We have had amazing experiences at PSC. My son (Korean) has gone to several places to have his hair done with a Korean perm, but the last place in Duluth he went to fried his hair. We looked for another place and with the reviews we decided to try here. They were able to take care of his hair with little to no damage after the previous damage. He left looking great...so great that we decided to get my daughters (not Korean) hair permed as well. She had really long hair and the ends were fried from her straightening it so much. They were able to cut what was needed to make her hair healthy again, and her perm is AMAZING!!! Her hair was extremely poofy and curly and now it still has amazing volume but is so much more manageable. I am truly thankful that they have taken such care of my family, both Korean and non-Korean. read more

I found this place because I liked the hair on my dental receptionist and she told me that this is where she goes. I was new to the area so I gave it a shot and I'm so glad I did. Dianne is extremely kind and has a perfect attention to detail. I feel pampered when I'm in there and I walk out looking and feeling great. I am there primarily for highlights but usually get a trim/cut and sometimes a blowout. It does take a long time so I have to plan for that, but I appreciate the attention to detail and the feeling of not being rushed. They also use great products, my hair always feels and smells wonderful. They greet you like royalty and they also thank you for your business. read more

The first time I came I was pretty pleased with my hair. The second time, I called requesting Joanne and the man said okay. I show up to my appointment and the man on the phone is going to cut my hair. I didn't care too much but I took it out of my bun and he realized my hair was curled so he says "Oh you need a wash" but isn't a wash pretty standard anyways?? Anywho, he askes me how much I want my hair cut and I say 2 inches. My hair was LONG, past my boobs and after the cut it doesn't even touch my boobs anymore. I almost cried sitting in the chair about how much he had cut. I ask him in the end how much he thinks he cut and he says "2 inches.. then you have to style and everything". I was so shocked. I watched him the entire time he cut because we didn't talk but by the time he started cutting it was too late. He cut 2 inches while it was wet, then dried it and contiued to cut more. He parts in differently than i normally do and then continues to cut from there. It didn't make any sense to style and try to even out from a part different than what I had. But you could tell he struggled to make it even. Kept going back and forth from each side. If you want to walk out with a completely different length from what you started with.. then come here. read more

I got my hair done here awhile back before covid happened. Decided to come back today and still had a good experience. The ambience was nice, but it was much busier than before. It was good to know everyone wore masks and are spaced apart for covid safety. I had a haircut and dyed my hair. They provided masks to prevent your mask from getting dirty when dying the hair (but I recommend to make sure you wear your own mask when walking in or waiting to respect others). I went to the same person I did before, Dianne. They provided plastic things to put over your ears to not get it dirty from the dye. Mine kept falling off, but it was ok. Good service and reasonable price. I'm glad I give this place a try. Long story short. I got my hair cut a day ago but it was choppy. I came in PSC Hair Studio hoping to get an appointment with Joshua. Thankfully his book was open and he took me in right a way. Joshua took his time to fix my layer and it came out much more natural and professional. All my coworkers loved it and I got so many compliments. This is going to be my new go to hair place. I stopped going to Korean salons because they just seemed to get worse and worse. They never listen to what you ask for. If you want a trim- they give you a haircut, not a trim. You show them the hairstyle you want and it comes out something totally different. So I started going to American places. However, my friend posted about this place on Facebook, so I decided to make an appointment and try this place out since I needed a haircut. I didn't realize this place even existed. It's literally right in front of my house!!! I never knew! I always passed by here, but I never noticed it. Anyways I called to make an appointment. The lady on the phone was not pleasant at all... But whatever. So I made and appointment and I came for my haircut. Everyone greets you when you walk in the door. I didn't have to wait- they put me straight with a hair stylist. I should've gotten her name, but she was great! She has really short hair almost like a bob- and a little older than the rest of the crew. They take your jacket and everything to put into the closet. I was taken straight to get my hair shampoo-Ed and conditioned. Then she took me to the chair to get my haircut. She asked if I colored my hair and I said no it's my natural hair color. Then she asked when the last time I had a haircut and if I take care of my hair. She kept on talking about my hair... Then she asked how I would like my haircut and how short I wanted it. I showed her a picture of the style I wanted and that I didn't want a lot taken off. And she got to cutting. And man... She did it exactly how I wanted it and didn't cut off a lot. But she did cut all the bad parts. She was really great! She did exactly how I asked her to! And the haircut was only $25. ONLY $25! THAT IS SO CHEAP! For shampooing/conditioning and a haircut! The last place I went it was $55! And that was without tip! I don't know why but I guess because it was so cheap and she did such a great job I have her a $20 tip... I don't know what I was thinking... But it was a totally of $45 which is still cheaper than the American place I had gone to. HAH I'll be coming here again. For sure. read more
