Also, if you are a union member, be very careful with giving them the voucher,As they don't know, the policies of how to Properly enforce them. as a side note, they say they have to have you have a "mandatory"retina scan for an additional $50 that is their upsell says the doctor won't see you without it, which brings me to the next topic. There is no physical doctor in this location. It's all via the comfort of her own home via video. Any questions that you have afterwards? The receptionist has to text a doctor and have to wait for a response. Another note once you are picking out glasses,Although the selection is not new, they do have a lot NONE have prices on it. So if you have a question about 12 classes, she has to send pictures to the doctor and wait to get a response back on the prices. We went on the saturday, which they are supposed to open at ten in the morning and waited for the girl to arrive in front of the location until about ten twenty six when she finally showed up. When these things were brought up to the attention of *EMILY* the office administrator instead of taking a with a grain of salt,she stated that she does not want to deal with us as clients because she did not appreciate the constructive criticism, which in all businesses, is imperative for growth. WARNING - DO NOT SHOP HERE!!! Went into Provision (195.5 Newark Ave, JC) to have a new prescription filled for my 14 year old son. Not the most pleasant staff or the swiftest but they assured me that they could fulfill our prescription and when ready would be able to fit the lenses in to his existing frames in around 30 minutes. They would call me when the lenses were ready and we could stop by. During this initial visit they mentioned how bad the previous owner (Optometrx) of this location was and how the lenses he used were poor quality! - should have been a red flag because we used Optometrx a number of times in the past and the owner was terrific and service exceptional! We were called on the afternoon of Saturday April 27th that the lenses were ready and if we got there before 6pm they could fit them into my sons frames. Unfortunately we were out of town on so I arranged to leave work a little early the following Monday (29th) to go with my son to the store. When I got there I was told that they could no longer put the lenses in the frames because "they" (apparently the owner it turns out) had taken "the machine" away and now they would need to send his current glasses away to have the new lenses fitted!! As our son needs his glasses to see (yeah really) and we bought the new lens from them because they said they could fit the new ones while we waited, I told them that wasn't an option. On Saturday May 4th I returned and explained the issue to the owner (photo below). In short, I was told I was rude and she flatly refused to refund our $250 (although we could have a store credit?!) and if we wanted the lenses fitted they would have to send them away! The owner refused to give me her name or further information about the store when I asked and was frankly obnoxious. We're pursuing the company through our credit card and if that fails through Small Claims Court. Dropped by the store to have my eyes checked, the Dr. Tong was excellent. Checked my eyes with state of the are equipment. Selecting eye ware was great with multiple selections of about a least 100 designer brands. Walked out with with an excellent pair. Walking in, you can immediately tell that this is different from all the other "eye" places I've been to. For starters, it gave me that "Apple Store" feeling and I meant that in a very good way. It's very inviting, not intimidating. The people there, they treat you like they already know you. The feeling that they genuinely care. I guess it's hard to really express what I'm trying to say, but I bet once you go there, you'll be like "yeah, I get now what that guy from yelp was saying".
