This company did not do an inspection of the attic, just recommended the "encapsulation" based on their assumptions. We contacted Koala for a second quote and Bruce spent time walking our entire attic. He reported we had no damage due to the cleared rodents and did note our 17 year old home did have some spots where the insulation was not up to R38 standards (some areas only had 4" of insulation. Koala came out and upgraded the entire attic to a consistent 14" of insulation for $1500. We couldn't be happier! We feel we are well insulated and Bruce and the Koala team are professional, efficient, honest and of the highest integrity.

Bruce came by when scheduled and quoted me a price. He gave me a fair price and I was able to negotiate it a small amount. We accepted the price and he got me scheduled in about 10 days. The Installers arrived on scheduled time and date the 3 man crew were quick and efficient. They even had a shop vacuum and swept the garage floor. Thank You Koala for making my home more energy efficient.

Our dog has even chased it a few times late at night. It was our tree and hedge guy that found a burrow underneath our A/C unit. Of all the places why ours??? I did a little research and found CritterPro. They have good reviews so I sent them a message on their website and they called me within 15 minutes. I spoke to Edward and described the problem. He gave me a reasonable estimate and we set up a time for him to come up and set a trap. On the day, he called me about and hour early asking if he could swing by and I agreed. Edward was really nice. I showed him all the holes and the a/c unit. He stated that the A/C unit doesn't appear to have been used recently and offered to fill it in. As for the holes in our fence, we could block it with rocks or pavers to prevent them from slipping in again. If the critter comes back he said to give him a call. Let's see if he comes back. Well, it did. I called back and Edward came back out with a trap. He explained to me how the trap worked and how to free any other animals that may get caught in it by accident. The very next day the armadillo was caught, I called them, they took it away and refilled the whole it made. Two days later, another hole was created. Ugh, another one! This time Austin came out and reset the trap. He was so polite and answered any questions I had and tested the trap at least 3 times to make sure it worked. It took few days and even had to had to flip the trap around as we heard some squeaking from the hole, then we finally got'em! They came back out to pick up the trap and the picked up the little guy. Unfortunately that wasn't the last one, so we had another trap set up and caught a third one! We thought that there might be a fourth one but all we've caught so far is a possum. It's been pretty quiet so far. Hopefully that's the last of them. Thanks CritterPro for everything!

RUN...no Sprint!!! I am extremely disappointed with the…read moreservice my parents received from Florida Home and Air (FHA). In July 2024, FHA installed a YORK AC system for my father--a dedicated 30-year veteran--after he inquired about our positive experience with a previous install 19 years ago. Sadly, I now regret that recommendation. By December(6mo later), the blower motor failed. Despite the system being under warranty, my father was charged $1,500 because FHA didn't have a certified YORK technician to perform the repair. To make matters worse, the blower part took 3 to 4 weeks to arrive. My parents are 79 and 84 years old--living without heat during that time was unacceptable and potentially dangerous. Fast forward to July 17, 2025--I received a quote from FHA for $28,000 for a RHEEM system. It was dropped to $18,000 with the promise of a $2,000 tax credit, which I later found out was completely false after doing my own research. The "top-of-the-line" RHEEM they offered was mediocre at best and didn't qualify for any tax credit. FHA didn't even know what specks were needed for the credit. (I realized that when I met w the other AC companies.) Even worse, FHA requires you to sign a waiver stating that if they damage your floors, drywall, or carpet, the homeowner is responsible for the repairs. That alone should be a major red flag for anyone considering their services. Needless to say, I cancelled my contract and walked away. I've since received honest, professional quotes from both Thigpen and A&W, and their service and transparency were night and day compared to FHA. Bottom line: RUN! Don't trust them. Don't be fooled by big promises or flashy presentations. Florida Home and Air is not a company I would recommend to anyone.

He said " $500 normally, but since you've done half the work i'll do it for $300." I was elated, because I thought it would cost around $850, which I happily would have paid. I threw out all of my insulation cleaning gear, figuring I wouldn't need it. Stan texted me 3 days before the job, telling me it was going to be $1,540, and they wouldn't clean out the insulation, "because that's not industry standard." Then he raised his price to $700. If he had originally quoted me at $700, I happily would have paid it. The fact that he increased his price, 3 days before the job, and failed to be honest is why I decided not to go with him.
