We have been thanked by the manager for being such loyal customers. Today we went to the units to put stuff away and our locks were cut off and laying on the ground and their locks were on the doors. I have never been late on any payments or if I forgot to mail it I'd call the manager or she'd call me. I totally missed sending in our payments this time but I usually get a friendly reminder call because their computer program sends me late notices all the time due to their system not being able to process 2 months payments at a time and I've been told to ignore them by the manager. I am going to assume their is a new manager and possibly the friendly customer service, open communication may be lost as with so many businesses these days. You'd think if its a first offense after paying ahead a month for years you'd get a call before they just destroy your locks and forbid you access. I am so disappointed right now in their customer service at this time that I would certainly not recommend this location but hopefully things will change when they open on Monday.

Many texts and calls unanswered until I threatened to call the business bureau. They lost a box, damaged furniture (our Amish built cherry hutch was scratched as well as some chairs were scratched, an antique dresser ruined, crushed many other boxes) and then said since we have a $500 insurance deductible they're considering the matter closed. They did absolutely nothing!!! I'm sure they didn't even tried to look for the box.

In a desperate attempt to find another storage unit, I came across CubeSmart. I made a reservation over the phone as I drove over there and everything was ready for me by the time I pulled in. There was a great promo at the time that got me my first month free, and I felt my items would be safer as there is a security code and gate protecting everyone's storage unit and was very well lit. I only needed my reservation for 2 months, and on my final day I thought I had until end of day to clear out what I had left. Wellllll I was wrong and needed to be out a day sooner. I felt sick having to pay an entire extra month when it wasn't needed. One simple phone call to CubeSmart and I spoke to Brad - he said he would take care of it since I was planning to be out that day anyway. He honored his word and I am so happy!! It was completely my mistake and he didn't have to credit me back, but he did and I am thankful. Many places are a bit run down or operated by large corporate chains. My experience with the bigger chains is frequent and unpredictable rate increases. Then someone recommended Smart Storage which had just opened about a month ago. AMAZING! The place is brand new, really well designed, and I appreciate that access is NOT 24/7. Currently access is 6AM -11PM. I never loved the idea of people rooting around at all hours of the night. The units are immaculate and it appears that all of the infrastructure, cameras, and access doors are the latest tech. The best part of the entire experience is the owner Steve. This is a family owned and operated business. What a difference from dealing with an anonymous corporation. Steve helped me figure out the right storage solution for my needs and made the entire experience a joy. I look forward to coming here. For the record I am not being compensated in any way for this review. After 30 years of renting various units I will say this is the best I have come across. Check it out for yourself!

Please note we paid for additional insurance to cover up to $15,000 worth of damage. I spent weeks trying to get in touch with someone. Jovelyn who was barely responsive. The company would screen my calls. Then finally the GM, Scott, took over my case. The company admitted fault and took responsibility, then the company agreed to replace our furniture that was damaged/broken (I have proof) and then Mike (whom till this day refuses to return my calls) decided I had to file a claim through this CSI company that investigates claims. After waiting almost 2 weeks for Jovelyn to get me the information I needed to file, I complete one. Then I contacted Moving Ahead Services MULTIPLE times because no one from this CSI claims ever reached out to me or answered my emails/calls after I filed. It's now August 22nd, I moved June 13, and I'm still sleeping on a bed on the floor because my bed frame was snapped in half. I waited to write a review because I wanted to give them the opportunity to rectify the situation. God speed if you choose this company.

Do NOT recommend use of this place…read more We reserved a 7x10 unit online, but when we showed up, the unit the manager showed us was only 7x7.5. When we initially said, "this looks smaller than what we ordered", she tried to gaslight us saying, "no, it's 7x10". However, it was only when we showed her that the measurements on the unit's label that said 7x7.5, she started saying that it was our fault for not checking the unit in-person before reserving. And somehow it was our fault for not knowing their website was broken. Our primary account holder (the person who made the reservation), attempted to negotiate with the manager, citing his online reservation. Only to be led to a 10x10 unit with an additional charge. This bait and switch was not appreciated along with the condescending and patronizing tone of the worker. The three other people who were helping with the move-in were yelled out of the front area because they were not the primary account holder and "I don't want to deal with them" (we were standing quietly). While this was happening, another customer was in the same room. He was not asked to leave at any point. Overall, there was a lot of shady behavior and red flags. Our unit was silently downgraded with no notice to us or pay decrease, we were gaslit into thinking the unit was the size we wanted, our primary account holder was arbitrarily isolated when discussing options for getting the size we needed, customers were strongly pushed into writing good reviews, and the experience was overall much worse than when I used iStorage the previous year. We would not suggest trusting this location with your business or storage items.
