DO NOT COME HERE. BAD!!! On October 19th, 2025 I spent $1K for me and my partner to have a spa evening. My partner's experience was great, and she had been here before many times with a good impression. Mine, I totally wish there were less than 1star as I would have selected that. We arrived on time at our scheduled 4PM session. I was led to a bench and told that someone would be right with me. Over 90 minutes later and three trips to the front desk, finally someone came. I did NOTHING for an hour and a half. Once they finally took me, every service was excellent, but I was too pissed to enjoy any of it. Nobody gave me a reason why I waited so long. Nobody apologized. Nothing. It took me, at the front desk as my partner and I were leaving, bringing up the debacle that was our evening to the owner/manager who had the gall to tell me I had only waited 40 minutes too long. Well, I didn't skip math in school, and by my calculations, when you arrive at 4 and don't get serviced until 5:30, that's defiantly 90 minutes and not 40 which would have been bad enough but certainly welcome to 90. Jesus. Only with me being disgruntled at the front desk at the end did the owner admit that the person who was supposed to meet me for my first service took another client before me by accident. While that's not okay, it would have been a little better had they said that when they picked me up 90 minutes late. Nobody said a thing. Nobody apologized. To make matters worse, it's pretty obvious they sped through all my services so that I would finish when my partner did and so that we would both leave at closing so as not to inconvenience the owner and her staff. That's not okay. When I pushed back hard at the end, they gave me $40 off my next visit. I don't know how that's possibly going to help me since I WILL NEVER COME HERE AGAIN. read more

Visited at 7 months pregnant and they treated me so well! I went for the Aroma treatment. The scrub is very intense but the lady that took care of me did a great job in scrubbing me thoroughly and my belly felt super soft. Since they knew (and I am visibly) pregnant, they didn't have me on my back but able to scrub from one side to another so it is pregnant-lady approved! Never have I ever regretted coming here. Ever. I always get a body scrub ($80 at the time this review was written) and sometimes get a massage & facial when I come here, but you get to enjoy the salt rooms, hot tub, cold tub, steam room, sauna, and showers with general admission ($40 at time this review was written). There is a two hour time limit with general admission and then the allotted time that comes with your treatment. I've never felt like I needed more time than allotted so never got charged extra like some reviews mentioned. Come 30 mins early so you can soak before your treatment, and just let yourself slow down and relax. I had Mina today and my friend had Michelle--they were both excellent with the scrub! Bring cash for tips. Slippers to walk around inside. Face wash and moisturizer for after the treatment. read more

This place is ok. The body scrub and massage that I had was good but the facility itself is pretty worn down. You check in when you arrive, messy front office with a stack of laundry to the side on a table. So many signs to read in the front. I paid in cash but they didn't honor the 3.999% off (see picture) The hot tub wasn't clean, lots of floating debris and skin particles floating around. The steam room wasn't working during my visit as well. The massage lotion and oil they used felt cheap, also had some glitter/shimmer ingredient in it that I did not appreciate. I ended up having to shower once I got home. Towels and robes provided are very well used, some stains on the yellow towels I used so that was pretty gross for me. Went in for the Korean Body Scrub $70 for 30 minutes. I never thought I would ever need this type of treatment until I saw all the dead skin all over the table! All female spa, you are given a robe, towels & a key bracelet for your assigned locker. Come 30 minutes prior so you can sit in the sauna and loosen up all that dead skin. You will smell Eucalyptus mist and it is so relaxing! Your number is called and you will strip naked and lay on the shower table. They have on these exfoliating mits on as they scrub the hell out of your body, it won't hurt. You will start off by laying on your stomach, back, then side to side. They will pour warm water in between scrubs and you will see all the dead skin! It ends with a mani face massage and they wash your hair for you. Your body will be so soft after you will feel so refreshed and brand new! Facility is so clean and relaxing. They have a jacuzzi as well. I recommend this to all females. Came for 3rd year anniversary with boyfriend, who treated us to a couples' full body massage. It's $90 per person for a full body massage, so thank you, my love! Another massage/spa place we've been to before was fully booked and couldn't take our reservation, so I consulted Yelp for another place for a couple's massage. The funny thing is that I've passed by PSY Health Town many times, but I had no idea it was a spa. When I saw this come up in my recommendations and read all the reviews, we decided to come here. I tried to call 3 times on the same day, but they never picked up, which was weird, because my phone worked fine for other calls. On the other hand, my boyfriend was able to book a reservation for 3:10pm just fine. On the day of the appointment, we were driving to Psy Health Town, and were running a little late. They called my boyfriend's phone, and when we told them we were only 5 minutes away, we were asked, "Would you like us to move your massage to 4:30?" "NO!" my boyfriend and I shouted in unison. We were only 5 minutes away, it didn't make sense for us to push our session so far back (we also had a 7:00pm dinner reservation later that night that we needed to get ready for). When we arrived, after some miscommunication (and also other patrons of the spa coming up to the front desk to voice some complaints, such as one woman saying she paid for a 1 hour body scrub, but only received 45 minutes), my boyfriend gave them his ID in exchange for us receiving these pajama-like garments we were required to wear, electronic bracelets that would lock/unlock a locker with the number corresponding to the bracelet (for instance, I had bracelet 22, which corresponds with locker 22 in the women's room), and towels. They told us to show up to our massage room at 3:40pm. Despite the initial miscommunication, I was incredibly impressed with how clean and spacious the place is, even in the locker rooms! I was pleased with the hot tub. The sauna rooms were so relaxing! They had the Stone room (hot), Jade Room (also hot), and Himalayan Salt room (cold, we didn't really care much for this room on our trip). For our massage, my boyfriend had requested a female masseuse for me during his call for our reservation. Instead, we both ended up having male masseuse. I didn't mind, but this could be an issue for any other ladies reading my review who are considering coming here. I was topless during my massage, but at least a sheet was covering my body throughout the massage, except for part of the session when my back was massaged. The massage was quite intense. I had Min, and my boyfriend got Simon. We both have a lot of knots, because we both got really hard massages. Our backs and bodies were oiled, and it felt like we were constantly being chopped into. Much needed, but so worth it! They also left us envelopes for tips, so remember to bring cash! The day after the massage, our neck, shoulders, and back were super sore. I have been going there for years. A few years ago it was remodeled and was very clean and nice. Since Covid it has slower gone down hill. The cost has increased almost 50 percent from. 60 to 90 dollars. The scrubs are shorter and they use water sparingly. Most recently I was there and the jacuzzi was murky and had a foul odor. I mentioned it to the front desk and they acted surprised even though they were burning a candle near the spa for the smell. Also no one was using the jacuzzi. The last time I was there the jacuzzi was not even working. Not worth the price. read more

I brought my mom to this Spa for some bonding time. First time for me at a K Spa. She's experienced before, in Korea. The pics on Yelp are spot on. I didn't bring my phone with me. There's no way a phone is useful here. My body was twice exfoliated, oiled, rubbed- most pressure points hit. It was phenomenal!!! The technicians were professional. Neither of our Techs spoke English- We went mostly on hand gestures- like when and how to flip. We both purchased the Spa Special. 100 minutes of ME time! Followed by a mini facial and a hair washing. Bliss!! My only tip, is to arrive a half hour early, during this COVID period, to enjoy the hot tub and cool pool. It's advised to not shower after your treatment. A slight disappointment for me. Other than that- a must go!!! My whole family and I came here on Mother's Day as a Mother's Day treat for my mom! I booked an appointment for 3 body scrubs and 1 PSY special a week before Mother's Day and I was disappointed that our times were not actually booked correctly. We ended up having to wait for an extra hour, so I definitely don't recommend coming here if you're on a time crunch for the day. We all loved it, and wow was it satisfying to see all of the dead skin come off! This is definitely pricey and wouldn't come on a regular basis, but as it was 3 of our first experiences it was pretty good! One thing that I would recommend to management is to have disposable combs and lotion. The spa did come with combs, but given the pandemic, I did not feel comfortable using combs that were probably not sanitized. I could spend all day here. It's so CLEAN and comfortable. The services provided by the professional staff are luxurious. The facility is smaller with scaled down amenities compared to Pearl Spa in SF and Wi Spa but offers what you need: Massages, hot therapy rooms, facials, hot tub, cold tub, showers, body scrubs, sauna, steam rooms. PSY is the ultimate relaxation oasis. *Notes to go prepared: * You must be fully nude so be mentally prepared for that. No video or photography allowed. * Bring cash for tip if you're using the services/treatments. The staff are very kind and hard working so tip them well! * Bring waterproof sandals. They don't provide anything other than PJs and a lock for your locker. * Hydrate first and bring a reusable bottle to refill at their water station (water is filtered). * Practice etiquette! I'm no novice to the Korean Spa experience. I frequent the Pearl Spa in Sf which is amazing but a bit of a commute, so I was excited to find out Psy spa because it's basically up the street from my home. I was expecting the same luxury experience that I've grown accustomed too, but that was not the case. Let's start with what I did enjoy.... My masseuse, Lee was excellent. The scrub was thorough and the massage was perfect. The locker room was neat and clean. And the refresh area was spacious. My gripes are mainly with the facility itself. The entrance area is a bit tacky with handwritten signs on the plastic partition that separates the receptionist from customers. There were also vending machine up front that made the spa feel cheap like a motel 6 lobby. You get two towels and and a paper thin robe that has Psy Spa written in BLACK SHARPIE across the back and no slippers or sandals provide. The ambient temperature was rather chilly which was not ideal when you are nude and wet. The jacuzzi was warm rather than hot, and no one offered to show us around or even told us about The salt room, Stone room, or jade room. I assumed that they did have something of the sort but no one offered that information. We only found the rooms because another patron told us where to go. Overall its fine for convenience and if you are going alone, but it's not the kind of place I would book for a girls day out. read more

This was my first time at a Korean Day Spa. Just an FYI, it's a place where you have to be naked even in the jacuzzi, shower, and steam rooms. It was awkward for me at first but you get used to it after awhile. Plus you have the robe to use when walking from Place to place. The ladies from the front receptionist to the back were very friendly, nice and explained every service to me and kept asking if I was ok. They knew it was my first time too. This day spa is co-Ed. It's up to date and clean. They have a Korean dry steam room for men & women and separate dry and wet steam room on each side. Showers, lotion, hair brush and hair dryers. You check in and they give you a key for your locker, a robe and two towels. I recommend you come in 20 minutes early to your appointment so you can soak and enjoy the jacuzzi while you wait for your masseuse. Also brings spare of slippers/flip flops. I got the 24k gold wrap with the works, massage, body scrub, mini facial and hair wash. My masseuse was Michelle and she was a super sweet lady who guided me for my first time. The back and neck rub felt amazing and she immediately asked if I have headaches because it was so tight. She knew! The wrap was hot but in a good way. It needed to I order for the wrap to work. I was steaming and sweating all over and all my toxins were coming out. The body scrub was amazing! So much dead skin and I can't even tell you how soft and glowy my skin is. I love my skin even more. From Head to toe I'm baby soft. I enjoyed this place! Now I know what to expect and I will stay longer when I come back. I went in at 1pm on a Sunday and it wasn't too busy. Don't use Ruby. She's carelessly with your body. She missed my body and dumped her bucket of water in my face instead of on my back. I literally had water in my eyes and up my nose. She doesn't scrub so much as she give a one handed rub and her massages are no better. I was cold and uncomfortable. At the end she pulled out a dirty torn cloth and wrapped it around me. I paid $$ for that. Also, there really wasn't anyone there to talk to about any problems with service. The woman up front did not understand me at all. She kept asking me if I wanted to talk with the woman who gave me the service. Then she said it just wasn't was a "a good match." I insisted that i was not provided with the service I paid for and that It was more like an assault than a massage and she replied that she was sorry and offered me a scrub cloth. I haven't been here in a long time. It seems like before there was a little more privacy offered in terms of not putting you in a open space with somebody laying down next to you completely naked. There should be some kind of screen or something in between clients so that you're not looking at a naked person that you don't know. Also, My scrubber I felt spent too much time on my breasts and in between my legs. I would've preferred that she spent more time on my feet and my hands which she almost ignored completely even when, through pointing as she understood little English. Also, I put a little towel in between my legs and she kept you almost removing it even when I protested. I didn't like that so I'm not sure if I'm going back. UPDATE: For varied reasons ... real or imagined ... there are many men who don't feel comfortable being nude and sharing space with other naked men. To address this, Psy has made some enhancements to the men's section to safeguard that privacy factor: 1) Partitions have been built for better privacy while showering ... and 2) Bathing trunks are now required at all times in the spa areas. Nudity is only permitted while showering or receiving a treatment. This should clear the way for creating a more welcoming and safe place to rest and relax ... especially for the hesitant, shy, or retiring guy. So no excuses or worries anymore, guys! I went there on a Monday morning for the first time for a deep tissue massage I had never been to a Day spa before. There is private parking in the back. The spa is very spacious with multiple massage rooms and therapists. Scheduling was flexible. There is a male area, female area, and family area with hot stone rooms. The men's spa has two pools and stone rooms. Very spacious and clean. 5/5 experience. Definitely worth checking out. read more

Next the door was open while he received the massage the whole time. No relaxation, heard people talking and walking past the whole time. The staff was super accommodating and were able to get all 3 of us in at the same time. The scrub was phenomenal, I've never felt this soft in my life. Okay this review is long over due actually ... so I have been a frequent user of korean spas, but I have been coming to PSY spa for quite some time now. The facility is always nice and clean whenever I go and the treatments are great! They always had a issue though where in the men's side guys would be doing inappropriate behavior and they also did not care if other people looked as well.. it would usually be a group of them as well almost as if they are trying to take over for themselves and not have other individuals in there. You can tell the owners of this business cares about their customers they put up a new wall for the showers so men can have more privacy and they also put a new rule that men have to wear swim trunks! Which I absolutely love because now it seems like the inappropriate behavior has stopped YES FINALLY! I see these bad reviews which are totally not true and it seems like those reviews left are probably the same customers who were doing the inappropriate behavior? I mean come on isn't it obvious the review's the guy said he's been coming here for years then stopped because of the new policy ...urmm RED FLAG? Don't be discouraged by these guys leaving bad reviews PSY we see you doing the right thing and trying to make this place better for all customers! read more

My wife and I have been going to this spa for years. Even when they increased the price to 40.00 and never lifted the time limit (3 hours M-F & 2 hours on weekends) that they implemented right after the pandemic claiming it was for guests safety and a requirement. That may have been the case then, but other places I've been do not have these time restrictions any longer. Cleanliness has never been a priority here, but in the last year they have really let it go. I actually use the tools they leave in the open area to skim the whirlpool before I go in as theres usually a ton of hair and other stuff floating. Thats if its actually working. Several times I've gone and its not working. They won't tell you that something is broken when you check in. I've started checking before changing when I go alone for this reason as I don't want to pay $40 and not have full use of the facilities. Twice they have tried to not to refund my entrance fee. In addition they have unfinished ceilings in the mens dry sauna, the thermostat in the wet sauna often times doesn't work properly and either the room gets cool, or it never shuts off and everyone has to leave the room or keep the door cracked. In addition the mens side is not nearly as stocked and maintained as the womens side (my wife has shown me pics). The most recent change tho is why we won't be going back and will start going to Bay Spa or Kabuki... They now require men to wear swim trunks while in any area of the mens facility. No such restrictions on for women. So unless you're in the shower or getting a treatment you must be in shorts. If I wanted to wear shorts (and carry wet shorts home to wash) and deal with sub par facilities I could go to the sauna and whirlpool at my gym. I honestly think the only reason they still get any business is that they are the only spa in the east bay. Thats honestly the reason we've continued to go here. But at some point you just have to spend you money where your getting value. read more

This is a month long overdue review. I had my first experience here for my birthday and I will definitely be coming back. The lady at the front desk was soft spoken and at times I didn't understand/hear her, but I got the gist of what she was saying. She was very kind and polite. After checking in, you pay up front. If you pay cash (I did), you get a free face mask. They will provide you a basket with towels and a robe and you get assigned a locker. After getting completely disrobed (I was shy at first, but loosen up after seeing how chill everyone was), you can decide to explore their hot tub, sauna, etc. before your appointment time. Once it's your appointment time, a cute lady will come and call your number and escort you to their table. And then the relaxation begins. The scrub. Oh the scrub. It was amazing. They start scrubbing with you facing up, then you face down. They get in between everything too. Once the scrubbing ends, they will rinse you down and have you shower and return for the massage. My massage was intense but I didn't want her to stop. I felt she felt where my tensions were and was trying to help me release it even though it hurt well into the next day. They also do the facial during this time. Then lastly, the hair wash. It was such a wonderful and awesome experience. I have mentioned this place to several people already. Boy has this place gone downhill. I just went after not being there for a year or two. The sauna was barely warm, there was no limit to how long I could stay in there. Normally a sauna that is between 185 and 190 is perfect and I can only do about 15 minutes, my guess is they have theirs set around 150-160, but there is no thermostat to check of course. The cold dip is not cold at all, it's basically slightly colder than a lukewarm bath. The cost of entry is definitely not worth it any longer. At one point the entrance fee got you unlimited tea as well, but that is all gone. At one point there was a cafe, many years ago. I would guess they are going out of business with all of the cost cutting they are doing. They only give you one towel, which you need to sit on, then I guess they expect you to dry off with the same towel. Save your money and just go to a better sauna. Every single other sauna in the Bay Area is better than this one now, and this used to be my regular spot. read more

What an incredible experience. You wouldn't think of this place on the outside. But once you walk in it's total transformation. So peaceful and serene..clean and well kept. I found this place on Yelp for my birthday. I wanted a spa day. Not gonna lie I enjoyed walking around naked, so if your self conscious this isn't the place for you. If your uncomfortable with someone scrubbing EVERY inch of your body, not the place for you. It is equipped with sauna, spa, and lockers. KO was my masseuse, she did a WONDERFUL and thorough job. I felt so relaxed. I got the PSY #3-$180(but I got it for $160 with a $80 deposit), which included massage,facial, milk treatment, body scrub, hair washing (I declined because I have locs, so they extend massage time). The women are so professional and experienced. My appointment was at 11am and didn't leave until 1:30pm and I enjoyed every minute! I definitely recommend this place to relax from everything!
