My care here has been therapy for a dislocation for my elbow. I feel I get the utmost thorough treatment. They use ultrasonic treatment, heat therapy, exercise, and massage. He receives one on one therapy with a skilled therapist each day while still getting to participate in peer activities similar to what he experienced in a school setting. After speaking with Leila, I drove to the San Antonio location to see the facility. The facility is beautiful and well-maintained. The front desk staff were very helpful, and they introduced me to Dr. Joseph Carneglia. This is a well-run business, from the Austin staff to the San Antonio staff. I knew after meeting Dr. Joseph Carneglia that this was the place and person I would pick for physical therapy. It has been such a great choice.

Therapy at other places, but this was by far the best place. One receives individual care given by a very knowledgeable individual and is not handed off from one person to the next. The scheduling was adapted to accommodate mine, and the whole atmosphere is very conducive to success.

I called to inquire about an evaluation for my child. The lady with what sounded like an English accent asks if my insurance was with an employer. It was not. Then she asks "is it Marketplace"? Not knowing what marketplace was, I said yes. Then she curtly said that this insurance was not accepted. After the call, I logged into my insurance (which was purchased directly from UnitedHealthcare) and, sure enough, they WERE in network, as I had UHC Choice, and not Marketplace, I call back telling her this information and was referred to the manager, and he was repeating the same information. I told him I misspoke and clarified that I did not have Marketplace insurance and that I purchased the insurance directly from the UHC website, which he claimed this wasn't a thing (YES, this is a thing, because I did it. ). They didn't bother to fully check to see if the office was in network (didn't actually ask for my Member ID information or other details) which is what dozens of offices have done as standard protocol. Eventually the man did say that we can take my insurance, but wouldn't be able to accept my husband's Aetna insurance in 2026 - but that I could still schedule something under my current insurance. ABSOLUTELY NOT! The conversation with reception left a bad taste in my mouth and I have scheduled evaluation services elsewhere. I would recommend in-house office training on how not to escalate insurance issues and on common customer service skills. And if insurance companies are listing your office as in-network when it's not, you need to figure out how to fix that on your end.

This was before they started running patient visits like an assembly line. I have some new issues and was told to book an appointment here based on a recommendation from someone I know. I was given a list of tasks I had to do in order to get an appointment. NO booking of appointments prior to getting all of your past medical records sent to them. I did this, but I never received a call back. When I called in a month later, I was told Dr. Bunch had NOT reviewed my records. I received several text messages for an appointment with a different doctor. I declined, not knowing why I was being sent to someone else. 3 months later, I call in and was told Dr. Bunch won't see anyone who has seen a Pain Mgmt. doctor. I asked why someone didn't let me know. She said, "I don't know." The person on the phone tried to rebook me with the other doctor and when I asked what field he was in, she couldn't tell me. She transferred me to his assistants line, which went straight to voice mail. The voice mail requirements for leaving a message were as numerous as the ones I was required to give when I first called in.

My one issue is that they were running behind on my appointment day. I waited longer than 30 minutes. This really wasn't acceptable. I look forward to a long relationship with this doctor and this practice.
