5 stars, Hands Down I don't know what these negative reviewers are talking about. They're all 3-10 yrs old and since this practice has multiple locations, maybe they're talking about locations in Hudson County back in the day. I've always gone to the Millburn office and have never had any of these problems. Sometimes there's a bit of a wait, but these doctors spend a lot of time with their patients and it's reasonable they might get backed up especially at the end of the day. They absolutely do NOT take walk-ins at the Millburn office, and since the reviews here about walk-ins are so old, maybe they've since discontinued that practice at the other locations. I've been seeing Dr Walsman for years, and he is top-notch. Very well-credentialed and experienced, but can explain complicated things in a very accessible way. He is also a very nice person and genuinely cares about his patients. I lived and worked in NYC for 15 years and went to a highly rated ophthalmologist and had specialty care a cataract surgery at New York Eye & Ear Infirmary. Dr Walsman outshines them all. He's operated on my eyes twice already (cataract, and cataract correction of the eye I had done on NYC). The difference was night and day. For both medical and surgical eye care, I cannot recommend Dr Walsman highly enough. read more

Impressive: the retina camera -no more need to dilate! Needs work- This 2-hour experience needs streamlining. No wonder tho kids are screaming. The receptionist had old information I never gave her -grandfathered from the new conglomerate that bought out the doctors? Rather than have me fill out 6 pages of forms, send me links to forms ahead of time please and let me fill them out on my computer. Get another doctor in here to help!!! read more

I've brought my client here for years to have his eyes checked. Standard run at this clinic - check in, wait, see doctor - Dr. Greenfield, who is nice. The receptionists are ok too. Making appointments is simple as is the follow ups. My most recent visit though the wait was horrible. We waited, waited and waited then my client goes in, comes back and we wait some more. An annual eye exam, where the result is their eye sight is fine should not take that long and to me is unacceptable. The waiting room was packed but what annoyed me were there were some marketers coming in likely trying to sell some medical product and one of the doctors was talking to them about the products while there was a huge wait. I don't like that at all. read more

This place is the worst! I have been seeing Dr. Wagner for years, and I had never had any issues until he came here. It is IMPOSSIBLE to get an appointment, and now I don't know what to do! Nobody from the office answers the phone or returns my messages. I don't even know how to get my health records so that I can pass them along to a new doctor outside of the practice. They don't answer calls or online requests for appointments. Save yourself the headache and find a doctor elsewhere. I am considering filing a complaint with the state health board. The two times I have been here (which is not nearly enough as I haven't been able to book an appointment for over a year), the wait has been atrocious. Their contact and scheduling system needs to change ASAP. read more

A truly terrible place to get anything done, please stay away to save yourself frustration and $$. We went there for ortho-k lenses for my child, and the experience has been beyond bad. First, the office *rarely* returns your calls. On most issues, if you leave a message, you might get a response on the 5th message, or maybe it's the 7th. It's hard to say since I've lost count over the many weeks of not having received any responses. And the reason you have to leave a message in the first place? That's right, no one picks up. Onto the $$. If you receive any estimates on out of pocket expenses, be sure to at least double the amount. I'm still in the middle of my ordeal with Hudson Eye, so tripling it may be a better bet. Of course, if you have any questions about the bill, "That's what the insurance company says". And then the truly obscene. The doctor that originally helped my child left their practice. First, they told me we would have to work with another doctor in their practice. Then they say the practice no longer deals with ortho-k lenses and cannot help with ordering replacement lenses. It's either incompetence or a complete refusal to help, or a revolting cocktail of both. I've been dealing with this office for approx 5 months - a bunch of $$ blown, no lenses, no help. This is a review of their optical business rather than their practice. I came in to get a replacement lense for my glasses and was given the worst service I have ever received in any establishment, the manager I assumed in charge acted if she was doing me a favor. I asked for an estimate on a lense replacement with existing frames and how much it would cost with insurance and her attitude was atrocious. They ended up quoting an exorbitant amount even with in network coverage, and then they started making excuses on the type of lense which didn't make sense. I just asked for a refund to avoid doing business with this establishment. Never again. read more

Should have paid attention to the previous reviews, though I came here on the recommendation of an acquaintance. The optometrist took me more than an hour late for my appointment. Appointment was fine. I took my previous glasses in (they tested them to find the previous prescription). Doctor recommended progressive lenses (fine). Took the prescription to the optical shop in the front - because it's there, and they carry a decent set of frames. No issues ordering the glasses (regular and sunglasses) except that it took about an hour, and I was already an hour late from waiting at the doctor's office. When the glasses came in, they called me, and I went in to pick them up. The first time, I waited about 30 min with my kids in tow before I realized that the woman behind the desk was going to take her time with the other people in front of me and that I might be waiting another hour or more. I left and came back, and waited bout 30 min before I was helped. She gave me the glasses and a receipt; she did fit them for me and gave me a mini-lecture about how progressives are different and take some getting used to but that they would change my life. I followed her advice to try wearing them for a few days - and they gave me headaches. I finally figured out that one of the lenses is a bad prescription - my vision is far worse, and fuzzy, with the glasses on than off - and I'm back to wearing my old glasses, which still make the world a clearer place but don't help me read. I've tried to find time to take them back, but I work during the day, and their hours aren't posted on their website. I just stoped by on a Saturday to find them closed, with only a number to call to find out their Sat hours. No idea whether the doctor gave me the wrong prescription or whether the optician made the glasses incorrectly. Based on my experience so far, I am not expecting them to be helpful in figuring this out. SKIP THIS PLACE AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. read more

This is the worst doctors office! Stay away! It took 3 calls for me to even get a person on the phone to make an appointment. I ignored my little voice that said, "Just go to the place farther away!" When I went for my appointment, the doctor was awful. His remedy for getting me out of glasses was to just take them off when I'm not working. I suggested the ultimate solution we went with which seemed to irritate him. Today I went back for my contact lens fitting and after 45 minutes of waiting was told they were never ordered and I had to come back in 2 weeks. When I said that didn't work for me I was told the manager, Yadira, would absolutely, definitely, call me later today. She never did, shocking. Will I ever get my contacts? read more

I have been seeing Dr Greenfield for many years now n I have to say he is the best. He's genuinely concerned about your issues , resolves the problem, he takes his time with you and he doesn't rush you out of the office, and listens to all your concerns. Couldn't of picked a better doctor. I don't know what I'll do if he ever retires! read more

I'm so surprised at how profoundly unkind and unprofessional Dr Joanna Pruzon was during my visit. Everything the other reviews said about the medical staff is accurate - they are brusque and awful. But Dr Pruzon's lack of kindness and warmth is just...beyond comprehension. Also, she didn't wash her hands or use gloves before touching my face and eyes. Her medical assistant (or at least I assume it was her medical assistant? I was never introduced to her and she was just in the room during the exam) didn't wash her hands or use gloves either. What a waste of time and money. I would never ever visit this practice again. read more

The worst experience I've ever had with a doctor's office. The receptionists are rude and short-tempered. It is almost impossible to get ahold of anyone in the Millburn office, they never responded to my voicemail and I had to call repeatedly throughout the day before anyone would pick up. When they did answer, I was told they were busy and would call back, but never did. Don't waste your time with this place. read more
