Last week I signed up online for a climate-controlled, main floor storage unit at a $92 monthly rate, only to be told this morning that it was for second floor only, and even so, that rate was no longer available. Then, they said my reservation was "cancelled" (not by me!), and only $158 units were available, in spite of the hard copy agreement I had in hand. In addition, I previously rented a unit 3 weeks ago and asked at that time if they ever had water problems, to be told "no". Today. a different "manager" said they did have problems, so they hired employees from other facilities help with 4-5 Shop-Vacs. In addition, their employee pointed out his efforts to chop out ice next to the door. I suspect they change their rates frequently depending on availability, even to the extent of illegally canceling my agreed upon terms. I felt it was very unethical, illegal and shocking that they'd be so devious. USE CAUTION WHEN DEALING WITH THESE PEOPLE! YOU CAN'T TRUST THEM! read more

I rented an outdoor space for my RV, I have been renting there for just a few months. Firstly, my spot was not plowed out for weeks. I was told the spot was ready for my vehicle show up to find nothing had been done. Very inconvenient. Secondly security is not good on the lot. There is a person sized gap in the fence and no cameras. Thirdly my catalytic converter was STOLEN long with other vehicles in the lot!! Fourthly they canceled my space without my permission. I had to spend an hour on the phone trying to fix. Lastly when I spoke to a person at the location they called me out on giving them a 1 star review on Google. Obviously based on the accumulated reviews here they are earning those rreviews.Rather then calling out your newer customers about their reviews you fix the issues that caused the reviews. I would be happy to leave a good one if I saw any reason. read more

By far the worst place in the world to rent a storage unit! They are only open during business hours when everyone in the world (that has a regular job is working) I have a full time job 8am-5pm and a part time job 6pm-10pm. So the only time I would be able to go in the gate to access my belongings would be 6am-8am when I'm getting ready for work and getting my daughter on the bus for school. Not convenient what so ever! Then because I switched bank accounts because of some identity fraud they wouldn't allow me to use my checking account on a new account or use my debit card to make payments so i was not convenient for me to come and make a payment during normal business hours because i was working they have now sold my unit for $130 even though i own $300 and now they're charging me $568 above and beyond what i owe this is absolutely ridiculous!!! Do not rent from public storage i repeat do not rent a unit from a public storage ever worst company to deal with and when my mother tried to make a payment for me while i was out of town they told her they couldn't accept the payment because she didn't have the last four numbers of my driver's license number this causing me to oh a lady on top of the auction fees and now i have to add on attorney fees because i'm assuming the company for this ridiculousness read more

Awful Experience. We rented a small storage space starting last month. They gave us a pricing quote when we arrived & we started to sign all the documents (there were so many we felt like we were buying a house). Then, they casually mentioned there was $9/month for insurance on the unit. It's not optional, it is required. Fine, but tell people up front...not after they already had been quoted a different price & were in the process of signing the documentation. We felt we had already spent a lot of time by then and completed our paperwork. All in all, our unit was about $100/month. Pretty outrageous for a small space. The next month, I get an email that says they are going to cut the locks and auction our space off THE NEXT DAY. What?!? I didn't even get a bill to pay! How was that going to happen? I also didn't get a phone call from one of their workers or an emailed bill. Come on, seriously? I went to the site to pay my bill and make sure they didn't sell my things that night. I explained that I hadn't received a bill & asked them to remove the $20 late fee because of this. She called her Manager, Dan. She explained that I was very upset & wanted the fee removed. She didn't explain WHY I was upset (not receiving a bill, almost having them sell my unit, etc). She then handed the phone to ME to explain the situation on my own. So I did. Dan was rude and reminded me that 'rent' was due on the 1st of the month each month. He talked to me like I was a college student late on rent. I completely understand paying your bill on time, but give me a bill to pay from then! I don't care if it's emailed, but I need something sent to me. He said he would waive the $20 late fee & my options were to pay at the store, on the website or sign up for auto bill pay. THEY DO NOT SEND OUT BILLS. I thanked him and got off the phone. She removed the $20. I told her that I could do auto-bill pay if that was an option. But then decided to pay online after considering that I didn't really trust the company based on my experiences thus far. She said that because I did not sign up for auto-bill pay that they couldn't waive the $20 afterall and would need me to pay it back! It was like a nightmare. He didn't say that signing up for bill pay was a contingency to waiving the fee. After arguing with me and telling me that I needed to read my paperwork, I told her I'd pay back the $20 fee and I wanted to end my lease for the coming month. It was so frustrating. She asked me if I was making the decision based on 'feelings' or other reasons. I told her both and that I would like to vacate the space next month. I asked her the last day I could move my things & she rudely stated 'Like I told you, March 6th is the last day'. She was obviously annoyed with me & definitely not helpful. We moved all of our items out as of today. I should say that Donette in the office was very pleasant and helpful. This place is not up front with their pricing, they don't send bills, and we experienced HORRIBLE customer service. Unless you want your storage space to be auctioned off with 1 days notice & want to pay a high rate for a freezing cold garage space...go somewhere else. This has been one of the worst experiences I've had with a business. Completely unprofessional and underhanded. DO NOT store your things here...go somewhere else. read more

This is the second time I've rented a storage unit from this location. I got there with very little time to spare and the manager (Nicole) was very helpful, showed me the unit, got the paperwork done quickly and efficiently. I wasn't aware of the insurance required or the lock -- I would like to have known that up front -- it wouldn't have made a difference but good to know when you're getting a price quote and the administrative fee. My move-in experience also was super smooth. All in all I was very happy with the service and with the storage unit itself. read more

I have rented here now on 2 different occasions, mainly because it was in close proximity to where I was staying. It's definitely gone down hill. It's damp, dirty and the property is not well maintained. I used to know the person who managed this location but she transferred and now someone else is running it. The second time now I moved my stuff in I came back wondered the entire building looking for a cart to push my stuff on since it's a way's into the building. I was told there's only one now in the office because people steal them. If I wanted one I would need to give my ID, fair enough but 1 cart? Come on, I am trying to finish moving today not next week. Then I paid cash for a lock only to look on my account and had been charged for it also out of my checking account. Not cool! Find a clean, not musty place to store your stuff.
