I have visited this small town location a handful of times to pay rent for a unit at another location. Their payment system, although doesn't accept a chip, accepts more than one payment option as well. The property has plenty of parking, is clean, and setup for social distancing (one customer at a time). They have plenty of supplies for packing needs as well. Elisha, Earnest, and past employees are hard working and sweet, and they try to understand my payment needs and help as best they can. just rented a unit less than six months ago and asked them if they were going to jack up my rate by 40 to 50% after a few months like all the other storage units and they said they would not.....well low and behold I get a letter in the mail today that my rent was increased by 40% don't fall for the low rates. DO NOT RENT HERE!!!! The entire "climate controlled" storage is infested with MOLD!!!! All of our items in two separate units within the same building are completely ruined and covered in mold. The smell is horrible!!! And there is apparently nothing they can do? No compensation for our items that were destroyed in their mold infested building?? Every single unit is infested, you can see the ceilings covered in mold!!!! $200 a month for a 10x10 and thousands of dollars worth of items are now destroyed. Ridiculous. Phones are not answered during business hours, you have to leave a message and you get called back more than an hour later. Had to resolve the issue ourselves. App reader does not work at access points 100% of the time. Not all motion lights work in facility making some hallways darker than others. Unit had cob webs upon move in. If I could give 0 stars I would. I've had storage for three months and each month I have had late fees and charged for insurance that I did not authorize as I carry my own. The store states they can't take payments or waive fees, I have to do that online or via phone. I call customer service EVERY MONTH and they say I have to go into the store. ABSOLUTE RUN AROUND! It takes several calls to customer service in order to get anyone that can help. I'm moving my items to another storage facility; I do not recommend Public Storage. read more

Not a fan, reserved move in for the 13th. Due to the INSANE inclement weather, couldn't move in until the 22nd, get to the facility after loading everything!!!!!!! And it's locked, contacted the hotline because it was after hours, the rep told me "just look for another unit with a tab (welcome pack) and let them know during business hours your new unit number." Called the next day to see why MY unit was locked, when I haven't even stepped foot on their property, the property manager preceded to tell me "there was a glitch, and it was rented to two tenant's" said I had to come in, sign a new lease etc. Advised via work hours not feasobale. She said "come on the weekend" mind you,MY TRUCKS PACKED AND LOADED WITH MY STORAGE SUPPLIES!!!!!!!!! CURRENTLY waiting for my refund. read more

Customer service is aggressive and unable/willing to assist failed automated payment process. Every suggestion offered was my responsibility and my action to overcome their inadequate process. I'm in MX, limited internet infrastructure. Previous automated payment process was successful for the previous 12 months. This month's failure was the direct result of my failure to reinstate/ authorize the previous automated process after another payment option was accepted last month. This alternative payment was realtime with a live PS agent. The late fee was nearly 50% of the monthly storage fee. Caution. The after sale service degrades quickly. read more

Firstly, as of the time of this writing. This place is only two years old. So everything is really nice and new. They also have newer latches on the doors that use cylinder locks instead of the disk padlocks. They're more secure. They sell the cylinder locks for the same price you would pay for one of a similar quality one elsewhere. So we just bought it there. We got three keys. The staff is very helpful and friendly. I was able to add some names to a list of people who are authorized to access my storage unit. So my boyfriend or parents need to pick up or drop off something and they have a key, but they forget my gate code, they can show some ID in the office and be let in. There are two gates on either side of the facility, which makes it easier to get in and out since the main entrance is on a Frontage road. There isn't 24-hour access sadly. Which is understandable since the surrounding area is mostly residential. The gates will stop letting people in at ... I believe 9AM at the time of this writing. That being said, the location is very conveniently placed right along the freeway. So I can grab my camping gear and immediately be on my way. read more

My rent was raised $25+ and I was never contacted regarding the change. I had spoke to a representative online and they were extremely rude and refused to send me to another representative. Public Storage in Georgetown, Texas was the perfect place for some of my belongings as I retired and transitioned from the Air Force. I rented from October 2015 until today (25 Jan 2016) and did not have any problems with the climate controlled, first-floor unit. The only suggestion I have for new users is to buy battery-powered lights, so you don't have to use your phone or a flashlight. I got a six-light set from Costco that worked very well. The lights stick to the wall and each has their own batteries. I left my set there, so you might want to ask for the one with lights. I worked with Elisha in October and Erika today at check-out. The check in process was easy and friendly staff (Elisha, Robin, and Dawn) helped me make a perfect size selection. Clean, well-kept, well-lit, and secure location. Even though climate controlled, indoor, new, and ground floor, it's cheaper than where I was renting! I hope the auto-payment works smoothly. Other than that unknown, it has been a great experience. You do have to buy their special lock for $20 (you own it and it only fits their units/design), and pay a one time admin fee of $25 at first rental as an FYI. read more

This is probably the best experience I've ever had renting storage space. I contacted Public Storage's main number, gave the person my requirements and they really worked to meet them. The call saved a lot of time. They set up my appointment for me at the storage location, and the on-site personnel were just as awesome. I got what I was looking for, at the price I was targeting, and exemplary customer service thru-out. All of the information I'd already provided over the phone (in the privacy of my home) was captured automatically without me having to fill out anything or recite the info to the on-site person out loud.
