I wanted to leave a review for an incident that occurred with one of the employees at this location. I was actually pumping gas at the gas station next door. My child and I just got back in the truck and I buckled her in. As I got in my truck and was pulling away from the pumps.. a WHITE JEEP Grand Cherokee was speeding through the drive and nearly hit us. As I came to a stop I rolled down my window to get a better view as to who was speeding through, and as I did that this person flick me off. Threw me the middle finger. I then noticed this jeep parked in front of this location and as I pass this location everyday I see the same jeep. I'd never recommend this location as I wouldn't want anyone I care about to deal with a person like that. Much more less take care of my things at a "safe place" storage read more

The storage space itself is fine. The customer service was good until my rate increased 43% after 4 months. I called and asked when they would tell me this and was told they sent a postcard. Who looks at a freaking postcard in the mail. I agreed to a smaller unit and received a rate of $63 which made me happy. Then, sure enough, 4 months later my rate was $97. WTH? I did not receive any type of introductory rate that was supposed to be for a limited time. There was no explanation for the increase in rate except for taking advantage of the situation and their customers. It is a pain in the neck to move stuff in and out of storage. Initially, I wrote a five-star review for Extra Space Storage, when I was moving in, early 2023. I'm now editing my review to 1 star. I moved out of my storage unit on December 20, 2023. When I was moving my things out, I came across rodent poop throughout the unit. The rodents had chewed up many sentimental items, such as keepsakes from my daughter's childhood. They chewed up her books, they chewed up my unopened, vintage Barbie dolls still in their original boxes, They chewed up clothes to make nests and they chewed open the bottom of a box spring to build their nests in. I immediately went looking for, Sergio, The man who works at the storage facility, daily, but he was nowhere to be found and the office was locked, during the middle of the business day. I left a note and slid it under the door asking him to please contact me about what happened. I wanted to discuss what happened as well as a possible monetary concession due to the damages. I never heard back from him so I emailed him (I wanted as much of this in writing). I again mentioned that I wanted to speak with him about the damages, from the rodents, to advise him I was leaving, inquiring whether I needed to leave the key for the lock they make you buy and for them not to auto draft me for a new month. The email I received back, from him, simply said they were confirming my move out date. None of the other points were responded to. This, on the heels of me having inadvertently left a glass aquarium lid on one of the carts. I was advised they would charge me $50 to dispose of it. When I received that message, I just about flipped my lid! I emailed Sergio back letting him know that if he didn't credit the $50 (which they did bill to my card on file), that I would be forced to take the audio recordings I had of conversations he and I had where he references my "sweet ass". Coincidentally enough, the next day I received a $50 credit to my card. Yes, Sergio was great, initially. He was charismatic, knowledgeable & helpful, but that quickly changed. I then made a point of avoiding the office & Sergio, like the plague. Oh, and they did auto draft me for the next month even though I specifically mentioned, in my email to him, the date I left and not to further auto draft me. I ended up calling Discover card and disputing the charge, which they credited for me. I then asked them to please make it so that they could not auto direct me any longer, which they did. I've rented storage units in multiple states across the country. I've rented units at old facilities and newer facilities, but I have never had any of my personal belongings damaged for any reason, let alone rodents. I initially chose this facility because it was not only convenient to my house, but it was a brand spanking new building and I would have never, ever thought there would have been rodents in it or I wouldn't have stored my belongings there! Just wanted to give feedback from my personal experience renting here. I would advise you not to rent from Extra Space Storage (I rented from the one in Leander, TX) if you care about the condition of the belongings you're leaving there. And just know that if anything does happen to your belongings, they will do nothing about it. You won't even receive an apology. Oh, and they require you carry insurance on their units. read more

Really fast an easy process to confirm a unit when we had a last minute change in moving plans. I booked online and immediately after received a call from the office. They were just double checking that I had everything needed to move my stuff in and while doing so they noticed that I missed out on a promotion opportunity. I was offered an in office promotion over the phone which was so sweet of them. The agent I spoke to was so personable and friendly. Within two months of my move in, they're suddenly increasing my rate by nearly 50% (from $107 to $160). They claim because you pay month to month, it's based on market value. What a rip off. I'll be moving out right away. read more

They offer a free month but after you pay all their fees and buying a lock plus there insurance that so call free month is only a few dollars less than their monthly rate. They charge a premium for their locks which you have to buy from them that I could purchase on Amazon for less. Or is it they have a master key for the locks so their employees can enter without the customer knowledge. I was told they do not like it when the customer uses a second lock that wasn't purchase from them. Their minimum insurance charge is $11.00 a month. Why so expensive insurance charges? We are only storing clothing. Nothing of value or anything that can cause harm or damage to the facilities. Plus you must give a 15 day notice when you no longer going to rent or they will charge you another month. read more

Brand new facility and was designed correctly with a covered entry with double wide sliding glass doors for ingress and egress. Access to individual floors only permissible to those with rented space on them and the lock system is much better than the "bring your own lock" method. Current facility manager, Sergio, was very friendly and made signing up very easy as well as answering my questions about their pest control services, cancelation/exit policy, logistics and access questions. read more
