There's lots of wood and wicker seating out front with shady umbrellas, and I would recommend sitting outside because the chairs inside squeak on the floor so bad I started grinding my teeth. Now, the biscuits: I had coconut macarons, lime shortbread, and coffee florentines, and they were too delicious to believe, try them for yourself. As soon as you place a coffee order they bring you a water glass on a whimsical silver platter, as if to say 'cleanse your palate lady, you're in for a ride.' The atmosphere is somewhat helped by the charismatic pastry chef, but at the end of the day, it's all about the cakes. And they're damn good cakes.

The drinks are also nice, and it's not a bad little place to sit in for a cake, coffee (or hot choccy in my case) and a chat. Sitting outside though... I don't like sitting down where people are just walking past non stop and the only scenery is that of the cars driving past looking for a carpark. Suspect paste on the bottom - I don't want to know its ingredients - yet full of fresh coriander, cucumber, carrot, and tasty chicken. I also tried a rice cake of some description - I wouldn't go there again. It had the taste and consistency of thin rice noodles cooked into a clump and piled with sugar. The other sweets in here look aed little too colourful and creamy - I like my colour as real as possible, same with my cream, so I stayed away. The easiest way is to find Motoquip in Sefton Plaza, and walk down the ally next to it, then the Bakery is to your right. Only a small shop, with no airs or graces, but they stock some good grub! Later in the day the left over stock gets reduced dramatically, so make sure if you are in the area near closing time to drop by and grab a cheap snack!
