Balsamic glazed Brussels sprouts (no bacon), Pub 49 punch, & French onion soup
Laura E.

Solid pub with something for everyone. We (2 adults and one kiddo) dined in on Sat 3/7/2026 and were pleasantly surprised the wait wasn't too long ~6:30 pm. Both adults had drinks - Pub 42 rum punch and (I think?) a beer. I love fruity drinks but Pub 42's version was too heavy on the alcohol. I'd ask for less alcohol next time. We ordered French onion soup, Brussels sprouts (no bacon), Rachel, & kids grilled cheese. Both the Brussels sprouts and French onion soup were tasty! The restaurant got busier as we were there and our server worked very hard to get our orders with minimal wait. Would come back to try other items.

Stopped in for lunch and were able to get a seat quickly. Service was fast and knowledgeable. Basic sports bar setting on the side we were sitting in. Lots of televisions with a variety of sports on. Food was good, we had popovers to share, tortilla soup and the grilled cheese sandwich with fires. All were tasty. I'll try the turkey wild rice soup next time.

Chicken tender basket

I came here for happy hour and I had a great experience! Our server was great, I wish I caught his name. He was very attentive and made sure our drinks were always full. We got our food fast even though it was meat raffle night and it was pretty busy. I got the chicken tender basket appetizer and I was very impressed. The portions were big and their pub 42 sauce is yummy. I'll definitely be back!

Pub 42 was an amazing dinner spot tonight! The millionaire's BLT is outta this world - with over 5 layers of bacon The wild rice soup is also very tasty! Served tonight was Zach and he was very friendly and very quick. Vibes are on point for your classic dive bar. Always a good choice

Millionaire BLT

This is a great spot for food or drinks or both! They have a large food menu with vegetarian and gluten free options. Some good appetizers are cheese curds or onion rings. The sandwich I always get is the BLT it has millionaire bacon on it and it's incredible! You have options when it comes to drinks a cocktail, tap beer or canned drink. Service is good and there is a bar part and restaurant so if your looking for a quiet area the restaurant is nice if you want noise and energy sit in the bar.

Mix and match half reuben and bowl of chicken tortilla soup
Stephanie P.

This was our first visit. Would give 3.5 if I could. We started with the Buffalo chicken flatbread and the nachos. Flatbread was delicious. Crispy and nice Buffalo flavor. Nachos were average. Good nachos are hard to find I swear. These were pretty dry, not enough cheese. We all then had the mix and match. We had the BLT, reuben and chicken tortilla soup. Chicken tortilla soup was ok, needed some more seasoning was super creamy though. Reuben was good. BLT was interesting. The bacon was a little sweet and very peppery. Overwhelming peppery unfortunately. Hard to eat even a half sandwich. All apps are $2 off during happy hour which is nice. I side bar area is very nice. Lots of TV for football. Olyvia was our server, she was great, very nice.

A typical style pub, the food is pretty good a bit expensive like everywhere, but always delivers a solid meal. I'd recommend it.

Highly encouraged to try the cheese curds and they were OUTSTANDING! Loved the cheesy gooeyness inside and the fried batter was crunchy and amazing! Highly recommend! The burger also tasted great -- mix of sweet, salty, savory. The bacon is great! Onions are great! Well done! And those truffle fries are binge-worthy! Did not leave any behind! The wings were seasoned and cooked well. Very juicy! The habanero dry rub wasn't as spicy as I anticipated, which made eating them extremely enjoyable! I like the kick of the spice but not overpowering. Well done! Will definitely tell my friends and be back!

Fortunately for us, MN decided to have a 90-degree day in October, so we were able to sit outside. The outside patio was nice, but the vibe was definitely a lot calmer than inside (if you want the full game-day experience you should try to sit inside). I ordered the Bloody Mary of the month, "Road Trip," my son had the kids' pancakes with bacon, and my friend ordered a salad. The Bloody Mary of the month was definitely a site to see, it had a slice of pizza (not my favorite but my son enjoyed it), a Philly cheesesteak burger (it was decent), friend shrimp (perfectly breaded and delicious), some type of bbq'd pork (we were all unable to eat it as it was so tough), a chicken tender the size of my hand (my son and friend devoured it), cheese curds (they weren't like the ones you can get at the state fair as they were a yellow cheese and didn't have much flavor, but when you dipped them in the sauce that was attached to the cup they were pretty good), and crab cakes (we thought they were okay). The Bloody Mary of the month had enough food on it that I didn't need to order anything else. The vibe is really lively and fun on a football Sunday. When the Vikings score they hand out free grape ape shots. I would definitely recommend spending your football Sunday here.

Both were wonderfully flavorful! My mom tried the grilled salmon with rice and asparagus, which I frankly didn't bother to try because I knew it wouldn't compare to the other two plates. The Brussels sprouts as an appetizer was decent, but had too much balsamic glaze, my table agreed. Our server was a bit hard to talk to, but still attentive and helpful. The patio was incredible, though. Especially as it got darker out, the string lights made a very enchanting vibe- minus all the bugs biting your ankles. I would plan to return, but be prepared for a heftier bill!

The inside is a total dive bar (not my scene) and the music was too loud, but we made it out to the patio which is such a hidden gem! The whole place is seat yourself and when we went for dinner around 5 pm there were plenty of tables available! The service was good and the best part was the food! My expectations were low but I was very happily surprised! They also have a good happy hour 2-6pm: $1 off drinks, $3 off apps, and $5 off pizza. The pizza is a true tavern style, which my kids loved! I also got the steak bites to start because I can't resist anything with onion strings. The meat was tender, the onion strings were so good and the sauce was a perfect amount of spice and creaminess to tie everything together! The buffalo chicken salad was pretty good but too much chicken and I wish the lettuce was cut smaller (probably wouldn't order again). There was lots more items on the menu I want to try next time (garlic burger and chicken kebobs to name a few).

There are about 5 handicap parking spots, but there is no ramp going into the restaurant, so you have to climb 2 steps to get in. It looked like there was a ramp into the off-sale shop, but I am not sure it was open. The vibe is kind of dive-bar, pull tabs, popcorn, lots of televisions playing sports, Trivia at 8:00. I thought it was very loud. Our server was very nice, but very distracted and busy. The onion rings were very good. Super hot when they come out, and they come with a sauce that was good. Not sure how to describe the sauce. I had the Steakhouse Salad, rare. It was ok, not great. The meat was rare as ordered, but it was tough and had an off flavor. Not like a rotting flavor, just like a bad cut of meat. The tomato vinaigrette that came with it was not great either, too much fake smoke flavor. My partner had the Scullers Famous Hot Angus Beef sandwich. He said it was really good. The meat was just a little chewy, but sliced nice and thin. The garlic mashed potatoes were really good and the gravy was amazing. Total was $92 with 3 drinks and a tip.

Lately, I've been obsessed with the Herb Crusted Filet of Salmon. It's served with creamy mashed potatoes, asparagus, and a delicious lemon sauce that ties everything together. It's consistently flavorful and always hits the spot. As for drinks, the Paradise Punch is my favorite--it's sweet, fruity, and so refreshing. I also tried the Non-Alcoholic Mojito, but it wasn't really for me. It tasted a little too plain and could have used more sweetness and a stronger citrus kick. I also ordered a Virgin Pina Colada (it's not listed on the menu, but you can ask for one). It was refreshing with a nice slushy texture, though I wish the coconut flavor came through a bit more. The Cheesecake Factory is a solid choice with something for just about everyone. The only downside is that it's always busy, so be prepared for a wait--both to be seated and for your food. Thankfully, the complimentary bread and butter make the wait a little easier! Service has generally been friendly, although nothing particularly memorable. The dining room can also get quite loud, so if the patio is open, I highly recommend sitting outside. It's much quieter and I personally prefer it over the dimly lit, Venetian-inspired interior. Despite the crowds, it's still a place I find myself coming back to again and again because there's always something new to try!
