I've been renting for 5 years now. If I could 'Id give the staff 5 stars. The location was perfect for us. BUT, EVERY spring , the rent would increase- this year it was going up from $200 to $221 . That's a little more than 10% ! Lasy year, 2020, during the pandemic, while businesses were helping people survive , foreclosures put on hold, rent for an apartment lowered or waived. What did Public Storage do? RAISE their rates on April 1 st. Shows money is all they care about. Couldn't wait to leave. Shame on them !!!!! read more

They raise your rent 50% shortly after you move in-- Total bait and switch-- they lure you in with a low rate and then raise it 50% or more after you spent all you time and energy moving your stuff in-- that is exactly what they did to me -- FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE to put your stuff-- this place is bad news-- read more

My review is for Public Storage as a company. The customer service at this location has been fine. Since I first had a unit in 2013, the rate increased 4 times. My unit was also broken into. Finally, I received notification that they are doing renovation and I needed to vacate my unit. I received the notice the first week of February and had until the end of the month. Not only is it inconvenient to have to remove everything, but they chose the dead of winter! Furthermore, when I did go to the unit to remove my items, all the snow from the winter was piled up at the door and there was no place to park! Once they knew everyone from this building needed to leave in February, it would have been nice to make it more convenient. I would not recommend Public Storage unless you are desperate. read more

I just started renting storage at PS. I initially rented out one unit at another PS, however, it did not fit all the stuff I needed to store, and they did not have any more units of the size I needed. This location seems ok, however- what's up with needing to enter the gate code when leaving?? I understand when entering, but why in the world do I need to enter the code in order to leave? The first PS location did not need that. It is so inconvenient, and on top of it- the gates close in literally 5 seconds. I had a big U-Haul truck, and by the time I climbed back into the driver's seat- the gate was closing!! read more

Not so good. Let me count the ways: - Continuous, exorbitant rent increases. - Overpriced. - EXTREMELY damp, humid interiors. No ventilation. My stuff inside got mold, mildew and rusted so bad it was ruined and had to be thrown out. Even the brand new Master Locks became rusted. - Gets dirty inside lockers, not sure where dirt is coming from. - Break-ins and thefts there. No security cameras, alarms, systems, etc. Flimsy, deteriorated plywood barriers supposedly blocking access from outside. Chain-link fence only on south side. - Leaking roofs; I was given plastic to cover my stuff, cheaper than fixing the roof. - Broken, warped boards to walkways to interior lockers with nails sticking out. I almost tripped over them numerous times. - Metal door handles warped, difficult to open and close. - Took away dumpster that had been available to tenants, now locked up behind a chain-link cage. Bottom line: NOT GOOD. Other places a couple blocks away, temp/humidity controlled AND secure. If you stuff is worth keeping, it's worth a few extra bucks in storage. read more

They have repeatedly asked me to write a review, so here goes. I set up an account online as a favor to help out my mom and grandma. When we went in to move in the items, I made it clear that this account was to be for my mom and grandma, and not me. Yet, since March, I have repeatedly been called regarding the unit, and every time I ask to have my contact info removed from the account, and every month I get another call. It is July and I am still getting calls from them. The unit itself seems to be fine so far, but wow, is the staff running it incompetent. read more

I received notice August 24, 2015 informing a lien had been placed on my storage unit. Therefore, I called for an explanation, and was told I owed $12.20. A lien for twelve dollars and 20 cents?? Really? I have been a customer at this Public Storage location, since November 2010 (58 months), and have rented this same unit for the entire time.....paying $6,368.41. Likewise payments are set up automatically through my bank account. Nevertheless, I was told the most recent payment was late, and the girl I spoke with speculated it was due to a bank error, so they placed a lien on the unit. Incredible?! Thus I want to inform any prospective customer of this arbitrary business practice, and strongly urge anyone considering this franchise to keep away. Moreover, this property flooded in 2011, which destroyed much of the contents. Imagine pouring water out of tubular steel from exercise equipment, rusted barbell plates, mildewed rugs and water soaked boxes. And if that wasn't enough, I have seen my monthly rent increase 72% in less than five years. Therefore, I recommend avoiding their trap, and will tell anyone considering this property that they should look for a space that can ensure the contents will remain dry. First storage unit I have had where no dumpster or refuse area was provided. For the rent they charge, that request is not at all out of line. Speaking of rent, seems like the rent is incrementally increasing every other month. Now, for a non- climate controlled unit, the rent is way out of line compared to the competitors. Been there about 7 years, rent ALWAYS on time. But, I think it's time to vacate and move on .... read more

I'm sorry but I have to disagree with some of these reviews. My experience was very good. I was at this location for 5 years and I have to say it was always so clean and well kept. My things in storage were in perfect condition as they were 5 years ago. Not one bug to be found, only a little dust on the boxes. Went there less than a hand full of times in all those years to check on things. Jamal keeps the place looking nice and clean. I think he does a great job and would definitely recommend this storage place to anyone looking to store their things. I didn't give it 5 stars because the price starts out good and goes up every year, which it becomes pricey. But I do give the place 4 stars and definitely recommend. read more

I signed a lease today. The storage yard seems very clean, safe, and well maintained. I found a 5x5 unit for a $30/mo online special which was just what I wanted. I was disappointed to learn there was going to be an extra $9/mo added for insurance each month. It doesn't sound bad but that's a 30% increase each month on stuff I didn't even want insured. They told me it was mandatory & had to be paid, but if i found my renters insurance included it they'd remove it. Luckily I found my renters policy covers off site storage so I brought in my policy info. They didn't even want a copy of it, he just had me sign the same form I signed earlier beside a hand-written line labeled "decline". When I asked if I could've declined it all along, he really didn't have an answer, something about if I'd KNOWN my policy covered it then I could've declined. I feel this was sneaky & misleading considering I didn't even have to prove I had a policy. They told me I'd be credited the insurance and it won't be due again, so assuming I don't have to follow up on this, things should be ok. Wanted to let people know to learn about your insurance before signing anything. Everything else about the place seems alright. read more

I've been using this storage location for the last 2 years. The units that I rented (big or small) have been clean. I recently downsized in order to save money. In the past, I have received price increases at least twice. I'm hoping this new price stays as is for a while. The employees are courteous and helpful. Whether I need a new lock, new light bulb, a credit for payment taken twice, or even when switching units, they have not failed to comply. read more
