Bakery has NO signage for the surcharge they want to try and charge people to use debit cards. Fee is excessive.

This cafe has heaps of comfy seating and a good range of foccacia's to nosh on at lunchtime. There's lots of wood and wicker seating out front with shady umbrellas, and I would recommend sitting outside because the chairs inside squeak on the floor so bad I started grinding my teeth. Now, the biscuits: I had coconut macarons, lime shortbread, and coffee florentines, and they were too delicious to believe, try them for yourself. As soon as you place a coffee order they bring you a water glass on a whimsical silver platter, as if to say 'cleanse your palate lady, you're in for a ride.' The atmosphere is somewhat helped by the charismatic pastry chef, but at the end of the day, it's all about the cakes. And they're damn good cakes.

It's a shame because this is a nice little bakery where everything tastes fresh. There's no questionable "is this a day old?" stock and the cakes have all have a smooth texture to them. The drinks are also nice, and it's not a bad little place to sit in for a cake, coffee (or hot choccy in my case) and a chat. Sitting outside though... I don't like sitting down where people are just walking past non stop and the only scenery is that of the cars driving past looking for a carpark. Try the chicken pies, it's worth going there just for them!

While there isn't the biggest selection I've ever seen in a bakery the quality speaks for itself. They offer baked goods, pies, pastes, cakes and more. Unlike a lot of other bakeries you can buy a roll with filling, which can make for a nice alternative to the pastry heavy staples. The prices are also really decent, with muffins going for as little as $2, which is a bit of a bargain these days. The staff are also really nice and always have a smile on their faces. If you've spent a bit of money next door and feel like a guilty pleasure afterwards, then just pop into here for a bite.

Pasty experts are undecided whether this is a bold grab for a higher public profile by the Kronpuss organisation, or whether the fence just fell down. Whatever's going on, the increased exposure is likely to mean more business for the Ladies In Accounts and their biscuit tin. The question is - can they handle it? Stay tuned...

Rheinland German Bakery is amazing value for money, and sells the biggest individual apple pies…read moreI've ever laid eyes on, for a whopping $2.50. Like true German food, the pasty here is quite dense and heavy, but everything is sweet and tasty. Oh, and did I mention cheap? They have some German specialties like pretzels and an odd kind of doughy jam roll, along with the usual fare of muffins and vanilla slice and hedgehog slice. One you won't find elsewhere is their "Nut Corner", a delicious slab of chocolate coated crunchy nut slice, of crushed nuts held together with glucose and honey. YUM. Hello my week's worth of fat. But for $2.50, who could resist? Someone else maybe, but not me. They also have a deal for a cappuccino and a muffin for $4.00. The coffee when I had it was a little over-heated, but apart from that it was okay. The muffins are small compared to the rest of the sweets, but were moist and tasty. They also do a standard range of pies and sausage rolls to satisfy the lunch seeker, and soft drinks and carton iced-coffees. This is a great place for a cheap lunch, and a must-visit for lovers of bargain sweets!

The staff weren't the friendliest, I didn't receive a single smile or attempt at conversation but at the end of the day you go to a bakery for the food. I ordered a Roast Pork roll with extra butter as I usually do. I paid an extra 50c for extra butter and the lady put the same amount butter on my roll as my partners who only got the normal amount of butter. Not a big deal as its only 50c but abit irritating. Overall the roll as a whole was delicious! Good quality pork, the veggies tasted fresh and all complimented each other. Would recommend to check it out if in the area.

This is definitely the least appealing of the three; there is nowhere to sit, except for two single chairs flanking the door, the atmosphere feels more like a warehouse than a bakery, as the walls are stacked with boxes of various packaged products, and the clientele can be somewhat...frightening. I queued up with a loud woman in a wheelchair, a man who smelt like he hadn't seen a shower in years, and a tradesman with less than room temperature IQ. And we were all there for the Vietnamese pork rolls. Their rolls are $3.50 for single meat or $4 for combination or Thai chicken. I went the Thai chicken - delicious! Suspect paste on the bottom - I don't want to know its ingredients - yet full of fresh coriander, cucumber, carrot, and tasty chicken. I also tried a rice cake of some description - I wouldn't go there again. It had the taste and consistency of thin rice noodles cooked into a clump and piled with sugar. The other sweets in here look aed little too colourful and creamy - I like my colour as real as possible, same with my cream, so I stayed away. Definitely worth venturing in here for the rolls though. Follow the locals, they know where it's at.
