Amazing customer service clean organized, you won't be disappointed dealing with Michelle in there she was

I recently got laid off. I called them in advance a week before my rent was due asking them if they can cut me some slack and let me move out within the week without having to pay the full month and they absolutely ignored me, telling me that they called upper management and they haven't gotten back to me. It is now 12 December 2025 and they are demanding the full months rent when I asked them if I could pay one week and then move out. Do not use this Public Storage because they get you in on a really good deal and then raise your rent every three months and I am in a 10 x 10 and I'm almost at $300 in one year and I started off at 170 so proceed at your own risk. Care if you leave in two months and they really don't care if you stay in four years all they care about is the money they get in their pocket and they don't help their customers when the customer reach out to ask for assistance like who expects to get laid off in December. read more

The location is easy to access and the facility feels safe and clean. I love the online rental process, it was simple and quick. When I arrived I was able to use the app to open the gate and my unit was ready and waiting for me. I walked into the office one time to buy a box and the staff was very helpful and friendly. I only stayed for two months because that's all I needed but I would use this location again if needed. I was very happy with the overall process. read more

I've been using this Public Storage facility for about 4 years now. I recently needed help transitioning into a smaller unit and Michelle was very helpful. She made the transition fast and easy. Everything is good, online signups. Make the whole process a breeze. The only problem is they make you buy a new lock which I have one already. And they make you go there to show them your lock and get refund. That's a hassle. And the office closed on Tues and Weds. On top of that they won't let me change the unit I want. I would give zero stars if possible. I reserved a unit, and when I came to move in the gate code did not work. Additionally, even though they said the office is open daily until 5:00PM PT, no one was there (even with a sign saying "we're open"). After leaving multiple voicemails, I finally received a call back saying the issue with the gate has been resolved. After coming back with my things in two for the second time (again with no employee present during "open hours"), I still could not get in. I ended up having to travel to two additional Public Storage locations across Dublin/Pleasanton to finally talk to a real person. Seriously the one of the worst customer service experiences that I've ever had in my life. DO NOT store your stuff here. read more

This location only has two push carts and 5 parking spaces. It's common to show up on a weekend and find all parking spaces full, so you have to wait just to park. The wait is made even longer by having only two push carts and everyone is waiting for them. They could easily add one or two more push carts and it would make it much faster and smoother, but they don't seem to care. Then to make it worse, they close at 6 pm now which means that those of us who work during the week can only go there on weekends, which has added to how busy it gets on weekends. They could at least offer a reduced rate for all the inconvenience, but they haven't offered anything. read more

One bullet point should be enough to do it: * I went looking for cost/space effective storage units; Public Storage hands down is the primary "go to" storage company. *The accessibility of this location is awesome: -Plenty of carts to load and unload items -From what I gathered, though booked full with storage units, the customer service personnel of Public Storage is wonderfully trained in matching the proper unit with the needs of the customer. -Huge elevators with multiple floors *The registration process is pretty quick, and should only total about 5 minutes. *HUGE KUDO to Chrisann, the representative that assisted me through the process. She was absolutely a doll, very informative, and simply engaging. What an asset she is I'm sure! *Special note, they even have a Public Storage hub with prompt and understanding representatives to assist with over the phone pre-visit planning, reservations, and troubleshooting. Wow, so glad I went with my second option, this Public Storage location, as I was almost closed into a deal by a neighboring business! This Public Storage location is safe with inside units. Upstairs and down, A PS employee lives on the location. Cheryl the office day manager is helpful no matter what your needs. She makes a point of knowing her unit clients, getting things fixed if needed and keeping the place clean. I have lengthy experience with another location, this one is trouble free. She explained the entire process to me very clearly and she made it so easy, smooth and even fun. She has a very likeable personality and she provides a very personal and excellent customer service. When she took me to my storage unit, I felt safe walking through the maze of doors because the place was clean, well maintained, and well lighted. Public Storage: After being a paying customer for over 2 years - never being late paying my bill - I picked up my belongings from my storage units (2 of them) on Tuesday, 31 July 2012 from the Public Storage located on 7420 San Ramon Rd., Dublin, CA 94568. I scheduled a pick-up on-line for 12:00 p.m. and arrived with a truck at 12:30 p.m. At 1:30 p.m., the clerk walked out of her office and begins hounding me about being out of the storage unit by 6:00 p.m. and wanted to know if either of the units was empty, yet. We had the small unit empty, but were still working on the larger unit. She walked upstairs to inspect the unit, came downstairs and condescendingly stated that I have to have everything out of the units, nothing in the hallways, nothing left in the unit. I replied that that was the plan. She proceeded to lock me inside the gate by cancelling my code at 2:00 p.m. in the afternoon! She proceeded to hound me while moving pieces of furniture. She came outside and started pointing at the trash (tape, packing wrap, etc.) on the ground and wanted me to pick it up while we were trying to load heavy furniture and every 30 minutes wanted to know if I was going to be vacated by 6:00 p.m. At 4:30 p.m., she threatened to lock me inside the parking lot if I wasn't vacated by 6:00 p.m. I pointed to the remaining furniture outside and stated that we were still working. She replied that there is no need to get nasty. I agreed and told her that is correct, there is no need to get nasty. I requested a business card for her boss and told her that I was going to contact him/her. She stated that she did not care. I told her that I know she doesn't care. With only 1 table left, the industrial elevator stopped working. She stated that we exceeded the weight limit and that I will be charged for repairing the elevator. The hired movers replied to her stating there is no posted weight limit in the elevator - I inspected the elevator, there is no posted weight limit. She contacted her boss, Mr. Venable, to see if I should be charged. This employee is appalling. I am writing this formal complaint - and posting it on the internet. I am verbally telling everyone that I know not to use public storage. For the record, I do need storage in the near future and I will never use Public Storage again. The days of threatening customers and treating them with disrespect and contempt are over. In retrospect, the short time I spent in California reminded me why I left California - there is no place in the United States for a business like this. read more
