They take incredible care of both of our dogs. Our dogs have been going to them for 6 years now. This morning, we experienced something really scary- our dog slipped out and was clipped by a car. We rushed him over since they're our regular vet and just down the street, and they immediately took him in and evaluated him. The team was quick, compassionate, and incredibly understanding. I used to love this facility but they've grown too big and commercial for me. We never get to see the same vet twice, they've gotten pricier and pricier, and we now have to schedule visits around 2 months out. read more

I'm very disappointed with this hospital. Over several months, I repeatedly brought my cat in for ongoing symptoms. I pushed for testing, but the vets kept treating him for minor issues like allergies or parasites, and with constant turnover, no one had the full picture. I wished they had guided me, connected the dots, and clearly explained what was happening and the steps to take-but they fell short. Eventually, he was diagnosed with something serious, and it's frustrating that it took so long despite my repeated visits. read more

I can't honestly thank this place enough. They are the kindest people from the very first time you meet them to the last and then some. The nurses and front staff are always full of love not only for you as a pet owner but to your fur babies they helped get my little guy the help he needed. He got fixed, a hernia removal and what nobody wanted to do they did which was get his entire mouth fixed and cleaned up cause it was so bad he was always in pain. Not to mention he helped fix a big bump that started to form in his eye. The doctor showed so much love to my dog the way he hugged and loved him made me feel totally at ease with leaving him in their care. I'd like to first off start by thanking prospect vet, they were very reasonable and knowledgeable, and also very friendly! They helped my dog and pinpointed the problem immediately as other vets could not do the same just prescribing him to more and more pills. After a successful surgery, my dog healed and is now healthy again! I was a first time dog owner with a 3 month old puppy so I made an appt here from word of mouth this place was good. My puppy was a rescue who came with all of her shots. On that first visit they insisted that she needed a rabies shot so gave her another.. a little 3 month old puppy had 2 rabies shots within 2 weeks of each other. This place should be so thankful nothing serious happened to her because of their careless acts. Also being a first time owner I had alot of questions for them, only to ever receive a vet tech who seemed like they had somewhere else to be. Always rushing and not taking their time. Can I say that the 2 ladies at the front desk are probably 2 of the rudest people I have ever met. I'm not sure why they hate to smile but this was very off putting. Dr. Gruzska is a doctor that you rarely come across. A doctor who really cares, with a kind heart, very intelligent, who listens to you, calms your fears, and treats your animal with kindness and gentleness. He always finds time to take your call, no matter how busy he is. He's been available to me for problems that have developed while I'm out of state on vacation! Take both my cat and dog here. I like it because they also have a store, boarding and grooming all in same plaza. And, they're a hospital for emergencies. I am very pleasantly surprised, the staff is amazing, the docs are amazing. They explain everything to you and they treat my 3 basset babies like they were their own. I would never recommend bring any kind of animal to this hospital. I recently had a blood test for heartworm done at another location because my dog is up to date on all vaccinations and wanted to save some money for when he is due in February 2020 for all his vaccines. I was told by Linda the office manager as she calls herself that according to the law they cannot fill a prescription without seeing the dog. Mind you my dog is only 3 and he is in great health thank goodness, but according to this veterinarian they are only about the money. I have already spoke with colleagues and there is no law. So, Linda has been less than truthful. They filled the prescription last April 2018 with no problem and now they have an issue. I'm glad by little angel will not be returning. Protect your fur angel and go somewhere that they love animals as much as you do. read more

I have tried this Vet again but I am going back to Bethany Vet. I am going to look into malpractice. I don't know what they do to the Cytopoint, a medication used as an injection for dogs with itchy skin conditions. When I took my dog Max to Bethany vet, they charged $70 for the injection. However, it worked for at least 2-3 months. At Prospect, it costs $48.50 but did not even work this last time. Plus they always ask if I want to schedule my 4 week appt for his next injection right then. Why would I need a 4 week appt. for something that, at the very least, lasts 4-8 weeks. When I called to say that the injection has not worked, the Vet here, Dr. G, said to give him children's Benadryl for a few days. My last visit here was $175. Giving my dog children's allergy meds does not seem quite enough. I do not trust this Vet's office. Trust is everything when it comes to your pets health. Plus there are no seats for you to sit on in the exam rooms. Very uncomfortable. I am going back to Bethany Vet where I trust the Vets there, especially Dr. Jackson. I wish I had never left. This is the 2nd time I have tried Prospect Vet and the last. read more

Word of mouth lead my husband and I to taking our little guy here. The staff is very knowledgeable and truly cares about your pet. All of the vets on staff are great professionals and care just as much about the pet and pet owners as they would their own family. Gotta say these guys are the best around, they take a personal interest in your pet. We brought our shepherd puppy Harley in, they diagnosed him with whipworm and got him on meds to quickly clear it up. When his appetite didn't return we brought him back, after xrays it was determined he needed exploratory surgery. Once in the OR it turned out the worms did a number on him causing his large intestine to be pulled inside the small, very tricky surgery to remove part of the colon and reattach the intestines. We transported him to Cheshire veterinary hospital per Dr. G's recommendation. He got great care there too. When we picked him up the next day and brought him back to Prospect for a follow up, the smiles on the entire staffs faces when he trotted in told us all we needed to know. Doc told us he had trouble sleeping wondering how "the little guy" was doing. Since he's been home they've called at least once a day to see how he's doing. Many thanks to them and looking forward to them caring for Harley for the rest of his life. read more

5 Stars to the doctors here and the assistants. They are very cordial. I would like to rate the awful grooming. My brought my puppy a golden doodle to get groomed and it was TERRIBLE. It was my puppy's first cut. When I picked him up his cut was all uneven. You could see were the clippers went deeper and other areas looked liked they were not even touched. AWFUL!!! I was very upset and the women at the front desk did NOTHING to help me. The woman who had cut my puppies hair had left for the day. I spoke to her on the phone and she claimed that this is the way a puppy looks when you cut it's hair for the first time. It's not my first time having a dog and taking it to get groomed. She offer to come back, but on the other hand she had an attitude my puppy had been there the whole day I didn't want her to come back and mistreat my puppy. My puppy was part of our wedding party and thanks to this awful place and customer service he didn't look like I wanted him too. NEVER BRING YOUR DOGS TO GET GROOMED HERE. read more
