I have mixed emotions about this one. I would say that it's average at best. The pies are good size. Their medium is the size of some other shops large. The crust is crispy but tasteless...with a not so great "premade" feel to it, which is reminiscent of middle school pizza. Can't really form an opinion about the sauce because it was hard to identify. There was such little sauce that people were pulling up the cheese to see if there was any underneath. Topping were "ok"...any less would have slipped them into the "skimpy" category. Adding 3 toppings to a large pie will increase your total price by about $10. For a pizza to be labeled "great", it has to check more than a few boxes. This didn't. Crust - no sauce - no Toppings - ok Value - no Overall, the experience was "less than memorable". A return trip isn't likely. read more

Called for an order at 6:30 9/19/26 and we were told they could not take our order because they were too busy and to call back later.. What terrible custome service I would never ever recommend them because of the way they told us they did not want our business, maybe its because it was for delivery in Newtown Square.. please please read and do not give them any business because t hey are too busy. read more

Very much ok. The pizza is good, not too saucy and a thin crust, like I like. The large was also huge. The cheesesteak egg rolls are mediocre, the meat was bland and a little chewier than other places make them. I also got the wrong dressing for our garden salad but all in all a decent takeout experience. read more

This is a great local pizzeria. They have wonderful pizzas and service. They do a lot of business and offer delivery. We often get their pizzas sent over to the baseball field. It's like a boardwalk pie! read more

Great service, food and super clean. The specials are excellent. Pizzas are really good as well. If you have not tried I'm sure you will agree after. read more

I got the mushroom cheesesteak with caramelized onions, mushrooms and american cheese. It came on a seeded roll. I wish today was the day I started asking where they got their rolls because I really liked this roll. It added flavor, had a crust, was light and easy to chew. You could see the onions and mushrooms spent time on the grill with the meat. Everything worked together and had a great flavor. My 2 concerns, not really concerns, more 2 things that keep this from being a very top cheesesteak. 1. The cheese, the cheese is melted through pretty well but it looks like it was put on top of the meat while on the grill and then flipped into the roll. I would love a better cheese melt. 2. More meat, this is a very good cheesesteak and it was under $10. I was eating mostly roll at ends. read more

Beautiful 67 degree day in November, stopped at Providence Pizzeria to order lunch for a picnic in Ridley Creek State Park. Previous reviews were spot on, the place is very clean! Presentation of displayed pizza's was very attractive. Ordered a large pizza with half pepperoni. Pizza is authentic thin, crispy crust. Good tasty cheese, with flavorful pepperoni. Very pleasant and accommodating with providing plates and napkins for a picnic. Will definitely add Providence Pizzeria as a go to stop. read more

Stopped by for a meatball sandwich last week. It was a lot of bread and not a lot of meatball. Skimpiest I've ever had. Won't return.

Ordered cheese Steak, nothing special.....charged me $12.00. Are you kidding me? Why are these businesses trying to make back their covid losses on the backs of people who came back to patronize them. WONT BE GETTING ANOTHER $12.00 FROM ME. Go elsewhere for that sandwich, probably get a better one then here. read more

I can appreciate how busy they get on a Friday evening but I don't like being lied to... ordered two pizzss around 4:30 for a 5:30 pick up and showed up at 5:29 Told them I was picking up and was told my order would be another couple minutes. It's almost 6:PM and still waiting. They should have at least been honest. No excuse! read more

Delivery is quick and they comply with your special requests. I had an eggplant parmesan sandwich that was out of this world!!

Used to be La Locanda to go, it's on the corner of Providence and Rt 3 with a nice little parking lot. Be careful pulling out, those cars are moving fast! They bake the bread for La Locanda across the street. Huge yummy rolls, I need to buy one. So far I've only had a cheesesteak here, which was fantastic. They use a slightly seeded roll, which I don't care for, but the steak itself was top notch. Finely chopped meat with cheese in every bite. Everyone was masked, and as their predecessor, it is to go only. read more

I've been getting takeout from Providence on occasion, today ordered a Mediterranean spinach salad with added shrimp. The salad looked great when I got home, but 20$ for a salad with 4 small shrimp. Shame on them for charging that. Not going back. read more

Best place in Edgemont, Excellent food no complaints will most definitely be ordered again

First time ordering, food is average not worth the hyped up prices. We ordered a large plain and a Caesar salad. The pizza was good just had a very thin layer of sauce little to none. So if this is the normal amount of sauce on pizzas for this place I'd recommend ordering extra sauce for a decent amount. Salad was good, read more

Walked in to get my order, nobody was wearing a mask. I asked why is nobody wearing one, got an answer of "yeah yeah". Clearly you do not care about the safety of your customers or staff. If you are lazy enough to not wear a mask I wonder what other safety measures are even taken in regards to food safety and quality. It's places like this that are the reason other businesses (who are trying to abide by cdc guidelines) stay open. Obviously you won't care I'm one person I get it, but I'm definitely not coming back again or recommending anyone here. Oh would also like to mention the food is good, I honestly hate to shit on a small business, but you didn't even give me everything in my order. Thanks a lot! read more

Ordered for first time and pizza was excellent. Crust was crisp and not greasy which is something I like. I asked for a specific order with one and they got it right. Will def be my go to spot! read more

We've order their pizza and wings a few times and have never been disappointed. The staff is always friendly.

Linguine and clams were horrible! Linguine with a can of clams and what looked like dishwater...no garlic, no parsley, no nothing! So disappointed! read more

This is the second time in a row that we went to Providence Pizza and got the wrong order...no apology...no attempt on their part to correct the situation. My husband is far too nice to make any demands and didn't want to wait another hour, so once again we have a $20 pizza we can't eat. Please Providence Pizza, review the orders so that customers get what they actually asked for. I know that we will not be going back for a third time. read more

Stopped with my young son who has a gluten allergy and find out that have gluten free pizza. We were only looking for a quick lunch so they gave him ham and cheese roll up. I had a slice of cheesestake pizza that was filling and delicious. The place is extremely clean which is very important to me. The gentleman working the counter was very friendly and accommodating. Had a nice conversation with the owners mother. They are a local Marple family. With their food and friendly service I'm sure they will be a fixture for many years to come. read more

They were not wearing masks while making the food!!,! Would have given a very good rating if they were!

When going to a place with pizza in the name, get the pizza. You won't be disappointed. Their slices are a generous size, the cheese is ample, the sauce is good, and crust is excellent. We were pleasantly surprised for such a small place. Definitely worth the stop!! read more

Pizza seemed to be made on a tastless pre made dough with tastless sauce and cheese. First time we ordered, last time.

I was just charged $18.00 for a tuna salad. I asked the young lady why it was so expensive and she said because I added egg and bacon. You try and support local businesses and this is what you get. I will never go back there again. read more

Some of the worst French fries I have ever had. Couldn't believe how dry and disgusting they were. Waited way too long for a pretty small order but everything else was fine. read more

We frequently get their pizza and love it. But we've also tried the wings, salads, and burgers. Everything has been great. Everything always shows up hot and delicious. Plus the delivery drivers have had a mask on every time they pull up to the house. Online ordering is also easy and a plus! read more

Changed hands, AGAIN! Pizzas are good, and one of the few places that STILL toss their own crust, not the pre-made cardboard-like disks other places are using now. Ordered the lasagna the other night, it was basically slop, didn't resemble lasagna at all, was just a mess of noodles, way to much cheese, and ground beef poured into the aluminum pan it came in. After a few bites it went right into the trash, plus they forgot the salad. Didn't feel like cooking that night but should have just raided my frig and freezer and cooked instead. read more

This spot us to be our take out go to when it was La Locanda II Go. We figured it wouldn't be bad and gave Providence a shot and boy are we disappointed. We ordered 2 pasta dishes which use to be delicious and flavorful. The sauce was watered down in the penne in vodka and would have tasted better from a jar you buy at the store. Was supposed to come with garlic knots...we got half a seeded long roll. Place looks nice but the food is boring and far from what it use to be. I'd go else where. read more
