Top of the Morning Future Public Storage customers, I've been staying in D'Ville now for about 17yrs and I rented a storage unit at this location on yesterday 08-16-2022=21....2+1= (3)!!! Sorry I'm somewhat of a number's guy and that's a very powerful number...The (Trinity) If You Know You Know So let's just say Mrs. V...(Vita) UNDERSTOOD the Assignment and her spirit/personality was pure!!! The facility is well kept as far as the property itself is concerned, the storage unit I rented out as well as the office area!!! It was fast affordable and really easy to do I did everything online. So all I had to do was follow the instructions through my email. When I got there the storage was cleaned out nothing on the ground nothing left in there. The only thing I don't care for is that you can't get in through the gate after a certain time I understand it's for security reasons but some people you know can't do things until certain time or something came up or you need to get something out of it so you'd have to wait until the gate hours open but other than that I think it's a good storage unit. read more

I recently rented out a storage unit at Public Storage on 8490 Duralee Lane in Douglasville and I was greeted by the kindest person ever. Ms. Vita made sure that I was well taking care of going above and beyond to make sure I was accommodated. The property on Duralee is a little tricky and my movers were worried they wouldn't be able to fit, but Ms Vita drove to the neighboring property to get the key to the side gate to ensure I would be able to store my belongings! She also truly has a gift to touch the hearts of people, while speaking some much needed life and encouragement into me too! She is truly a blessing and so helpful! read more

This has to do with the property on Highway 5 in Douglasville, Ga. Edit: Dec 2, 2017: just emptied the unit after a three year nightmare. I am stuck with a useless lock proprietary to their lockers and they want me to pay December in full. I have already escalated this with upper management. Needless to say: STAY AWAY FROM THIS PROPERTY!! Sept 2014: I had a unit here several years ago and that is the only reason I even thought to come back. On Sept 22, 2014 I arrived to get a unit as I was being relocated for work. To start I had to wait 30 minutes for the clerk to return. No sign in the door, but it was locked. I walk in to the office and the heat is on full blast, in September, In Georgia. I tell the sales associate exactly what I want. She launches into some rehearsed sales speech that includes questions about what I will be storing. I stop her and state again what I want, as I am on a time limit. We ride the cart out to a unit that is nothing like what I want, but she assures me will be perfect. On the ride back, the cart breaks down. Back in the office we do the paperwork and I get my access code. I try the code, which doesn't work. I inform the sales associate and she uses her master code to let me in, assuring me the code will work when I need to leave. After unloading into the unit which is proving to be too small, I try to leave only to learn my code still does not work. I press the call button and get no answer. I try calling the office and get no answer. I walk to the office to find the clerk chatting with a friend who had paid her a visit. I tell her I am trapped in the lot and only then does she come and let me out. Then the other day, I go to pay my bill online only to find my rent has jumped $15 with no warning. I contact customer service, only to be told that I should review what I am storing and "look for a better option". Needless to say I am not happy with Public Storage. Edit: Someone from Public Storage tried to call me to chat at 6:30 in the morning after I had worked a 13 hour shift. Needless to say, they are failing on all accounts. Welcome to the storage company where the rate Online isn't actually what they'll try and charge in the store, the $1 for first month is not actually true, and but first, spend the $25 in milage with the uhaul and an hour of your time since they don't tell you until you get there in person to "tell you the truth". I had planned on renting storage space in another location with another company. When it was closer to time, I called to check on things and learned that they were recommending a 10x30 instead of a 10x10 and it was going to cost me ore than twice as much. I learned that the reason for recommending the larger unit was because that's all they had left and they didn't want to lose the sale. Jasmine, at Public Storage, told me that it was doable to use a 10x10 but if I wanted to be cautious and rent a bigger space, since they had none available that size up, she'd call to see what best price she could get me at another location to better suit my needs. Jasmine was friendly and very personable and made me feel very comfortable with whatever she suggested because it made sense for my situation. She didn't try to talk me into anything. Just made recommendations based on the answers to her questions so she could know about my personal situation. That is the epitome of sales 101 and listening to the customer and responding to their needs. Kudos to Jasmine. And by the way: I have gotten follow up since I signed up with them and did before I went in. Out of the ones I called, Public Storage is the only one who showed interest after my first call of having me for a customer. read more
