This location was clean and there is a small waiting area. They seemed to have a lot of packing supplies if that's what you need. But, there are some things I didn't like that really factored into my perception of U-Haul hitch services. When booking an appointment online, many dates and time slots were listed as available. I searched my calendar, found one that worked for me and booked. I really really disliked that I had to pay in advance ($200) in order to book. I got a call a couple of days later letting me know that my scheduled time actually did not work because the hitch installer wouldn't be in. There were very few times for me to choose from. I wish the online scheduler had been better synced with the actual employee schedule. Once there, the install took about an hour and twenty minutes. I work from home and was hoping to use that time to work but they don't allow customers onto their wifi. I managed to get some different tasks done without a connection, but wish I had thought to ask in advance. Overall, I would come back if I need to but I'd set different expectations.

I called the uhaul office and after putting me on hold for ten minutes they told me that they had known about the broken door and rented me the van anyways (because fuck me, I guess). The couch I was purchasing on craigslist wouldn't rotate through the side door and wouldn't fit through the back with only one door functional, so I couldn't buy it, basically rented the van for nothing. Was this a typical experience? Probably not. Should I have been more careful checking everything before I left? Probably yes. But I wasted ~$50 plus gas renting a van for no reason, because of a problem the office knew about and didn't bother mentioning.

They charge only for what they move, so if you move your own things ahead of time or add more to your list (we did both of these things), you only pay for what work actually occurred. I used to move a lot for work and had company-paid "professional" movers that pale in comparison to these guys. I honestly can't imagine going with anyone else when moving.
