when in rome.......
need a home away from home?
steps away from the spanish steps?
it's been a while since i have been back to rome and was not really crazy about the hunt for accommodations in the heart of the city.
my last experience elsewhere has haunted me till this day.
but now that i've found you, there's no looking back.
booking was a breeze through you know which .com
information is readily available online with respect to the property and photos were representative of what you actually get.
prices were within what i was willing to pay knowing full well that i'm not getting the usual hotel type accommodations.
communications are mainly through whatsapp and they were responsive and helpful.
we opted for a minivan transfer(at an extra cost) to and from the airport for a door-to-door experience, literally.
but those looking to train in, you can probably do so via the nearest spagna station, a short hop away.
just do bear in mind the cobbled streets you have to drag your luggage through, when in rome.
early check in is available on a case-by-case basis and luckily for us, it was the case!
and we were very thankful after a long flight and early arrival to get that.
the friendly doorman welcomed us, albeit with limited spoken english, but nothing google translate can't fix!
as our unit was located on the second floor, he helped us with the luggage via a tiny lift whilst we climbed up via stairs to get our 10000 steps in.
secured access to the said apartment is via pin code.
once within the unit, the doorman gave a tour and simple explanation of how things work.
a physical key is also needed for the main door to the building itself, especially after hours, when it will be shut for security reasons.
so do carry that with you whenever you leave the apartment unit except when you check out for good!
location, location, location.
this private property has all three! :)
be it shopping, eating, supermarketing, drinking, sightseeing, you name it, it's a stone's throw away once you step through the main door of the building that houses propaganda suites!
once within the four walls, the soundproofing is solid enough to shield you from the throngs outside with the distractions of modern day comforts like airconditioning, heating, heated flooring and rails for the bathrooms, designer toiletries, nespresso machines, wifi, tv with netflix and a whole sleuth of channels, modern furnishings, cleanliness of a well-kept home, mini but well-equipped kitchenette for the units that come with one, comfy beds and bedding, even the sofa bed was a delight to sleep on!
intermediate housekeeping can be arranged at an extra cost, else you just have to clean up after yourself like you do at home.
special trash arrangements but you can hand the overflow to the doorman who will kindly sort them out for you.
extra toilet rolls are available under the sink in metal luggage looking containers.
my only pet peeve with this property is that the showers in the master bedroom with attached bath needs a shower curtain.
the rain shower is nice to stand under but the splash arising from it can wet the dry areas unnecessarily.
i ended up showering in the bathtub because i don't like wet toilet floors though i must say dries up pretty quickly due to the heated flooring.

besides the trevi fountain, propaganda suites will be where you want to go back to again! read more
