I've rented a storage space for a little over 2 years now. Previous ownership was great. New owner ship failed to contact me at all to tell me my storage unit was broken into and items were stolen. I found out 3 months after the fact. But of course they excepted my payment the last 3 months with no guilt at all. Apparently it was a inside job.

When certain things are said by the staff and are done, you have to wonder who is actually breaking into these units. I dont trust them, the girl was rude and lied to me multiple times so it is hard to trust her. The male manger appeared to be nice, but when a facility you are paying to keep your stuff safe, allows break ins and does nothing to improve the location then you have to look at the overall company and say - Cubesmart is at fault for these breakins. The units are in a dark inside a facility where the lights dont work at night, the main door to enter is broken and you keep getting excuses as to why its still not fixed. The main gate was broken into and they placed a concrete barrier on the broken fence and never fixed the fence. Was like that for over a year. DO NOT USE THEM! SERIOUSLY. I almost put my sisters ashes in there, but a friend was kind to take them home, so I can disperse her ashed properly. We moved her things in their during the Covid break out, I live out of town/country and most of it is now gone, all stolen. They would not contact the police to inform them of a break in at their facility of the damage they received. I called and while talking to them, I understood they did not cooperate with them as they would expect.

This is a wannabee national company buying locations around the country. They overpay for their real estate, and then immediately push tenants for aggressive and frequent rent increases. Figuratively speaking, they deserve to choke on their money. The local managers are compromised by their national headquarters. It's not worth it. This is another headache you don't need.

I reserved a 10' moving van for a few hours on a Sunday because I was getting a new bed. I needed the van to transport my old bed to a family member and my new-to-me sleep number bed from another family member to my place. A little while after I made my reservation online someone called and said my pick-up location needed to be changed but it was a short distance from the original one, so no biggie. Thanks for being so attentive. I arrived right on time and was able to park my car for the afternoon on the street for free. The gentleman that set me up with everything was nice and thorough, explaining all the ins and outs. They sell everything you would need to move inside their small retail shop. I grabbed two mattress sleeves for the beds, forgot them on the counter, and they were nice enough to refund me for them since I was already on the highway. I had absolutely no problem with the truck and checking it back in and getting a receipt was a breeze. For four hours, it was around $65, which I considered to be fair. Overall, I wouldn't have any hesitation to rent from here again.

The…read morestandard size of the boxes kept us from overfilling each box and possibly hurting our rapidly aging backs. The standard size made packing the moving van much more organized as well. Plus, you get a warm fuzzy feeling from not having to buy or collect cardboard boxes for weeks and then throw them in a dumpster when you finally unpack. Definitely check them out if you have a move coming up.
