I wanted to browse the store but the employees (there were two present at the time) seemed like they didn't want me there so I ended up leaving without getting a close look at any of the store's inventory and just having a cursory glance. I probably won't go back for a while, and it's already been a while since this visit, but it soured me on the place.

Then I received a voicemail that they were done (before designated date). My husband traveled the 25 miles to pick them up and they said the pants WERE NOT done. When I called to say I had received a vm stating they WERE DONE, they went to look and lo and behold they found them and yes they were finished. However, the workmanship is very poor. Uneven stitching and in some areas the hem is not even caught by the stitching. Very disappointed.

Was very happy when they purchased Rowell's and brought quality products and service to Jackson. Two months ago I bought a new Sebo which was a great vac but only used it 3 times before new carpet was installed. Despite bringing home carpet samples, we found to our shock the installed carpet was WAY thicker than what we thought we were getting. So the Sebo model we just bought was not going to cut it. Rowell's allowed a trade in for a different Sebo that does work without any hassle and Rex was thorough in his guidance. What a relief! This kind of service does not exist at the big box stores. You might think you are paying more for your vac but remember they service what they sell and will keep it running for many years which is real value.

I have a Samsung dryer that was making a squeaking/grinding noise. After digging online and…read morewatching a few YouTube videos, I thought the rollers were the issue and sent out a handful of appliance repair quotes on Yelp. A&S was first to quickly respond and tentatively answer all my questions. In about an hour, Soslan showed up to take a look at the dryer. He advised in his experience the noise was likely a pulley versus the rollers and provided a fair estimate. Upon disassembling the unit, he updated me on the issue (which was the pulley) and the total cost of the job, which was slightly lower than the original quote! He had the tools/parts on hand and about hour later the dryer was up and running again - noise gone! Soslan is awesome and professional. I appreciated his excellent communication. If I have any other home appliance issues, I will definitely give him a call. NOTE: Invoices are provided and credit cards are accepted via PayPal card reader. I sent him funds direct from the PayPal app. Thank you again Soslan!

It was a great size but sold mostly machines - just a small corner of fabric. The woman working there was pleasant, answered our questions (except the one that we didn't ask "Where is all the fabric?"). For me to go in a fabric store and NOT SPEND A PENNY is pretty inconceivable. Next time, I will drive to Lansing to shop. Although if you are looking for a sewing machine, they did have a large selection there.
