Dr. Sepehri is absolutely wonderful. Not only that, the entire office is so kind and welcoming. I have severe dental anxiety due to past experiences, and everyone makes sure to check-in to make sure I'm okay every step of the way. From giving me time to put my air-pods in and making sure my playlist is on, to offering a pillowpet/squishmallow and a blanket if you need... They truly go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable. I have a few more fillings/crowns that need to be addressed, and I appreciate that I never feel pressured to rush in to get them done (especially due to insurance issues, and loss of my job). Instead I'm given a a treatment plan, with the more important issues being prioritized. I experienced some pain after one of my visits, and Dr. Sepehri reached out after hours to see what was going on, and to advise on next steps. I begged her to do work in hospital the same way she always did due to my Mental illness. Two weeks ago, I lost a tooth. While visiting Portland, I went to Dr. Sepehri's office to seek her recommended solution. After taking a comprehensive set of x-rays and a complete CT scan, she carefully examined all the images and computer 3-D graphics, and then she provided me with a detailed analysis of the conditions of my bones and teeth, and recommended that I should have an implant. To accelerate the process, she proceeded to extract what remained of my lost tooth. In my 75+ years of life, I have had 16 extractions and 12 implants. Therefore, I can speak from experience when I claim that the extraction done by Dr. Sepehri has been the easiest and most comfortable one so far, with absolutely no post-op pain, and without even a drop of bleeding after the extraction job. In addition to her expertise and excellence in execution, Dr. Sepehri is a perfect communicator with her clients, patiently explaining treatment steps and answering questions. I was particularly amazed by the way she administered the numbing agent, in little steps and over several minutes; I had never experienced such a gradual hence painless injection. I found Dr. Sepehri through my insurance as her practice was covered under my plan. I went in for a routine cleaning and evaluation and was told that I had three fillings that would need to be fixed. I had some skepticism as she also mentioned that my chin and forehead alignment was suboptimal and that she could do some work to improve the esthetic. I scheduled an appointment with her to have the fillings done but was able to see another dentist for a second opinion a few days later. Following a thorough evaluation, the second dentist told me that I did not need any fillings. I cancelled my appointment for the fillings and will not return. read more

The dental assistants and hygienist are amazing as well as the office staff. So incredibly friendly and kindhearted. The dentist is a 1/10. She clearly knows what she is doing but projects a "my way or the high way" attitude. She's rude to her staff in front of patients which is very unprofessional. She is also very rough, not a gentle bone in her body or approach. I have left this office a few times now with the most sore gums for days after as she is super rough with her tools and gives no f's when a patient is clearly uncomfortable and in pain. I have had six dentists in my 76 years of life and during that time I have also had a number of crowns. One of the early dentists allowed the impression 'goop' (that awful stuff in the tray that he puts in your mouth and holds until it hardens) to go into my throat and start to harden. I was terrified and came out of the chair, ripped the impression tray out of my mouth and threw it across the room. Needless to say that didn't go over well with the dentist. As a result of that experience, I have had panic attacks every time any dentist approaches my mouth to work. Recently my son told my wife and I about PS Dental, and he spoke so highly of them we decided to go there as well. On the first visit with the hygienist, I was told I had two teeth with cracks that needed crowns. My fears reared up and I ignored the suggestion. Yesterday I had my teeth cleaned again and the subject came up. This time I admitted my fear of the impression goop and tools in my mouth. Judy (the nicest Office Manager in any office in Oregon) said, "Oh, we don't use that any more. We are all digital and everything is done in about two hours." She explained the process and during the conversation my fears abated. I decided I would bite the bullet and do the crown, and when I asked for an appointment she said, "I have a cancellation tomorrow morning. Will that work?" It did, and this morning I received a new crown. The reason for my long story is because I know there are other old timers who have had similar experiences to mine and whether they admit it to others or not, they have a fear of tools, goop and fingers in their mouth. My encouragement is to go ahead and get the crown. The technology is amazing, the dentist is highly skilled and I walked out with a beautiful new crown, no goop and no panic attacks. Dr. Sepehri and her staff are terrific and I recommend them highly. read more

Was back for my teeth cleaning and -- after just a couple minutes sitting in the lobby -- got to meet the new dental hygienist, Jessica. She's a perfect addition to the team, as she was just the right balance of friendly and professional. (When you're stuck in a room with a person for thirty minutes to an hour and can only hold half a conversation because your teeth are being cleaned, it is very important that the person who is working with you is pleasant. Jessica definitely is!) She did a great job on my teeth as well, giving me tips for how to avoid some of the little problems that my eating and brushing habits lead to. She also surprised me by asking if I'd grown up somewhere with fluoridated water (which I did) because of the health of my teeth. No cavities in sight, and Dr. Sepehri explained some options I have to whiten my teeth (even with my tetracycline-stained teeth!) and to re-align the teeth that are getting out of place now that it has been 30 years since I had braces. I like that there was very little "sales pressure" applied with these suggestions and that the receptionist then had exact prices available to me for what those options would cost if I choose to do them. (On a side note, I can honestly say that ORANGE flavored tooth polish is not something that I'd recommend; it really did taste just like fresh orange, and I tried it voluntarily just because it was different, but it was still... odd.) I trust Dr. Sepehri's recommendations. I have been a patient since 2015. Since then we have replaced old (10+ year) fillings, completed invisalign (with stunning results) and we are working through the process of getting my oral appliance to treat sleep apnea. I'm can drag my feet about dental work and I was really resisting the sleep apnea suggestion that she made until I'd mentioned it to my MD as well. My medical doctor strongly suggested I go through with the sleep study and with my mild apnea diagnosis, that I should try the appliance. I have used the temporary for 2 weeks now. My partner reports I'm no longer snoring. I'm sleeping better. I'm more energetic throughout my day. It did take some adjusting and I won't say it's been entirely painless. But some jaw soreness in the morning is totally worth the lowered blood pressure, energy through out the day and getting to sleep next to my boyfriend again. I am so grateful for her recommendation. Stay away from this dentist unless you want a $1600 bill for work that is not needed. My spouse found this on our insurance provider's website and he made an appointment for a routine cleaning. His last cleaning was 6 months ago. At the appointment she did not perform the cleaning and did x-rays but knowingly reported them to our insurance as a procedure that wasn't covered. She said he had 6 cavities and would also need a deep cleaning to be completed in 5 visits. We went to another dentist 2 days later and he said had none. This dentist obviously cares more about money than the patient. read more

I found her through our in-network insurance system. I went in for a nightguard, she talked me into something else, stated I needed a special MRI from an expensive machine she invested in that was sitting idle, she proclaimed other diagnosis she wanted to investigate. She talked me instead into a very expensive device that completely failed. Prior to any work being done, they assured me all the procedures were covered by insurance, and I specifically asked that they call to get pre-authorization. Nothing was covered, now after 1.5 years of fighting over the bill she's handed me, I'm giving up and paying her - but I felt I needed to come here to warn you THEY ARE NOT ABOVE OUTRIGHT LYING TO YOU. They never called my insurance provider, not once. They misfiled twice for the procedures, so incompetent as well. Out right scandalous practitioner, I was shocked to see the ratings here. Really wanted to like this dentist and the office. Everyone is nice. However the second visit they had my records incorrect requesting work I did not need and attempting to replace work that was fine. This was surprising after the detailed and lengthy first visit. During my filling on the second visit I have never experienced such poor communication. The dentist or assistant did not work with me on rest requests and told me to work through what they were doing. I have never been talked down to by a dentist or assistant ever. When the receptionist called to request schedule the replacement work she said the doctor did not list it as optional and would only get worse and tried to lecture me on not calling sooner to schedule. I have dealt with amazing dentists in the past and only had to change because of new insurance. I would be leery of anything this dentist recommends, as she seems very sale driven.
