    Fettucine Alfredo

I went to Provino's years ago and although I couldn't remember exactly what I ordered, I remembered that I liked it. My friend had a birthday dinner here, so I had the opportunity to come back. Ambiance was okay, not much natural light and pretty dim in there. However there was alot of space for my friend's large party and many seating options. I thought that for birthdays, you get a free meal but that's somewhat true. There are I think two options (or one? I don't remember exactly) for a free birthday meal or $14.50 off of any of the entrees. So not any free meal off the menu. The garlic bread rolls were delicious. They tasted very flavorful, savory, and had the perfect garlic taste to them. The buttery garlic sauce leftover at the bottom of the bread roll bowl was amazing. The salad came after and it was delicious, it tasted fresh. I especially liked the beets in there too. For my entree, I ordered the fettucine alfredo. Looking back at it now, I should've added some broccoli or grilled chicken. Anyways, I felt like my entree was just okay. It wasn't that flavorful, or amazing. It was just alright to me. Maybe it was also just my entree choice, but it was just very plain and bland. Service was okay. For me, I felt like the price didn't correlate with the quality of food I ordered. I don't know if I would come here again just because it felt overpriced. The salad and garlic bread rolls started on a high but the night ended on a low. It was pretty disappointing.

Great food + birthday deal! It had been a while since my husband and I had been to Provino's - we moved out of the southeast and now we're back, so we decided to stop in for a blast from the past. Plus, we remembered how good the birthday deal was, so we ended up going on my birthday. Provino's was fairly busy on a Wednesday night, but we were seated immediately when we showed up at 7:00. Our waiter was slow to serve us because of how busy they were, but once he realized that we hadn't been served, he was quick to get us garlic rolls, salad, and drinks. I forgot how good the garlic rolls and the salad were!! For food, I ordered the Chicken Ripieno and my husband got the Sausage & Peppers. We were both very satisfied with our orders. For dessert, they gave me free spumoni with a birthday candle - such a nice touch! Definitely come here for your birthday or any day! Great spot.

Meatballs in meat sauce. Where is the meat sauce?

My family has been coming to Provino's since it opened in the early 1989's. The last several years service and food has declined. Once John retired it has really gone down. Tonight our family went to celebrate a birthday. We had to beg to get salads and rolls. The food took forever and the server was so odd and awkward. He was not a new server and has been there for a long time. I'm sure he is a fine person but maybe needs training or a career change. So sad to see a great place go down so quickly. New leadership needed for sure.

I struggled with my rating because it's more like 3.5 than 3. This place tries to be upscale but misses the mark in my opinion. The atmosphere is fine, a little outdated but not bad. The service was good, nothing great. I had the chicken Parmesan with a side of fettuccine Alfredo, both were really good! Definitely a step above the OG, chain Italian, but everything else was subpar. Appetizers were below average as was the bread. Without the main course this would be a 2 star experience but the Chicken Parmesan and Alfredo were both very good. I'd go back but would stay away from the apps to save a little money because it was a little more expensive than I would like.

Absolutely fantastic! Best bread! Best salad! Best lasagna! Best prices! Good wine and prices! Best service! I can't say enough about how good our whole experience was and we cannot wait to go back!

The salad was terrible, bread was plain. My plate looked like very little effort looked into washing it but the food inside tasted great. The waiter was a bit rude, but lighting was PERFECT #AutismApproved

I used to frequent this Italian restaurant in college from 1998 to 2002. It is a delicious restaurant that serves great Italian food! The best part is enjoying a free birthday meal on your birthday when you show your ID. They also have a great selection of wine! The shrimp pasta dish was delicious and only $14!

We went on a Monday night and it was pretty crowded but we were seated quickly. They give each table a big plate of bread with butter, which was delicious and a nice treat. I ordered the arancini to start with. I love arancini, and so many restaurants in Atlanta put meat in them. These were SO good, maybe my favorite arancini that I've had recently. Good ratio of risotto to cheese and nice and crispy. The sauce that came with them was really good too. I wish you got more for the cost, but it was comparable to every restaurant. I ordered the Pomodoro al Vegetariana but subbed penne for the spaghetti (just not a fan lol). The pasta was really good and perfectly cooked. The sauce was maybe a little too garlicky? There was a good ratio of pasta to veggies. I don't like mushrooms but they blended in enough that I could eat them. My gf got the Penne Toscana because she's allergic to garlic, so this was one of the few things she could eat. (Side note, one of the other local Italian restaurants we called basically said there was nothing she'd be able to eat there.) Some of the artichoke pieces were really chewy and the dish was very oily, otherwise she enjoyed it. The inside is very nice, cozy and not stuffy. Our waitress was super sweet.

Really enjoyed co-owner Jake stopping by for a discourse on wine and music and the correlation between the two. The guy is knowledgeable and welcoming. 2 Star -- My Lawyer Friend and I Are Considering This a Chargeable Offense…read moreIn the legal world, there's a concept called "misrepresentation." My attorney dining companion will tell you it applies here. I've eaten lasagna on three continents. I've never once feared it. Until now. What arrived at our table was, generously speaking, a flat pancake wearing a cheese disguise -- topped with shredded beef that seemed just as confused about its life choices as the chef who plated it. Green? Green. I didn't order a lawn clipping casserole. I ordered lasagna -- the cornerstone dish, the anchor of any Italian menu worth its salt (of which this dish also needed more). Lasagna is not a canvas for creativity. It is a covenant. A sacred agreement between a restaurant and its guests that says: we know what we're doing here. This dish broke that covenant, shredded it, and apparently used it as a garnish. My recommendation? Locate the nearest Italian grandmother. Apologize to her. Take notes. Start over.

Theirs is always excellent! We had a pitcher of cider sangrias and Cesar salads as well. Everything tasted amazing. So why four stars? Two reasons.... First, two pieces of plastic in my carbonara. I did not say anything due to the second reason. Server didn't seem to be too keen on giving us top notch service. We have taken note that when we are a table of four, they always give us the rundown of the nightly specials. In. Great. Detail. Every time it is just the Husband and I? Nada. Nothing. Not even an introduction by the server this time. It's not the same server either. Happens with whomever we have. Seems to be something that they need to work on at this restaurant. We love this place! Watchman (our server) did a great job when it came to serving the food. But I should not have to ask about the specials nor ask for his name. We always tip more than expected, but when will servers learn that going above and beyond will get them above and beyond the expected tip? Hopefully something changes before our next visit to Chattanooga.

Showed up about 8:30 PM, had to wait for a table because the place was so incredibly dirty. The whole place looks "worn out"and little remains of its once elegant demeanor. The wait staff was young and more interested in horsing around with each other than taking care of diners. Paid $12 for 4 ounces of a very sour (!) Prosecco with a squirt of blackberry syrup at the bottom, but no straw to get to it. The fried raviolis were just cheese-filled and tasted of old oil. The salad contest consisted of whole leaves of iceberg lettuce, four slices of beets and six garbanzos. (This is for two people.) the salad dressing tasted of nothing but oil. The garlic rolls, for which I had raved to my wife, came out hard cold and stale. I ate a couple anyway thinking that the next batch would be fresh, but was told when I asked for more that they were "out." Since this was formerly a highlight of the Provino's experience this hit hard. My wife's entrée tasted burnt as as the only flavor and she refused to eat it. My eggplant Parmesan was cold inside and gelatinous, although the plate was warm.
