The million dollar question: Is the manager of this place ok with the girl who works the front desk calling a customer a weirdo which in the context of things didn't even make sense? I say "girl" because she is the age of a woman with the maturity of a child. I've been going to this place for years but won't be returning. On previous occasions, I had always just walked in with my bags of documents to be shredded but the woman who works the front desk adamantly told me that isn't how they operate. Even other reviewers have said how they take walk in business. I told her that I had been a customer for years and she cast doubt on that by saying "really?" in a snide way. I can easily provide bank statements showing my previous transactions. I walked in with three bags on Friday, September 11th shortly before 1pm and was immediately given an attitude. I was told to bring the bags outside to the garage doors and she would bring the barrels out for me to dump my documents into. I bring the bags out and she tells me in a harsh tone to dump them in. She had already made that clear inside so I merely responded by saying that I already knew that and didn't need to be told again. If I had an attitude, it was simply a response to her abysmal attitude and acting put out because a customer came in. Once inside to make my payment, I told her that I didn't appreciate her tone. She responds by denying it, turning it around on me, and then has the audacity to call me a weirdo. How can a person in a customer service job call a customer a childish name? She didn't have a substantive argument and needed to resort to name calling. She lost her temper and it was reminiscent of a child's behavior. Her outburst was completely unwarranted and the magnitude of the tantrum was completely misaligned with the circumstances. In addition; (which I forgot to previously mention) in the midst of her charade she told me that when I came in that she had "just come out of the bathroom" as if this served as a justification for her terrible service. Someone that is this thin skinned doesn't belong working with customers. The last time I was in there it was a different woman and she couldn't have been better. read more

I'm in the process of moving and had accumulated what I considered a significant amount of documents that needed to be shredded. I checked around and was less than satisfied with the security around my documents until they were picked up to be taken to the facility. I luckily found ProShred Denver. The gal who took care of me on the phone was very kind, supportive and efficient. She provided with me choices and assurances that my documents would be safe guarded until they were shredded the same day at the place I dropped them. She was true to her word! This company may be great, but their trucks are incredibly loud while doing the shredding - and offering to schedule this service in residential neighborhoods at 7:30am is completely insensitive for self-employed people, those who work at night, etc., which is what happened in my Highlands Ranch neighborhood today. Their offices don't even open until 8am. They shouldn't be allowed to share high decibel noise that rivals jet engines before 8am. That's just bad business practice. read more

We had lots of old sensitive home documents that we had collected over the years. We needed to thin the herd. After some shopping around I found ProShred. Reasonably priced and simple. Show up, empty your papers into bins, pay, drive off. We had 14 cardboard file boxes. The bins are stored in a secure area until the trucks return at the end of the day and then chopped up. I was in and out in, oh, 20 minutes? I was very happy with the service and the staff. read more

Excellent service! Highly recommended. I called on relatively short notice, hoping to get their mobile unit out to my parents' home in Arvada, which I was clearing out, preparing for an estate sale. I guesstimated I would have about 13 to 18 boxes of personal papers (60 years+ worth) of paper to be shredded. Mary, who I spoke with, could not immediately guarantee availability for that week, but said she would try to squeeze me in and would call me as soon as she knew, one way or the other, whether there was an opening that week near me in Arvada. I heard from her the very next day and we scheduled a mobile pickup for a two-hour window for the next day. Their friendly rep/driver showed up on time, dumped all the boxes into a bin, loaded it into the shredding truck, and it was done! I am sure she quoted me $99 (their minimum), but I was only charged 90 ($9 per box). Well worth it! This is the kind of superior service all companies should aspire to deliver! read more

The woman at the desk came out to my car with a secure bin, helped me dump my boxes into it and locked it up. I had 5 banker boxes of shredding material and it cost $25.00. read more

I had a relatively small project that required secure shredding of some documents -- and I called a couple of the "big name" companies who basically laughed at me. When I called these guys, I was treated like a valued customer from the minute Mary answered the phone. She gave me pricing, process, directions, and apologized profusely that we were outside their home office service but invited me to bring my boxes to their location. She even shared with me what to do if I wanted them shredded the same day (I did) -- and that told me she heard my concern about being sure there was no potential for these records to sit around. I really appreciated that sensitivity. We loaded the boxes in the pickup and drove them up yesterday. The owner actually came out and unloaded them for me. I was charged slightly less than I expected since the owner emptied all of my boxes into these huge bins so I didn't pay for shredding the weight of the boxes. It was smooth as glass and I left with a smile on my face, a certificate of destruction in my hand, and a commitment to share my great experience with everyone I know -- and to use them again when the need arises. read more
