I wanted to review this place a 5 until I went in to pay my 2nd month bill. First off I want to say that Johnathan the manager is fantastic. He knows his stuff. We didn't have any questions after he explained everything to us. Johnathan did not make me feel like I had to buy the biggest unit but we did anyways. Now we have been there for almost 2 months now and went in when John was not there and had to deal with another man. Don't know his name (man with dreadlocks) is what I'll call him. I walked in and was completely ignored. He did not say a word to me nor even looked up. He was helping a gentleman and just walked out with him. I said well I guess I will come back later. He looked at me said "sorry" and kept walking. I was pretty upset. Came back next day, thank god my man Johnathan was there because I paid my bill within 2 mins got great service he did apologize for his employee and we hope this will get addressed. Wish I could have gave 5 stars . Ok got an Update!! Ran into some moving issues won't go into to much detail but my main man Johnathan worked with us and made our experience with renting storage a breeze! My rating went from a 4 to a 5! You get what you pay for. I got a great deal for a parking space for a large vehicle at 57 dollars for the 1st month and wasn't told that they were going to raise it immediately. It increased the following month to $87. I'm only staying the one month. I'm not going to pay more than what I can pay somewhere else. read more

Where do it start... Was told the complex was fully monitored by cameras and had a code required gate. I have seen only one small camera for the 150 or so feet of parking storage on the (P) parking side. The code required gate stays open for long periods of time. The spots arent marked well, and someone was in my spot when it tried to park my camper. I was told vehicles had to be in operational condition yet there are many crashed cars and vehicles with flats tires that havent moved in ages. Maneuvering a 30ft camper in this complex isn't the easiest thing plus the trees are so overgrown I have to drive through low hanging and overgrown branches to get to my spot. The workers arent helpful at all and the manager doesn't return calls promptly. When I spoke to the manager I was told she was trying to resolve the issues yet a week later still nothing has changed. I am very dissapointed with the amount I have paid for a parking spot when the location doesnt live up to what is promised in the contract. Also I have been unable to find any contact info for corporate or any higher authority to have the issues resolved. Poor customer service and poor quality facilities!! read more

There was water in my unit, leaking down the wall and a bird nest. I went into the office to inform them about that as well as inform them about the multiple screws that were strewn around the front of my unit (they promised me they would pay for damage to my car tires if needed). I was told maintenance would come seal the wall so there wouldn't be leaks or that my unit would be moved and they would sweep up the screws. I never heard back so I called in and the woman said that she could see where I had reported the problems and she will personally call to see what would be done to remedy the problem ei. repair, move units, or refund. Once again I have yet to hear back. I had to move my belongings to another storage facility (much better kept) so they wouldn't get water damage. They were really nice when I rented the unit but once they had my money they no longer cared about my belongings or my happiness. Definitely would not rent from Public Storage again. read more

This place does not operate well at all. It seems the staff has no clue of anything. It started with I reserving a 10x20 unit online, I received a confirmation number and after I arrived to sign paperwork, pay and store items. The woman stated there was not an reservation although I had the confirmation # and verified it with my smart phone to her. She played around with the computer maybe another five minutes and then finally states she found it and mumbled some excuse why she couldn't find it. Then she requests a total different amount than what was quoted online, again I had to show her with my phone what the quoted amount is. She still attempted to challenge it, however I urged her to honor what was quoted, she did. After this I thought it should be fine from there. Then I start getting calls from some woman stating I owed ten dollars for the next month, I ask for what as my second month was free as part of the promotion. She stated she says that, but I owe ten dollars. Again, I ask for what? Her response again was, I don't know but you owe it. I refused to pay it, told her I wanted a call from the manager in regards to this. I had a feeling this woman would not say anything to the manager so I called back and left a message asking for the manager to call me. To this day I have not heard from he or her. This was a minor concern with me as I am too busy to deal with games, so I let it go for the time being. Then at the first of this month I receive a call from their office again stating I owed for December and that it is late because it wasn't paid on the first. I agreed that I owe for December, however I didn't move into the unit until October 14, 2017 so I assumed the due date would be due on that date since I paid for a full month and their other BS charges at that time. this was a different woman that called this time and she informs me that they don't prorate and the bill is due on the first. I advised her they should make it clear to their customers that they are doing that. Why would anyone in their right mind pay a full month foe a half month of rental. I asked why they don't prorate, again I get the " I don't know" reply. I am still using their unit as I am not moving out of it this time of year so I have paid the bill. SO.... BEWARE OF THIS AND THEIR TACTICS. MAKE SURE THAT IF YOU DO USE THEM THAT EVERYTHING IS SPELLED OUT CLEARLY. I WOULD ADVISE YOU TO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM AT ALL AND FIND ANOTHER REPUTABLE STORAGE FACILITY. THEY DONT CALL YOU UNLESS IT IS FOR A FEE, BAIT AND SWITCH TACTICS, CALCULATED "BILLING ERRORS", AND POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. read more

The management at this facility is appalling. As a small business owner struggling to make things work, I've paid my storage fees every 3 months in full for a year. In that time, the 22nd was always the pay date to avoid auction. This month it was advanced without warning by 27 days: At that time I received a 5 day notice, but the unit was sold in 3 days. Family heirlooms, irreplaceable Christmas ornaments, decor and objects from my travels all over the world, books, paintings, furniture..... all gone. By accepting payment on the 22nd every 3rd month, they set a precedent for accepting payments on that timeline and I had no reason to think this time would be any different. I plan to bring legal action and seek remedies for the gross mismanagement of my accounts, including the misrepresentation of terms, non-communicated increases in rent, and wanton disregard for established billing standards and precedent, giving 5 days notice on a sale planned 3 days from the notice. You've taken everything from me. read more

I reserved a 10X20 unit for what was published as $102/month with $20.00 the first month ($1 rent, $19 administration fee). When I got there to finish the rental, the first months payment was $56.00 and the monthly fee was $127/month. When I asked what the additional $36.00 was for, I was told it was for insurance to cover my belongings and the lock and other fees and taxes. The lady at the desk said when they call after the online reservation is made, it is their practice that they do not disclose these other fees and taxes to the caller. I also advised her that my current homeowners insurance (as most policies do) extends to the contents of an off site storage unit, to which she advised I would have to pay for the insurance the first month, but if I brought in proof of insurance, the fee would be waived going forward (which I highly doubt that they would honor at this point). I told her that I was quoted the $102/mo rate and she advised that there was nothing she could do and that they would have to contact the district manager. She got back 2 days later and advised that the district manager said there was "absolutely nothing" they could do about the monthly rental rate. I advised her that I no longer wanted the storage unit and had found a better place (although more expensive) and would no longer require the services of Public Storage. I do not mind paying more for something when I have a perceived value. When a company is soooooo shady that it will not honor a quoted rate then bait and switch to not only get higher rent but to charge 280% the quoted "total cost to move in" - I say move on. I will NEVER do business with or advise anyone to do business with this company or the location at 4021 Marlane Dr Grove City, OH. Good luck! read more
