This is an awful property management company. We lived in a condo association for four years and worked primarily with Pamela, who has terrible attitude. However, even worse is Jeannie Dorl, who is an idiot who can't respond to emails and punishes you for reaching out and trying to do the right thing.
Upon the decision to move, I contacted Jeannie and Pamela three times to get any rules or procedures for moving out. Pamela referred me to Jeannie, stating she would send me instructions, but alas, three emails to Jeannie yielded zero responses. Well, move out day arrived so we proceeded to move, taking pictures of damages that were present before our movers did any moving. Then, I receive a call a few days later saying that I did not move out properly and would be fined $125, and that we damaged paint on a wall which would cost $180 to repair (we did not damage anything)
Ummm....how do I move out properly if no one told me the rules that I specifically asked for 2 months, 1 month, and 1 week in advance? They said I received to rules when I moved in FOUR YEARS AGO. Who keeps track of a piece of paper for four years? I'm sorry your rules are not framed and placed on our mantle. If I email you, maybe you should respond. When I told this and that we had pictures of previous damages to the woman who called, she said she would talk it over with Pamela. I did not hear back until the day before closing, when Pamela craftily wrote a letter to say we still owed $305. Alas, we had to pay since you cannot have outstanding fees when closing on a condo. Way to wait until the last minute to write your letter, while my husband and I are driving through the desert to our new home, to spring on us that you have decided to charge and force us to pay you.
I called to speak with Jeannie, who said, "I may not have responded to your emails, but you should have known the rules." Ummm...what? She then put me on hold and gave the phone to someone else. Epic fail at property managing. If you are a condo association, I strongly urge you to pick more competent people to manage your association. read more
