My cousin had purchased cars from here in the past and had seemed happy. We were in the market for our son's first car and after reviewing online the inventory, we agreed to check out cars here. The selection is vast and Michael was easy to work with. Here is my summary of experience and maybe I just have high expectations when it comes to purchasing vehicles. Will we buy cars from here in the future? Perhaps. If so, I'll set my expectations a bit lower than I had for this trip. Pros: Michael's staff are super friendly. They were great to all 3 of us when there. Cute dog in the lobby Reasonable prices - on the high end compared to local listings of similar vehicles. Vast inventory Easy test drive process - was able to drive several and narrow it down. Warranty sale was a smooth process or would have gone 3rd party Sales process/closing was smooth Cons: I expected the car to be cleaned after purchasing. Instead there is gross hair all over and there was this goo on the trunk mat that my husband had to wash out with a hose. Half a tank of gas at pick up. I get margins are tight but I have car buying experience and have NEVER picked up a car with less than a full tank at delivery. Had to wait 15 minutes beyond our appointment time because Michael didn't have the paperwork ready. I'd normally be patient but I was going back and forth with him the prior Thursday on a busy day for me as he said he was getting everything ready to go to Saturday that day. Constant text and emails for a 5 star (Google) review. One thing to ask but please deliver a 5 Star Experience if you're pushing for those 5 stars.

Summary: Dave's Service Center is an automobile repair, used car sales, car rental, and U-Haul…read morebusiness. I've only used their auto repair services before, so my review only reflects upon that. Cost: Very very fair. I never ever feel like I'm being charged extra for either parts or labor. I don't know what kind of parts are used to repair cars here, but I don't ever feel like I'm getting shoddy quality parts either. In fact, and I'm not saying they do this all the time, I've went to get my fluids checked before and they've done it for free AND topped off a couple of them free of charge. How many places do that? Experience: I have nothing negative to say about Dave's. Dave and his son (and the other employee's I've encountered) are absolutely fantastic. They've been really friendly and informative the entire time to by myself and my fiancee. I've learned quite a bit about my car and as mentioned above, never feel like I've gotten ripped off. I do all my oil changes here and repairs (I've had a couple exhaust repairs and a couple wheel repairs) and am always quoted with costs consistent with low prices on car forums online. Overall: If you're in Geneva, NY and need auto repair done, go to Dave's. Don't mess around with Monroe or other chains that always find more things they want you to pay to repair. Dave's will let you know how your car looks and tell you what they think about your car and if anything does look on the verge of failing they'll let you decide if you want to do it now, down the road, somewhere else, or at not all. Completely pressure-free and a great experience all around. Going to miss it when we move out of state.

I don't feel overcharged which is one issue with many garages. They get the work done in a reasonable amount of time. The only issue I've had is there are no appointments, so you just drop your car off the night before or in the morning and they call you when it is done. This could be inconvenient if you work outside of the area. Dave, the owner is a nice guy and seems to remember you after a few visits and remembers your car. The garage also does used car sales, and rents U-Hauls. I would definitely recommend this garage to anyone in the area that needs work done on their vehicle.
