I had 10 teeth removed February 12th, 2026. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This place is incredible. The staff, Dr. Langford, and their oral surgeon Dr. Burg[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. He also administered the sedation via IV. I felt no pain during the extractions and they also installed implants for the 1st stage after the extractions. Also, they made a bridge flipper for the front and side teeth so I have my smile back. I had pain for a few hours after the novacain wore off. The pain pills managed it and by evening I felt 90% good. No swelling either. This practice has rapidly declined over the last 6 months with the addition of Dr. Dixon. None of the previous dental hygienists nor front desk staff remain and the replacements lack both experience and tact. On my last two visits I sat in the chair for 30-45 minutes before leaving without being seen. Switch insurance carriers and asked if they accept my new insurance well ahead of my apt. They said they do accept it, but what they failed to inform me is it was out of network. I was left with bill 100+ dollar bill. I emailed in to cancel future appointments and inform them of the issue, no response back. Poor customer service overall. read more

I've gone to Alder Dental for nearly 10 years and really loved the last dentist, Dr. Grady (also loved Dr. Streiff before her). [[HIGHLIGHT]]I'm an anxious patient and she and her team were really great at making me feel at ease during my visits.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There is a new dentist in the office now (Dr. Grady is at another practice) - I came in for a cleaning and left shaking with anger. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The new dentist didn't introduce herself when she came in after the hygienist finished, she basically just started in, talking like I wasn't there about how terrible my teeth and gums were, everything I needed done[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] (last time I was in I was told there a tooth they wanted to keep an eye on, but that was it), and [[HIGHLIGHT]]then when she asked how my brushing/flossing were, I exasperatedly said, "I brush and floss!" To which she cut me off and said, "Excuse me, I'm not asking you, can you please let her (hygienist) speak?"[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Then she got annoyed at me because I couldn't open my mouth as wide as she wanted, and finished by telling me the mountains of work I'd need to fix everything.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] She left, I told the hygienist I wanted to leave, and when she said, "I'm guessing you don't want an estimate for the work?" I told her she was correct. I will never go back to Alder Dental again. read more

I was a patient with Dr. Streiff for over 30 years. We started at Kaiser together and I was one of his first patients when he opened Alder Dental. Unfortunately after the pandemic he decided to retire. He's sold his practice to Geoffrey Berg and associates. They have several offices in the Albany, Corvallis area. The first dentist they brought in was Dr. Grady. Unfortunately I had some serious dental work that needed to be taken care of that resulted in implants. $15,000 later and my insurance covered none of it. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The staff has been a revolving door.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I came in a few months ago for my dental cleaning and noticed that Dr. Grady's name was off the door and Dr. Katheryn Dixon's name was on the door. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I was due for an exam that day and I was never notified that my dentist had changed.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]From the moment she walked in the room she was abrasive rude and very impersonal. I'm not sure she even introduced herself to me.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]She began talking about my teeth to the assistant never including me in the conversation.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]When I tried to speak with her that I had had an autoimmune blood disease in my younger years and it really affected the health of my teeth, she abruptly said I don't know what that is...I have no idea what you're talking about.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] She proceeded to critique all of the work that had been done in my mouth by Dr. Streiff, Dr Berg and Dr. Grady. When I left I had a treatment plan for over $8000. To make a long story short one of my implants failed because a bone graft was not done. I have had six weeks of absolutely miserable infection, pain and horrible interactions with Dr. Dixon. She has left me in the waiting room for 40 minutes at a time and then came in and told me she doesn't have time to help me, I need to come back tomorrow. Four weeks ago she took the failed implant out. It was infected and she chose not to give me antibiotics until the day of the surgery. The surgery was expected to be two hours long and it was four hours. As she proceeded she said to me she did not have the right tools I might need to come back and start all over next week. I told her that wasn't an option I have taken time off of work to take care of this. She used some kind of drill and finally got it out. She also made a retainer and told me I needed to wear it 24 hours a day for at least a year. [[HIGHLIGHT]]She removed the stitches last week and was yelling at me, rude and unprofessional.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] She told me I needed to come back again this week to take the patch off. That was it. The retainer broke Saturday night, I started reading her reviews. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I have reached out to Dr Berg one of the owners of the office. I have received no response.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] On Monday I found a new dentisT, Dr Hadi Nouredine. I saw him yesterday and his office was so loving and kind and so was he. They listened to my story, looked at what was going on and said oh my heavens you've been through so much. Don't worry we're here to take care of you. I was also told the retainer was absolutely unnecessary because my implant is in the back of my mouth. This has been a horrific experience for me. Lack of sleep, stress, pain, financial hardship. I don't usually write reviews, but if this saves somebody from having to deal with Dr. Dixon then I'm happy that no one has to endure this kind of unprofessionalism and unkindness read more

I don't recommend this dental practice. They are consistently late starting appointments, and cancel appointments that have been on the books for over two months at the last minute. They have had two excellent dentists who left in succession, so it must be that the internal experience of employees there is as frustrating as that of customers. The practice appears to be in a downward spiral. read more

Was coming here for 8 years and regrettfully decided to get invisiline here with a part time dentist who didn't tell me my teeth wouldn't be straight after my braces, gaslit me when the treatment was done and fucking shaved my lower teeth without telling me before my treatment started he was going to do that. The whole new staff is garbage. I really want to sue them for effing my teeth. I'm sad the previous professional staff is gone. They were warm and inviting, didn't waste my time and I got to watch a movie during my exam and cleaning. I am thrilled to be able to recommend Dr. David Streiff and Alder Dental Group. A while back, I had a crown come loose. I didn't have a dentist at the time, so I visited Dr. Streiff to have it fixed. Dr. Streiff was very thorough, gentle, and patient. As someone with fibromyalgia, I am very aware that even the smallest discomfort can bring on greater pain. Something as simple as going to the dentist to have a crown glued back on can trigger a flare up of my fibromyalgia--all-over body pain and several days of recovery. Finding a dentist who is sensitive to this has been difficult for me. As Dr. Streiff and I discussed the options for resetting my crown, I was thrilled when he offered to numb my tooth. For many, this may seem like a small thing, for me it was a life-saver! I could be confident that I wouldn't end up in a flare after such a simple visit. I've since seen Dr. Streiff for all of my dental care, and every visit has been as great as the first one. His staff is fabulous, friendly, caring, and gentle. I've been with Alder Dental since nearly their inception. As a patient with teeth sensitivity, and a myriad of other ongoing teeth and jaw issues I've long been a "nervous" client. Atsuko is incredibly gentle, and walks me through my progress. I see them every 6 months despite my having moved to Hawaii!!! YES, you understand that correctly, I've found my dentist for life! The trip to Alder Dental from Hawaii is well worth the effort....and they kindly work with my ever changing schedule. Additionally, the special touches (TV, lavender neck pillow) help to create a warm environment. They have offered me warm neck pillows and let you watch DVDs during your appointment, which is a great way to make the time go quickly.
