After having purchased PTM tarps from resellers closer to home I decided to make the trip (4 hours round trip) to make a large purchase. I arrived early morning on a Saturday there was almost no wait and a ton of parking. I was attended fast by an associate named Julieta who helped us create a quote and suggested that we open a wholesale account but we would have to come back on a weekday when accounting was there. I was a hesitant because of the long drive, but was reassured by Julieta that we would receive better pricing. I came back on Monday afternoon and again there was almost no wait. I was able to open a whole sale account and got great prices! Overall a pleasant experience. Great service. Friendly staff. If you're planning on making a big purchase I definitely recommend you come Mon-Fri to avoid having to come back like I did. read more

How hard can it be to pick the pieces needed. Bought a 10x30 canopy. When you place the order the computer prints out all the parts to be picked and sent to the guy that releases the product. Pretty simple unless you can't read and are incompetent. These boneheads somehow can't get this right. Make sure before you leave you check each and every part and have a very clear understanding of what exactly you need. If you don't you will have go back stand in line and pay for the parts they didn't include twice. read more

I bought a 20 x 10 canopy elsewhere and some of the poles got damaged during a rain/wind storm, so I went to PTM to by replacements..... they had a gazillion poles of all sizes and of course they didn't have the size I needed. Came in 10 minutes before closing, I was greeted and acknowledged immediately by several staff members. I was told the warehouse would be closing shortly. I needed a 16x20 canopy tarp replacement. I was going to buy the same tarp that tore but was given more info regarding a vinyl tarp. I know the staff was ready to go home but at no point was I rushed, the customer service rep took her time, explained the benefit of the vinyl tarp and why it's a better buy long term. The vinyl tarp is pricier but worth the price if it will not have to be replaced every time we get high winds. I came here on a Saturday afternoon looking for a canopy to take on a camping trip. This place is pretty cool. They have everything to put together a kit for a custom tubular steel canopy or you can buy a pre-boxed kit. They have pop ups, tables, chairs, tarps, bungee ball cords. I looked around for about 10 minutes then went to the counter to ask for the specific size canopy I wanted. The person behind the counter said they were out of stock of the 10x10 angled roof canopy. The next size was a 10x16 angled roof canopy but with red tubular steel frame. Customer service was lacking because I didn't know they had a 10x16 but with a flat roof and stainless tubular steel. They never mentioned it or suggested it. I had to ask about 10 questions and interrogate it out of them that they did have other alternatives to the out of stock 10x10 and the red tubular steel frame 10x16 that didn't cost to much more. I told them I wanted the 10x16 flat roof stainless tubular steel frame and I asked if I needed anything extra. They told me I needed to buy the footpads if I wanted them. Only $2 each so I bought the six I needed. The kit came with all the tubular steel for the frame, all the brackets for the frame, the ball bungees for attaching the tarp, and the tarp. Good deal. Two 10x10 Eazy-Ups would be at least $400. For my one 10x16 much sturdier tubular steel canopy I paid $160. And it will probably outlast me. No instructions are included for setup. You have to figure it out on your own. But I figured it out pretty easy. After laying out all the tubular steel and brackets setup took me about 20 minutes for the first time. I was able to use the canopy on my camping trip from 7/20/15-7/23/15. The canopy was great. Easy to setup. Was perfect. Better than a pop up. read more

Absolute failure. I purchased the tent early for Daytona bike week. I got it in advance as to not have shipping and delay issues. I go to the show, the second to last day we get rain. It leaked ary al the stitch joints. I have over $2000 ruined leather products and merchandise. Then I read the return policy. 30 days, most be returned in original boxes??? The boxes were trash after shipping one way. Poles strapped with steel straps not reusable. Poor product terrible customer service. read more

Terrible customer service! Hours say closed @5pm I also called to verify the time when a young lady answered & said,"we close @5pm"... I came from SouthBay to Paramount and arrived @3:55pm. I came into the gate when a worker named Benito shouts we're closed & I was shocked & replied I checked your website & also called & they indicated that you close at 5 PM and he said we have too many people in here and we are Not going to get to them by five so we're closing now and I replied well I'm coming from far and I know exactly what I want and he replied well I'm pretty sure you're not the only one who's coming from far so come back tomorrow. That was very rude and poor customer service. I told him you should indicate that on your website and also have the young ladies let people know that you're going to be closing early because you cannot accommodate too many people that way people like me will not waste their gas and time to come out for nothing and to be shouted in the manner that he did. Do NOT shop here. Spent $400 in material and pipe fitting for a custom canopy. The company was out of the white 10x10 mesh tarps and said they could offer the green. Thought the green might work and figured I'd give it a try. I opened one and held it up to my project 3 hours after leaving and it didn't work out. Came back to return IN THE ORIGINAL PACKAGING THE NEXT DAY and was completely denied A REFUND FOR $50 bucks. Have 3 referral friends coming here this week and that's no longer happening after the terrible customer service I received. Apparently a $50 return just lost them over $1000 of new business. read more

I went to purchase a tarp today but forgot the actual size of the tarp but knew the approximate price. I was helped by one of the female employees but she wasn't really helpful or knowledgeable and said she didn't know the pricing. She just wanted me to point and choose a trap from the catalog. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was assisted by Edgar. What a total opposite, he knew prices, sizes, and took the time to really make sure I found what I was looking for. This would have been a 5-star review but the previous employee needs training and better customer services skills. If you don't know, ASK SOMEONE!
