We brought Quincy to Spring Glen and had a great experience with the vet. It was a friendly, efficient appointment with a referral to Central Animal Hospital for what ended up being a correct diagnosis by Spring Glen that needed surgical intervention. Spring Glen didn't even charge us for that visit! Years later, after Covid, we welcomed another dog to the family. If you remember how many families got dogs during that time and how it created an extreme demand on vet offices we were prepared for a long wait and hard time finding a vet taking new patients for Pip. Despite Quincy passing years before and therefore not being active patients anymore, Spring Glen welcomed us back despite the insanely full schedule. It's now been a couple years and we have zero complaints. Dr. Mags is so thorough and informative while being chatty and friendly. They're upfront and fair with billing and do a great job of explaining the pros/cons of anything discussed. We had an extremely unacceptable…read moreexperience at Central after bringing our dog in three times within 24 hours for persistent vomiting, abdominal pain, and refusal to eat. Although he has IBD, we knew this was something much more serious. During our first visit, we waited over five hours while our dog continued vomiting without treatment. We repeatedly had to ask staff for medications and fluids. Dr. Chen diagnosed him with pancreatitis, gastroenteritis, and colitis, and also discovered a pancreatic nodule that we were told could require monitoring for cancer. Despite these serious findings, she stated our dog was stable enough to send home. We later discovered he had not been given the pain medication we were told by her he would receive, and his discharge paperwork was never finalized by her, creating confusion about his medications due to discrepancies. Sending him home with an extremely painful, time sensitive condition without any pain medication was beyond negligent. Our dog's condition continued to worsen, so we returned later that night for pain management. We were again told he was stable enough to go home. Only a few hours later, he woke up lying in blood and feces. When we called, we were told this was "normal" with pancreatitis, but we knew something was seriously wrong and brought him back for hospitalization. During our third visit, we were told there was a critical emergency causing delays and that we would likely be seen around 8 a.m. While waiting, our dog continued vomiting and leaking blood in the waiting room. Later, the front desk informed us there was no ongoing critical case and that staff had instead been told we had agreed to wait for the morning team--something we never agreed to. A nurse then acknowledged that the bleeding "wasn't good," directly contradicting what we had been told over the phone. Then there was our interaction with the third vet, Dr. Wells. After waiting all night while our dog's condition continued to decline, she entered the room and asked us to explain what had happened. As I began answering her question, she abruptly interrupted me and repeatedly said, "Stop, stop, stop. Stop complaining," before I had even finished explaining my dog's condition. Instead of listening to a concerned pet owner whose dog was experiencing a medical emergency, she immediately became confrontational and dismissive. When I told her not to interrupt me, the interaction escalated further. Rather than focusing on my dog's care, she argued with us and created an unnecessarily hostile environment. When I told her if she could not handle our conversation and just wanted to keep arguing with us that she needed to go get another vet, she denied allowing us to deal with another vet. Instead, she placed a treatment estimate of more than $3,000 on the table and left the room after telling us we needed to "talk to her civilly," despite her own unprofessional conduct throughout the interaction. She really seemed to be having a serious mental health episode. Dr. Wells demonstrated a level of unprofessionalism, poor judgment, and lack of empathy that was completely unacceptable for someone caring for sick and vulnerable animals. Her communication and demeanor destroyed any confidence we had in leaving our dog under her care, which is why we made the decision to take him to another emergency hospital instead. Before we left, a nurse called us in another room to apologize for Dr. Wells behavior and we have since heard more terrible experiences people have had with her and this hospital. I strongly advise anyone seeking treatment for their animals to avoid this hospital and particularly the mentally unstable Dr. Wells at all costs. I also asked repeatedly to speak to an office manager. It has been over a week and no one has contacted me. It is evident to me by our experience as well as reading how they respond to their google reviews, this practice demonstrates a complete lack of care, concern, or accountability for how it operates and treats its patients.

Kevin, the owner, is beyond nice. I read in another post that Kevin is "zen" like with dogs, and that is the truth! Daisy is a shih tzu rescue. She was completely matted when she was rescued, so my fiance and I like to keep her with a puppy cut that she likes... I think that when her hair gets longer it makes her depressed and reminds her of her homeless days. Anyway, Kevin gave her a perfect puppy cut, precisely like we wanted. And Daisy didn't want to leave the place, she was so happy! For basic questions: her grooming was $50.00, which is a very reasonable price. The grooming included bathing, nail clipping and lots of love. We already made an appointment with Kevin for Daisy's next hair cut. I highly recommend this groomer. I had a few mix ups with the staff in the beginning, but the vets are incredible. I try to book my appointments early in the morning and try my best to deal only with manga. I like her and I get answers to my millions of questions without judgment. Recently began fostering a second pup who I was super concerned about. Issues my mom has been dealing with for months and hundreds of dollars later, was taken care of in one visit. The ladies love my big boy. And dr. Morgan loves my little beagle girl. Wasn't planned but I'm happy with their care. The beagle had a major infection on her tail, severe allergic reaction to who knows what, and she was miserable and overweight. We changed her diet, clipped her nails, got her on a better routine and her infection is fully cleared up. Got a shot and her itchiness has subsided. Atlas has all his vaccines and since he plays rough with his best friend, he has an antiseptic for his little scrapes and bruises. Both are on heartworm and flea and tick meds. I have two very happy Puppies.

Dr. Stewart spent 30 mins discussing Yeti's behavior and allowing Yeti to become comfortable with her presence in the room. I usually ask that he is muzzled when getting vaccinations but Dr. Stewart was able to administer his bordetella shot without any reaction from Yeti (thanks to some distracting and delicious treats!) As an owner of two rescue pups, it is so exciting and such a relief to spend time with a vet who cares so much about dog behavior and is really invested in their growth into happy healthy dogs. Instead, I was immediately turned away by a receptionist with no compassion and told to go to the emergency vet down the street. I spent time outside trying to keep him comfortable, and after seeing other clients arrive, I went back in to ask if there was any chance he could be seen later that day. I was told "nothing today" and dismissed again. During this time, Dr. Pearce did not acknowledge me or my dog at all. I later went to Central Emergency Veterinary Clinic, where the level of care and empathy was night and day. Ridgehill never followed up to see how he was doing. When it came time to euthanize my dog, I was told there were no appointments available with his primary veterinarian until the following week. I was offered a late Friday appointment with another provider, which I accepted. On the morning of that appointment, I called inquiring about the process I wanted to be present for the entire process, including catheter placement. I was initially told "you can ask when you get here". The receptionist did ask and came back and I was told no. Then, I received a call a few minutes later saying the owner had canceled my appointment entirely and that I should "go somewhere else." Canceling a same-day euthanasia appointment and turning away a distressed pet owner in that moment is beyond unprofessional--it's inexcusable. This practice demonstrated a consistent lack of compassion, communication, and basic decency. I would never return and strongly recommend others seek care elsewhere.

My partner and I brought our dog Koda to Ridgehill almost his entire life, and after our last…read moreexperience, I would never bring another dog again. I am truly blown away by the blatant disregard and disrespect we experienced at the end of our dog's life. We brought our dog in Monday, 7/6 after he began to experience some discomfort in his front right paw. Our appointment was late at night, and we understand they close at a certain time, but we felt ignored and rushed out by the vet that we saw. Not only did she completely disregard what we were telling her about his limb lameness, lethargy, etc., she chalked it up to allergies, which he has had his entire life. She prescribed an antifungal, apoquel (which we expressed we have tried and it has never worked, and we had switched to cytopoint), and gabapentin that we later learned was not appropriate for his weight. We told her he wasn't eating or drinking, she didn't bother to pursue that further. She essentially said his allergies were bothering him, we could take x-rays, and then proceeded to tell us she didn't have time for x-rays, and sent us home. We gave him the medication, he showed minor improvement. On Tuesday, 7/14, our dog started to show signs of total paralysis and he couldn't move at all. We brought him in that day to see Dr. Pierce, who is FANTASTIC. She was kind to Koda, listened to us, and showed compassion. She told us half of the medications the first doctor prescribed were basically pointless, and the gabapentin was 1/3 of the appropriate dose for his weight. Dr. Pierce hydrated Koda, gave him food, and took x-rays, which should have been done the week before. Koda was given steroids, and we were told to check-in. Wednesday, Koda did not improve. He got worse. We had to give him water through a turkey baster. We were told we would be called in the morning for his x-ray results, and we weren't. We had to call. We didn't get a call back until almost 4:00 in the afternoon. As the day continued, Koda continued to go downhill, crying in pain, unable to move. We called them back around 5:30 seeking advice, expressing fear he needed to be euthanized, and asked for a call back and appointment. The person who answered the phone said, "um, no.... I need to talk to someone and they'll call you back." Nobody called back that evening, and we had to take Koda to the emergency vet to get euthanized. The following day, 7/16, as I am typing this end of day, nobody returned our call. I am willing to wager we will never receive that follow up call. I am absolutely DISGUSTED at the way Koda and his symptoms were ignored the initial visit. I am disgusted that Dr. Fracasso didn't dose him properly, listen to our concerns, x-ray him (even if that wouldn't have made a difference), and diminished his pain as allergies. I am disgusted that we were dismissed when we called back scared and seeking advice, and I am DISGUSTED that nobody bothered to reach back out. I would NEVER bring any pet I may have in the future here again, and based off of several recent reviews, I know this is unfortunately not unique to my partner and I. Ridgehill wants to get paid, they do not care about your animals, or you. It is absolutely disgusting to me that an animal hospital would treat an animal at end of life like this, and their family. I saw more compassion in an hour at the emergency vet we had to go to than I ever had at Ridgehill. Avoid them at all cost.
