I would give ZERO stars if I could. Condescending, talking "Baby talk" to me, telling me, "I'm special". I was given dental advice from the office secretary, which they think is just fine, cuz they've sat at the desk for 5 years. I was referred from my usual dentist because they did not have room for me and my emergency. Horrendous customer service. Maybe it's a blessing the office staff and manager are so rude and mean. I may have dodged a painful, incompetent and drawn out dental experience. Please look elsewhere for your dental care!
Below is the PROFESSIONAL and useful response from Brock B. at Dr Boyd's Clinic. I wonder if he is aware of how his staff deals with the public?
I see how you conveniently forgot to mention your behavior that sparked the office throwing you out. How about sassing the "secretary" on the phone (Dr. Boyd wants the office staff to make sure patients are well informed of their treatment)? How about mimicking the office manager in ironically a "baby" way? No one baby talked you, you were rude, questioned everything to an outrageous extent, didn't listen to a word, and was just there to cause problems. Though I'm sure this isn't your first experience like this."
Below is my response to his clinic. I am so sorry this communication has been reduced to name calling. How I wish this experience could have been different. I am not used to getting medical advice from clerical staff...
Wow!
Further abuse from someone that wasn't even there. A quick glance at your Yelp reviews shows I see I am not the only one to be treated so rudely by staff. Elke told me I was "special" (Her words, verbatim). There is not paper work that pertains to referrals from Kaiser patients. She was asking me to sign documents that are not correct for Kaiser referrals, because the referrals are "special", once again, her words. I was also asked by Elke for written proof of my copays. I came into the office in fine spirits, filled out the first two pages of documents as directed by the office staff, but was not comfortable signing documents that are NOT correct and could potentially obligate me for $1000's of dollars in medical bills. . Maybe you should not accept Kaiser referrals until the office has had time to write documents that are appropriate for us "special" folks. It is also NOT customary for the secretaries to give medical advice, even if they have been sitting by the phone for 5 years. They are not trained medical professionals. If a patient acts on the advice given by the clerical staff and there is an issue, I hope you are prepared for a possible lawsuit.I have discussed this with Kyra, the manager of the Eastmoreland Kaiser Dental Office. She said this is not customary. I find your response quite telling, as well as a rude and unprofessional response. I think your response is helpful for others trying to pick a dentist/periodontist. read more
