I am writing this review about Providence Diamond. After reading all the previous reviews, and there are many of them, I believe 3.5 speaks for itself and is generous, at best! After spending over $20,000 in a period of three weeks, I will just say this: buyer beware. If you are in the market to buy a Rolex, I wouldn't recommend dealing with Joe B. because you won't get a call during the waiting period even if you leave a message for him to call you. I had to talk to the manager to get the status of the arrival of the Rolex. I finally did get the call that the watch was in. After I put that Watch on my wrist, Joe was gone, never called to follow up or to see if I was enjoying my watch or if there were any problems! Bottom line; l bought my next Rolex in Boston on the recommendation of a friend that had the same experience as mine at Providence Diamond! read more

Walter took his time to sit me down, show me multiple Rolex options, and explain to me the process behind purchasing a Rolex. Me and my wife found Walter extremely knowledgeable as he even gave us a history lesson around Rolex and time pieces in general. My poor rating is due to the fact that the older gentleman helping us literally acted as if we didn't matter and he had better things to do. We came in to look at wedding bands (bundle of cash in my fiancé's pocket by the way, ready to spend) and this older gentleman who HAD to have seen us standing there waiting to be helped finally asks us if we need help. First, I let him know that my engagement ring (size 5) is a bit big, so I'm unsure of my size. He sizes me rather quickly and determines I'm a 3.75. He then hands us a display of rings and says "here, try these out" while he goes and helps a different couple (who were already being helped by another associate...) He didn't bother to ask what I was looking for, which was a band that shaped around my engagement ring diamond. The bands he just left us with were plain and straight. So after a few minutes of waiting, he finally comes back over and I tell him what I'm looking for. He then grabs a ring that has way too much of a curve in it... I tell him no, it needs to hug the diamond with no gaps... he brings another over that barely has a curve... I say no... he then goes "ok well, we'll have to custom make one". I find that hard to believe there were only TWO curved bands in the whole joint. At this point, I can tell he's totally not interested in making a sale with us as he's more focused on the couple next to us (different couple this time, again who already has an associate helping them). He quotes a custom made ring and we tell him we'll be back tomorrow. Another lovely woman comes and takes over to offer other options (finally- maybe she could tell that he wasn't doing his job well?) and come to find out... he sized me wrong! I'm actually a 4. She showed me other options that looked great and was way more helpful and friendly. She then helped out my fiancé look at bands for himself. Because of her, I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1. But we definitely will never be going back... (we never went the next day either; no purchases were made). Whoever that gentleman was... learn some people skills. You're losing sales. read more

Brandon is an absolute POS!! He promises and promises and promises but never delivers. At the end he tells you to visit him more often and give him a good reason as to why you want to buy a watch so him and his staff can sit around a table at the end of the month and decide who's more deserving. I don't need him or his staff to tell me I deserve a watch specially when I'm trying to spending $18k+ Don't waste your time going here. Providence Diamond is a complete waste of time. Brandon has completely destroyed the reputation of this place. Brandon is really hurting the place regardless of sales. COVID economy was what it was regardless. The excellent experience began from walking in and being warmly greeted by multiple employees and offered our selection of beverages to promptly being engaged as to what we were looking for and then expertly served increasingly stunning recommendations until we were able to choose the absolutely perfect wedding rings. We worked with Lisa Delfino, and she was wonderful. She has an eye for the exquisite and amazing interpersonal skills. Providence Diamond used to be my go to jeweler as they carry a GREAT selection of David Yurman jewelry. I have purchased many pieces of jewelry here; including 4 David Yurman Rings, A David Yurman Bracelet, 2 or 3 David Yurman necklaces and most recently another David Yurman Bracelet that I gifted to my mom. When I purchased this new bracelet on 10/12/19 the salesperson was really sweet, helpful and patient! However I forgot that I had left a DY ring here for repair in 2016 and in October of 2017 they told me the repair was complete but when I went to pick it up- no repairs had been made and they were supposed to fix it. Frustrating to say the least especially given the amount of business I have done here and the amount of money I spent here!!! So then it became a fight to repair the ring that is appraised around $1200 and they wanted $600 to repair it?!?!?! WHAT?! They were saying it wasn't covered under warranty as it was "Impact Damage". I Understand what Impact damage was but I can assure you this ring just sort of broke to my surprise and dismay as I've never had ANY issues with any other of my David Yurman pieces to date. So as of 10/17 they said they were going to match David Yurman's estimate to repair the ring and here we are 4 years later and the RING was NEVER repaired and they also tried saying I picked the ring up in October of 2017-this is when I was met with a hostile and ignorant attitude. The computer shows that the ring was picked up so I asked for the paperwork showing I had signed for the ring. Then I want to say the rude individual whom was a manager tried saying that I needed the Repair slip to even pick it up. So I asked if he was going to get the piece of paper with my signature that showed I had indeed picked it up and this was when he said it was going to take him DAYS to go through the paper records and that IT WAS GOING TO MATCH the computer records. To my surprise he just walked away and I was left with the two sales associates. The one who initially helped me with purchasing the bracelet and the other individual who helped me with the exchange of the bracelet. I honestly didn't even feel like arguing with them because they never finished fixing a ring that wasn't even a year old - from years ago! As I was walking out the store they suddenly claimed that they found "my ring" and of course the ring was STILL damaged. I said where's the other piece of stone???? They said that was all they had. So ALL THE MONEY I spent at Providence Diamond means NOTHING!!!! They refused to work with David Yurman on repairing the ring. They initially said they would but the work never got done. Now I have a $1200 ring that is completely broken & I'm not paying more than half the price of the ring to fix it. THE less then 2 year old RING SHOULD HAVE BEEN fixed For free end of story. I honestly wish I had known this before spending $800 on a bracelet for my mother! I WILL NEVER EVER buy another item from them ever again! Soooo many other people I know have told me this same story about Their David Yurman items from Providence Jewlery & they also have had awful experiences!!! So now I know & will not be returning. I bet if I contact David Yurman independently they will do more for me then Providence Diamond did! read more

Let me start by saying that the new store is beautiful and the staff I dealt with was very polite. This review is for everyone to learn the lesson that I learned. My 16 year old Rolex (that I had never had cleaned) stopped working and I felt it was better to go to PDC because they are the only authorized Rolex dealer in the state. The hired help (who had a little bit of an attitude) explained the process - it would take about 3 weeks to get an estimate on what it would cost to repair and once I gave the go ahead it would take about 12 weeks to repair. Just 2 weeks later I get email with a $2,200 estimate, including replacing crystal, bezel, hands and crown.... That was a hard NO and I brought it down the st. to another watch repair shop. Yesterday I got their estimate- $600 for a good cleaning and it will take about 3 weeks. The thing that pisses me off, is this place told me that they had a hard time opening the watch because it had NEVER been opened in the 17 years since it had been manufactured. So apparently the $2200 estimate was based on not having even opened the watch. Additionally, he said that the crown, hands and bezel were fine. I may need a new crystal, if it doesn't pass the pressure test when he puts everything back together. Ultimately I guess a luxury watch is like a luxury car. Repairs at the dealer are always more expensive and you gotta take it in for a good cleaning every 7-10 years) I am holding off on reviewing the other place until I get my watch back. read more

I want to highlight the excellent customer service that my wife and I received at this store.  We were interested in Rolex watches and an extremely nice young man named Joe Buzdigian helped us. Joe started chatting about Rolex, and gave us an incredible education of the brand and had us try on a few different models.  We spent about an hour with him and really enjoyed ourselves.  We were offered drinks, and he even gave us a tour of the store's whisky bar, which I also enjoyed.  He cleaned my wife's engagement ring and a diamond ring of mine.  A great experience!  We also met the store's in house Rolex watchmaker, Mitch. Mitch is another great young man with an incredible enthusiasm for watchmaking and horology. He taught us so much about Rolex and other watch brands. It's always a pleasure to just hang out and talk with Mitch about watches. We've been back to the store many times since then, and everytime we come in we're greeted us like old friends. We ultimately bought a Rolex DateJust 31 in Oyster steel and gold with a jubilee bracelet, fluted bezel and champagne dial for my wife.  It's my wife's dream watch and exactly what she wanted. The actual delivery was an experience she'll never forget. Joe made her feel like a million bucks! She hasn't stopped talking about it since we left your store.  I don't think we've ever been treated as well in any retailer as as we were in this store.   We never felt any pressure to purchase, or felt like we were wasting their time.  We've bought a few "luxury" items in our life, and Providence Diamond surpassed all other retailers in the way we were treated. To be honest, I've read a lot of horror stories about the way some Rolex dealers treat their customers, so I was apprehensive when we first walked in.  But all the folks in the store could not have been nicer.  Not just Joe and Mitch, but everyone with whom we interacted including the owner, director and salespeople were welcoming and helpful. If you need a watch, David Yurman bracelet, diamond ring, or any other jewelry, you need to make Providence Diamond your first and last stop. I cannot recommend this store more highly. read more

While shopping for an engagement ring, I asked about purchasing a Rolex Pepsi (while wearing my BLNR). Rolex forbids them to sell above list price, and there is a waitlist usually. The older lady, who seemed like a manager, said she would sell me the next Pepsi that comes in IF I overpaid by the engagement ring by 20k (they had quoted me 14k for the ring, now they wanted 34k). This used to be my favorite all-time jewelry store. They have the kind of jewelry that I like in the brands that I like. But I walked in in the first week of October 2020 and was waited on by a lovely young lady named Victoria who was wearing a mask. I felt safe and comfortable shopping there. Then my significant other who is at high risk for COVID-19 looked around the store and noticed that Victoria was the only one in the store besides the security guard who was wearing a mask. Not one other sales person had a mask on and there were customers who were talking with sales people within 2 to 3 feet of each other and none of them were wearing masks. Mike had to immediately leave the store because it posed such a danger to him. One of the sales people heard me mention that I had to leave the store as well and he went and found a mask and put it on. Victoria went over to the group who were standing together, customers and sales people, and asked them to please put on their masks which they did. Then as I was making my purchase another sales person came from the back room of the store without a mask on. I don't remember seeing any disinfectant. No one was wearing gloves. In this pandemic I have to say that this is the most unsafe I have felt. I will never go back into the store until I can feel safe again. read more

Our experience started with the "happiest day" of my daughter's life. She just graduated from college and we thought a Rolex would be a gift she would have for a lifetime and look down on it and think of the tremendous accomplishment she made and a constant "we are so proud of you, no matter where you life takes you". The day of picking out the Rolex was magical, we were working with Brandon over the phone and he didn't have what was in our budget in the store but he told us not to worry, come in and they can swap out pieces and such. So with process glasses in hand Brandon showed her 3-4 watches that he said he talked to us about and would fit into our budget. These did not. Our original budget was for the 5600 basic Rolex, he has 12K Rolex on his list. I told my husband and he did confirm that these Rolex were indeed over our budget. So we had to have an embarrassing conversation with our daughter, who already fallen in love with a 6700 Rolex. We rationalized it to death. The next step was it wold take months for the watch to come in. This was very common in the Rolex world. I received the word from the Rolex that the watch was in November, my father in law who lived with us, was being to pass onto the other side. The family was by his side 24/7 as he was unresponsive and hospice told us ut could happen at any time. I realized I was late calling them back because we were so concerned with my father-in-law. I explained this situation in the first weeks of November. I was told "NO worries, terribly sorry for what you are going through, family comes first always, no worries this watch is here for you when you get your act together after services and everything was done. Last week my husband went into the store spoke to 'Brandon and was told no worries as long as your planning on getting it by Christmas. We assured him we were, the only challenge was to surprise her at the store again or to just purchase the watch and put it under the tree. Yesterday we decided to purchase the watch and put it under the tree. So guess what happens now Brandon Sold our watch from under us. Claiming he called. I have an iPhone it tracks all calls no calls were made. We saved 7300 to pay for this watch and taxes. Do you know what he said when I said I was going to Yelp this, "well if you choose to publicly embarrass me over something so MINIMAL go ahead?' So Brandon is so used to selling 25K-100k Rolexes, My little 7300 Rolex was probably for some regular buyer. Does Brandon know how long it takes to save $7300 in cash to pay for the watch outright?! In my opinion, Brandon needs to go back to hawking necklaces and earrings at the front of the store because the Rolex Title has gone to his head and he only cares about his big customers. He claimed to be offering us something,, it was another watch my daughter didn't want. She spent two hours picking out the face the bracket all of it. So if anyone is reading this and has a referrer to another jeweler let me know, at this point, I'm driving to Longs in NH and placing an order. \ BTW He was thrilled when I said I was going to yelp the whole happy experience when she gets her watch. Now when I use this forum, to tell the truth I'm being petty by telling the truth. Rolex- if you any say - Brandon is too comfortable in his job and fresh blood needs to be put in place. Great customer service! I purchased my wedding band from providence diamonds an year and a half ago. Recently, one of the diamonds from my wedding band fell off. I took it to a jeweler to have it looked at as I had moved from the east coast. I was told that the prongs and the diamonds were not sitting properly. Worried, I called providence diamonds and spoke with Steve. He promised to take a look at the ring and see what he can do during my next visit to the east coast. As soon as Steve saw my ring, he apologized for the poorly set diamonds and made a new setting for my stones. "I am not comfortable selling you something I am not satisfied with" were his exact words. The staff at this place really do know how to take care of their customers. I must say what I expected is what I received. Pure professionalism and a great experience. This time a lady named Alyse helped us. She was an absolute pleasure to work with and extremely knowledgeable of the Rolex line. Not only did she have one of the watches available for my cousin but was able to order the other one. Bought a watch here a few months ago. The sales woman that helped me was OK. She seemed to be more interested in my handbag and where I bought it from than selling me a Rolex. After spending about 20 minutes in the store I chose the watch (which had to be ordered) and paid for it in full. She was going to call me in about a week when it arrived. It did come on time and I happily went in to pick it up. It's beautiful! PDC also gave me a watch winder to keep the Rolex operating when I am not wearing it for a few days. So my experience so far is pretty good. My reason for giving 3 stars is what happened after I picked up the watch. The saleswoman that helped me told me that PDC would offer me an appraisal on the watch so that I could insure it. She promised to have it ready when I picked up my Rolex but it wasn't. This went on and on for 3 weeks...I called and it wasn't ready.....I called again and the man I spoke with had nothing on record that says I was supposed to get an appraisal...then I called again, she was out and I spoke with another sales associate who apologized and promised I would get one in a few days. Nobody bothered to call me back so I went in to the store, asked firmly for my appraisal and was finally given one...they did apologize but I was really ticked off by how unprofessionally they handled it. read more

Ring Update: I recently went to a small, family owned jewelry store, where they actually took the time to measure my finger and actually treated me like a customer (gasp! I think it would have been useful if Providence Diamond staff had actually TRIED and even looked at my hands), and I actually needed a size 4 ring (down from a 5.5). Would highly recommend you get anything said by sales associate in writing with regards to refunds. Also would suggest if ever buying David Yurman that you buy directly from Yurman. We bought our wedding bands here ten years ago, my wife bought me a bracelet last year that is really nice, and when I stopped by last night asking if I could order a bracelet for my wife (I had two pictures from the David Yurman website), I was surprised to find out that they actually had them in stock! Props to PDC. My only beef with PDC was that I sent them an email with some questions and it went unanswered so I had to stop in instead. If you offer assistance via email, make sure you actually respond to them! I visited this store to have several pieces of jewelry repaired. When I returned to pick up the items I was met with horrible customer service, the salesperson seemed to not want to spend their time speaking with me. On top of that some of the repairs I requested were not made, and when I brought this to the attention of the salesperson they were rude and resistant to reducing the price to exclude the cost of the repairs they did not do. When I returned home my daughter put on the pearl earring Providence Diamond Co. claimed they had fixed and it immediately fell off the post again. My review is based solely off the ring I am wearing and not their customer service. I was proposed to on 7/4 so it has been a month and a diamond fell out of my band. I am so upset over this as this was not a cheap purchase. I am so careful with it, I take it off every day before the gym. I will be bringing it in to be fixed, however who wants to spend 6 grand for this to happen in a month. It has me feeling like this will continue to happen and I wish I was advised against not getting a ring with small diamonds in the band as this is prone to those problems.
