that hides rate increases in small print. This should be at the front of the sale prior to signing your contract. They raised my rate again! When I got my unit Dec 2019 the rent was $205. As of July 2024 it is $536. That's a 2.6x (160%) increase in a 4 1/2 year period. Of course they are advertising much lower rates for the same size unit but they won't give me those rates unless I move out and then move back in again. For the 5 years I have been with this exact location, everything is ok until someone decides to rob you My storage unit just got robbed yesterday(08/22/2020). They said it was just last night. Ok, you sure it was last night only? Cause there were at least 7 storage that got wrecked as well. Also they don't have any cameras besides the front cameras? Lock? No one told me I needed a lock. I was forced to buy a $24 lock that regularly costs $4 from Public Storage. And it's not just any lock. In fact you can't buy it from Home Depot. They've designed it so that you have to get it from Public Storage. There goes the $1 (first month) deal. I also was not informed that it was a locking door. I thought it was a roll-up door E-checkin? They make it sound easy. It isn't. I couldn't do e-check in for my unit and I was not able to drive up to the gate with a code. It wasn't easy at all. I had to go into the office and that took about 20 minutes of back and forth discussion. I also wasn't informed that I needed insurance and she pressured me to suddenly decide on the spot as if I could drop everything and read a pamphlet about the insurance? The customer service rep who works onsite called me about 6 times prior to my appointment making me feel like I was going to an interview. I even was running 10 minutes late and still got another call. Yet somehow didnt mention... 1. I need a lock. And that I can buy it on amazon. And that it's a special lock you can't get anywhere else. Although she told me to try Home Depot. Where I ended up wasting an hour looking for a lock with a car load full of stuff only to realize it's not sold anywhere. So I had to drive back to buy the lock. She was on her 30 minute break so then I had to drive to another Public Storage to get the lock. Nightmare! She also didn't tell us.... 2. The door frame MAY not fit a king bed (especially not a California king 3. **That the storage unit closes EARLY for Covid! It's not normal business hours. Somehow she failed to tell us the new business hours so we arrived to our unit with two cars of stuff only to discover the gate was locked. 4. She told me I could do E-check in and I couldn't. 5. She gave me no heads up about the insurance requirement The whole experience was extremely taxing. I cannot imagine what would have happened if I showed up with a moving company who charges by the hour. DO NOT RENT WITH PUBLIC STORAGE!!!!! I rented here for 1 year, I was a good tenant. I payed my rent, and didn't cause trouble. I moved out on March 3rd and was informed the company doesn't prorate. $388 for 3 days of storage. It is this companies policy to steal your money. If I could give less than 1 star I would. There is no good reason not to prorate. Additionally, the unit was not in great condition, the walls were bulging out and there are no lights inside. Way over priced for what they offer. read more

I rent at this storage and have been here for at least 3 years when I rented the storage it was 160 something dollars a month now it's up to what 230 something they keep raising the rent I was told Gates closed at 9:30 case I'll close at 9:30 they close at 6:00 I mean come on the manager lives right there on site what seems to be the problem with the gates going back to 9:30 because she doesn't want it that's bull people do work and don't get off till 6:00 7:00 you know they should still have time to go into their storage but no you got to take a day off from work to do it it seems like they're the one who's benefiting not us they keep raising the rent for no reason and we can't even get in our storage past 6:00 oh and Sunday it's 5:00. From securing a unit online, to having the keys ready upon my arrival, to the access of my unit. I also had to upgrade my unit at last minute and Claudia made that process super easy. I moved out the first day of February, and paid in full for February at the end of January. I was expecting to get at least 27 days of my rent back. I paid in good faith earlier than due, knowing I gave my notice, to avoid any negative credit reporting. When I asked for my money back I was told no, I asked why. The rep said it was in my contract I could not get prorated rent back. Keep in mind, I paid for the full month of February, moved out February 2nd, expecting to get a refund or else I would have waited and moved at the end of the month. I asked for a copy of this stipulated policy on the contract and the rep at the property could not locate it nor gave me my money back. Not only does the property have my unit, now vacant and PAID FOR they can RENT IT right away and get double the rent for this unit this month! read more

This review is based on the worst customer service experience we have received all throughout our month of storage. Every single person that my husband and I have dealt with (3 ladies and a man) are very unmotivated and clearly do not care about your service. Moving should be made easy and helping your customers by providing helpful information would have been great. The employees are constantly taking breaks and probably being on the clock as they take their time to return to the office. I've had about 3 trips where I have tried to return my keys. After we went in the office they advised my husband he needed to take off the lock before closing his account. As he returned within 5 minutes the woman had put a sign that she decided to take a 30 minute lunch knowing that he was going back to return the lock. I am very frustrated with this public storage due to the first time of trying to drop off our keys. The first incident was when we arrived and the woman saw us pull out of the storage and said immediately that they are closed shortly before 6. I definitely do not recommend this public storage even to my worst enemies. read more

The actual process of getting a unit here is very fast, and the staff is courteous and professional, quickly answering all questions and helping get you set up. However, note that they add a mandatory insurance fee, charge you $20 for the required tumbler lock even if you bring your own lock, and a $22 administrative fee for signup. In addition, they emblazon "$1 pays your first month's rent" on almost all locations, but once you actually sign up it's subject to certain units only, which nowhere do they say this on the signage. Units themselves are straightforward and nothing special. No temperature-control at this location. Only one security camera facing the driveway. Individual gate access codes. I was expecting more from Public Storage since their customer service and on-site staff are so nice and efficient. read more

I was waiting to be shown to the space i was getting to store my things. Waited over 20 mins while the lady took a payment. The system was slow in the end it worked. The lady told me that she had to lock up the office to take me to the location, but another person turned up and again she told me wait. By now i had already been here 20 mins. While taking that payment and person came in, same again was told i had to wait until she had taken that payment too. At this point am getting late to do other things that i have lined up for my day. Which has now put me behind by 30 mins. She was telling the person making the payment how shes been having problems all day, like come on seriously why can't she multi task? At this point am getting frustrated. But didn't show my frustration. Its been 45 mins now and we went to the place and came back, she said the place we saw is not available. So she now assigns me another. 10 mins later after paper work is done. I accept everything its now comes to 1 hour. Wow i can get a lot done in 1 hour. She didn't help with any waiting time discount. At least throw me something espically if i had to wait even though other people came after me, and i had to wait because she wanted to put them 1st. Not a happy customer at all. read more

Although I was told my storage unit would be a certain amount each month, every time I came in to pay my bill, it was always a different price. Every month. The price I paid never reflected on my receipt. I had my unit for a little over a year. I wen out of town for a few weeks, my bill was due on the 8th, I returned on the 11th just to be locked out of the facility and was told that they threw my stuff out. It really sucks because most of the items thrown out belonged to my daughter. Her crib, changing table, a ton of clothes, family pictures and other irreplaceable things. read more

My unit had rats living in it and when I tried to tell them of the problem they blamed it on other tenants keeping food in their units. But, why is that my problem? They moved me to another unit but, that unit eventually got rats also. I asked them about getting an exterminator but, the Manager there said the Regional Manager had to approve and she had not. 4 months later it is still a problem, no exterminator and to add insult to injury they raised the rent from $268 to $322. I filled a claim with the insurance company Public Storage sub-contracts with to replace a bed, some baby clothes and other items amounting to ~$3000. But, the insurance company said that they don't cover rodent issues. This place is really crooked and has been a nightmare of cleaning up rat feces and throwing away new items I was purchasing for my new home. Other tenants may who did not experience this may be in a more isolated area away from the rats but, there's no guarantee that they won't travel further into the units or where you will get placed if you want t a new unit. I plan on leaving by the end of the month and filling a claim with the Better Business Bureau. read more

Rip off!!! PublIc Storage in general is a fraud! We were out of the unit on the 5th of. the month thinking it is going to be pro- rated. Ut they ccharged us the whole month! They said it ia new policy that took effect on Aug 1, 2017. How convenient! Now they profited from us and then they will rent it out. To top this, the property is rat infested. We found rat dropping in our units. If you need to clear out - do it before end of the month!!! BIG TIME RIP OFF. read more

If you want to access your storage when manager is not around - good luck! You will get access denied at the gate most likely and your code needs to be reset each time. But if you plan to access only during business hours, this place is good. Zero customer service though - you will not get anyone to answer phones when manager is not at office. read more
