They communicate, they are timely, and most of all you can tell they care about the well being of their patients. My root canal was smooth and Dr. Welk explained what he was doing as he went. I felt comfortable and it was very clear he knew what he was doing, as well as his assistant. I was so relaxed I fell asleep about half way through. On top of all this, the wonderful ladies in the office, Nancy and Hayley, both followed up with me the next day to make sure I was doing alright. If you need a root canal, you won't find a better place to get it done.

Warm Springs Dental are crooks…read more I had an appointment in March, so I emailed them in February and asked them if I had valid insurance with them. They replied in writing that I do have coverage, so I went to the appointment. Now a week after the appointment, they call me out of the blue and tell me that my insurance ended last December, even though they admit they told me it was still valid in February, and they are not offering any adjustments or assistance even though it was their error. They also spoke to my former insurance on the phone and made some insulting and belittling comments about me.

The root canal on the molar is still in tact with no infections, and solid in the bone. My husband has gone to this office as well and was very pleased with the level of care and how good Dr.Walker really is at what he does. Dr. Walker is a specialist, and he has the expertise in this type of therapy which he has mastered. Fast forward to now and recently Dr.Walkers office went out of their way for my family again on an emergency basis with professionalism,tact, and the best hands for endodontics one could ask for. I went to Dr. Walker for an evaluation. Sitting down in the chair I noticed that there was no…read morecomputer screen present. I was disappointed that a modern Specialist still uses radiographic film instead of true digital radiography. Dr. Walker did a very thorough examination and the diagnoses was (quote): "Irreversible Pulpitis". I was advised to coordinate with a dentist for the crown placement after the root canal procedure. I also was shown the tiny film of my tooth but I could not tell anything from it. I also consulted another Edodontist in Portland, this Endodontist concluded (quote): "No endodontic treatment indicated". Since discomfort was still present I went to a third Endodontist who uses digital imaging on a very large screen. Again: No root canal at this time was recommended. The real reason for my discomfort was found, I consulted a new General Dentist and more digital x-rays where taken. It is now two years later and there is still no indication that I ever needed a root canal. I'm not questioning Dr. Walkers capability to perform a first rate procedure, I just consider myself lucky to have been somewhat suspicious and avoided a not needed root canal procedure. It is confusing to me as a patient to understand why Dr. Walker wanted to do a root canal and two Endodontists plus a Dentist saw no reason for it. I would recommend to anyone, if it's not a clear cut case, get more than just one opinion to make sure you really need a root canal. As of the cost for each Endodontists Evaluation: Dr. Walker: $ 283.00, the other two Endodontists $ 148.00 and $ 149.00 (all included x-rays).

He and his staff are very laid back and personable. The front desk staff is quite thorough and had to search for openings on their packed schedule. Dr. Tran is very gentle. It doesn't hurt at all. He uses new techniques, tools and treatments for preventing dental problems before they happen. I wished that I found him sooner. Upon my first check out, the front desk staff gave me a choice of a black or canvas tote bag with their logo on it (no words - except discretely on the inside) I'm loving Dr. Tran being my new dentist.
