I paid them 3/4 of the total amount(approx $6,000) and never got the work finished and was denied any type of refund. 4 months went by and I had to hire another company to finish the job. Research this company, they have a long history of this type of behavior with taking money and not finishing the work. On March 18, I paid Sean (through Jena Mae) a deposit of $245 to repair a window pane. 2. On March 21, Jenamae told me the work was completed and that I should pay the remaining $245. 3. I went to the house the next day and saw that the work was NOT completed - even though Jenamae texted me that it had been completed. 4. Sean never completed the work - seems like he just decided not to do it. On April 7. I got another vendor to fix the window. 5. I have repeatedly requested that they refund my deposit. Over the course of the past five months, Jenamae has said at different times (i) they have already refunded me (ii) she is dealing with a health issue and (i) they will refund that day. 6. On September 8, I took Sean to small claims court and was awarded a judgement against him for a refund of the deposit. I have documentation for every statement above and, if challenged, can and will provide evidence on the thread. Again, the work is fine but the undercurrent of dishonesty by Sean and Jenamae is downright bizarre - especially if you consider the amount of work we had already done and would have done going forward. The case was in Franklin County Small Claims and case number is 2020 CVI 015228. Plus he gives a 20% discount for return customers. We hired him to: replace the roof, replace all windows, re-do the master bathroom, finish the basement with a new bathroom, bedroom and media room, and build a new paver patio with fire pit. All of this work took about two months and, overall, we were happy with the cost, quality and our interactions with him. He was accommodating to our overall vision and also offered us many suggestions to improve the end product as well. If we didn't like something he would make it right. He even came back twice after the job was done to do a touch up with the paint and to re-do the bannister that was loose on the wall. He also went over and above what the contract stated on different occasions. One example- He set up the electronics for the TV and the surround sound in the basement at no charge. That was a huge help to us. If I had to offer any improvement suggestions, his billing statements could be stated more clearly. For the amount of money we were paying for these projects and how little wiggle room we had over the budget, I monitored the budget vs the spend very closely and it was very hard for me to figure out the spend vs the work completed using the invoice tracking system he used. But he sat with me at regular intervals and at the completion of the project to go through all of the financials. I would definitely recommend him to others (and have) and will most likely use him again for future projects.
