I guarantee you if a store told that to any of these folks who work at this terribly run DMV, "we overcharged $275 so you can apply to corp headquarters for a refund," every last one of them would throw a fit and expect and demand an immediate refund. California is a broken state, and while I would never vote for the fascist gop, I sure wish the democrats would try a little harder to provide value for our tax dollars and decent government. Sad dmv office, and terrible of CA DMV to not give me my refund in the same way I paid without argument.

They wanted $31.00 to sign off and Mountain View wanted $27.00 (non MTV resident, residents can get them signed off for free). Called CHP and they said they will sign off for any correctable citation for free! Headed over there this morning and was pleasantly greeted by the front desk receptionist and handed her my citation. Within 5 min an office signed off that the plate was installed and I was on my way. Seriously nice ppl who work here. Keep it up CHP!

This is the only USCIS location that I've ever been to for interviewing my green card and…read morecitizenship. I have a good experience here. In a normal circumstance, I'd say I recommend this location but you can't really choose so good luck. You can only come inside 15 minutes before your appointment. I always came 30 minutes early and wait in the car to be sure I won't late. There's a lot of parking too. You need to show them your appointment notice for them to let you in. The security guards are serious but polite. After going through security, you need to go to the check-in booth so that they can notify your interviewer that you're there. Then you would go wait in the waiting area. The waiting area is spacious and usually doesn't have many people. You'd probably wait about 15 minutes before the officer calls you in. If you come in for a citizenship interview and you pass the test, the officer will tell you to wait in the waiting area to receive more information regarding the oath ceremony appointment. The 2 officers that interviewed me for my green card and citizenship were very nice and friendly. They made the interviews less scary. Side note: if you need to reschedule your interview (citizenship interview in my case), call the number on the interview notice. A representative will send the request over to the local office. You'll get a confirmation email saying they'll honor your request to change the appointment. This means you don't have to go to the interview anymore. They might not schedule you a new interview date until the original one has passed so if this is the case, you can even attend the original interview date if you can make it.

The error was not mine, and I was already dealing with the stress of getting my payment corrected. Initially, my visit started pleasantly. While I was at the office, I received a phone call from the Las Vegas Social Security office, where the original error had occurred. The representative asked me for the name of the agent assisting me in Campbell so they could send him a message to discuss the issue. Unfortunately, I did not know the agent's name. When he stepped away from his window, I approached the next available agent ( window 2) and politely asked if she could tell me his name. She responded that she did not know. When I expressed surprise that she did not know her coworker's name, her response became unnecessarily confrontational. She repeatedly told me she could not speak with me because I was on the phone and instructed me to return to my window. I was not attempting to conduct my business at her window or bypass the office's procedures. I simply needed the name of the person assisting me so the Las Vegas office could communicate with him about correcting its error. I understand that Social Security offices have rules and procedures, including rules about phone use at service windows. However, those rules could have been explained calmly and courteously. Instead, the employee's tone and manner were extremely rude and made an already stressful situation more unpleasant. I also found the interaction confusing because approximately 15 minutes earlier, I had seen the same employee assisting another client who had a phone out while a baby stroller was present. This made the way I was addressed feel inconsistent. When the agent returned, he introduced himself as Chris. He was very helpful, pleasant, and professional. I appreciate the assistance he provided, and I want to make it clear that my complaint is not about him. My concern is the unnecessary hostility I encountered when I asked a simple question to help resolve an administrative error. Customers visiting Social Security offices are often dealing with important financial matters that can be stressful. We should be treated with patience, courtesy, and respect, even when there are rules that need to be followed. I respectfully ask that this incident be reviewed and that employees be reminded of the importance of professional communication and courteous customer service. Finally, I recommend that employees wear visible name tags. Knowing an employee's name is important when coordinating between offices, asking for assistance, or providing feedback about a visit. Belmont is a beautiful little city tucked away beside San Mateo. I lived here with my grandparents…read morewhile attending community college before transferring to Cal. My favorite thing about Belmont is it's trail system. Throughout Belmont Heights and the surrounding neighborhoods is a sprawling trail system that goes around water dog lake and beyond. it's always a lovely place to hike/stroll or bring friends. Another good hike in Belmont is the watershed. The San Francisco Watershed provides beautiful hikes with views of crystal springs reservoir all on an internationally known cross country course. It's truly magical to go for runs or hikes here, especially in the crisp belmont mornings! Belmont is a fairly affluent city that is mostly quiet and very safe. It has close-knit neighbors and organizations and good eats! I love exploring new little places in the surrounding area. I hope i can afford to live in Belmont myself some day. It really is that great!

Per Google, it would appear that your odds of being injured or killed by a lightning strike are probably far, far higher than your odds of being injured or killed by a car parked on a hill that has a spontaneous brake failure and doesn't have its wheels curbed. The $3.95 "internet service fee" that one must pay to deal with citations online is somewhat amusing given that the company Belmont has contracted with to run this racket has a website that doesn't even work properly. The confirmation page indicated that I didn't provide an email address for an email receipt, but I did and I received one. It also has visible bugs (see screenshot).
